This was excellent. Our history is so rich, but most often untold, hidden or destroyed. Thank you.
I am ELATED that they discovered former black owners!!! What a treat for Jasmine and her family ❤❤❤❤
@@mhl8313 I was thinking SAME THING!!!! And then the Josephine connection! I love alignment!!!! 🫶🏾🙏🏾
I am thrilled that there will be a series with Jasmine and her family!!!! Great job, Homeworthy! 🏠 ♥️
My great grandparents hail from nearby Edisto Island and I love Charleston. I’m so grateful for this series. Our history is so rich. Look forward to next installment. Thanks to your team!
By far, the best HW series! Being a lady from SC, it is wonderful to hear about the history ❤! TY
This house, the church, and its story has impacted me in so many ways! Thank you for this amazing Part 2 to your Charleston house that includes these untold and truly American stories. A lot has been weighing on me lately about where we are headed, and then I saw this. American people, we need to get back to this: telling our country's story, good, bad, or ugly; creating the conversation frankly and respectfully; encouraging the discussion and learning from it with strong minds and hearts ready to listen and grow. This is how you build and maintain the American family, the American dream. Ms. Rose, thank you for inviting Ms. Lavelle Tulla to really showcase Part 2 of this historic home in the context of a prosperous free black community during enslavement in the South. Ms. Lavelle Tulla, thank you for telling the story!
Such a rich history, Jasmine there are no coincidences, God’s hand in all in your home😊
I'm so excited to go on a journey with this family as they make that house a home. It's differently different from just seeing a finished product without seeing the idea behind the decisions taken 😊.
Wow...that name tidbit is just something else....truly amazing!

This is one of the best and most fascinating episodes of Homeworthy I have ever watched! It literally brought tears to my eyes when the history of this home was being shared. Our people have done amazing things in this country against all odds. I can’t wait to watch more of this journey. Thank you Homeworthy and Rose family for sharing this journey with us!
As a lifelong Episcopalian, I especially loved hearing the story of St. Mark's, and the role it played in history and in the community. Fascinating video.
How beautiful!! What a wonderful adventure for both the home and the charming homeowner!
