I'm sorry, but I just LOVE how excited that man was to finally explain the logic of traffic patterns and lights. Man was having the time of his damn life
😂😂😂😂
It's always great when someone truly loves what they do and watching them have the opportunity to share it.
Always great to see someone that loves their job, especially when it keeps the city running!
Yeah and and the most coffees of his life as well :D
I will never be an expert on anything as much as that man is on this *specific* traffic
Hi all, I'm the guy in the video hahaha. I'm glad to see such a positive reception from the video great work guys. Love the edits, I've dabbled in a bit of UA-cam and editing myself, its tough stuff. Was a lot of fun! Also to everyone in the comments, yeah, traffic signals are fun :)
I'll give your content a look - good stuff.
Oh you're that guy!! Love the passion dude. Subbed ya. Can't spell scats without fun
I long to love my job and have the same energy and knowledge as you. You're awesome
I appreciated your energy right away! I could tell you love your job and were excited to tell people how awesome traffic ops are!
If you could come bring that expertise to Western Washington State, USA, that'd be amazing!
Scott was the real winner idc what they say. Locked in a solid score early. Hit the beach. Arcade. Ice cream. Didn’t have to wake up at an ungodly hour. Scott and editor Jack, you boys did it right.
They also did at heavy traffic time of day.
They also came last
pretty easy to do those numbers at night when no one else is on the road...Scott ''lost'' yea.. but lets be honest. he had the best time doin it@@rickydevon9399
Came to say this. Full night’s sleep. Scott is the real winner. LOL
Stanford and Herron technically didn't "get" most of their green lights, they triggered them because they were the only cars pulling up to the light at the time. I can drive around my city without stopping at 3 a.m. too
My hat is off to editor jack for going through all the footage from a challenge like this and doing the hard yards editing and doing that awesome map gps magic.... Kudos!
Did you notice during the minigolf montage that Jack only put in Toby's misses? That's some sibling energy right there.
3:21 That guys love of traffic patterns is just infectious 😂
Came to the comments looking for this. HE'S SO EXCITED!!!!
Yeah, that guy has found his passion
I'm convinced autism is chemically induced.
16:02 i love the response from Herron when he calls that Stanford had a better run than he did! "He's gonna be shattered!" and Herron in the calmest voice possible "That's upset me greatly."
That's Australian for: "Your lack of faith is disturbing." (Insert Darth Vader mask breathing here.)
19:03 not 16:02
"My disappointment... is immeasurable. And my day is ruined."
3:42 the cut from "magic wave" to a shot of an actual wave was inspired work. Did not go unnoticed Jack!
The scenes with your kids was so wholesome!, great fun idea!
Tiny visitors are A+ but I hope and believe the guys will limit it to that. Family vlogging is toxic and not centered on what's best for the kids.
@@chrisblake4198 I agree! Little snippets are great but making it a main part of the channel is a no no.
This is why HR are my favourite Aussie UA-camrs
I like your profile picture :)
Seriously some of the most wholesome moments in the 44 club history!!!
@3:15 you should consider posting the whole, unedited interview with that traffic expert: he clearly knows what he's talking about, he's excited about it, and I think he deserves a voice!
If they have the release 100%
Thanks that my son
When I saw the title I didn't think this would be exciting, i was wrong, I was so invested in this
Being a Perth local, this was 100% hands down the trippiest video - it was like spotto for our streets. 😂 Extra levels of wholesome, showing off scarbs, highlighting all our sh!t traffic conditions 😂 loved this so much.
I’m from Perth too. These guys are true local social media stars :)
Yeah, I know what you mean, i am from Rockingham
Loved that you switched this content up... no spoilers but the winning score was amazing. Nice one boys
I would like this comment but its at 44
Such a funny and simple concept. Laughed the whole time!
Love Herron's GSP Magnus! More with Magnus!
I live in Columbia SC, USA. I clean pools. Leaving my last job, headed back to the shop, I didn't catch a single red light. I made 58 consecutive green lights. From Kings Grant near fort Jackson along Devine Street, gervais street, sunset blvd to Pete Alewine Pool and spa. This was around 2:30 pm. Haven't come close since, it was a miracle.
I live near Charleston and know the area you're talking about sir. Truly a miracle and hats off to you. Bravo
Some STRONG "Tortoise and the Hare" energy from Scott in this one.
I really loved this one, boys! How awesome was the guy's energy at 3:27? Gosh. To be that passionate about your work!
That guy needs his own channel!
He is a real MVP
If they have a second channel they should totally post the full interview on it. The guy has passion.
Seriously! He makes me want to work with him on traffic analytics.
Yeah great video
..NOT there content has hit an all time low, very boring
In The Netherlands many of our ring roads that let you travel around/through a city work on a principle called a "Green Wave". If you accelerate and drive the proper speed limit of the ring road you'll reach the next traffic light when it turns green so that you can continuously travel on it without interruption. Any other roads however, tough luck and good luck getting green after green!
Also if this was done here I'd do it at night because based on the commentary clearly yellow lights count as well and here most of the traffic lights are permanently yellow during night time with the exception of continuously busy roads.
that's actually so smart
That's why I was initially surprised that they were getting up in the middle of the night. Around here, everything changes over to yellow-flashing or red-flashing lights overnight, because the traffic volumes just don't make sense to have traffic lights managing the flow of vehicles
You may have mostly yellows at night in your part of The Netherlands but in my part we have none. Traffic lights register the approach of vehicles so at night when there is light or no traffic on the road you would get green pretty well constantly no matter what speed you are driving at. if you approach a red and there is no cross traffic it will be green before you get there.
Same thing here in Curitiba, Brazil. If I mantain a Constant Speed in the main ring roads we can Go 15km and more than 20 Green lights in a row.
Also in the Netherlands sometimes there are indicator lights that tell you if you are in the green wave or not.
If you are not, just lower your speed a bit and you are in the green wave again.
In the middle of the night some trafic lights where there is low traffic the lights get set to blinking amber lights, that means caution and normal crossroad rules apply (right gets to go first) but you can just drive on if there is no traffic or if you come from the right for other road user (so they are left from you).
I've never seen someone so amped to talk about traffic lights/traffic control XD but I love the passion that came across!
The traffic guy is so excited about his job and it’s so wholesome to watch❤️
Props to the editors! This must have been a nightmare to edit!
As a truck driver in Australia I can promise the best time to get a green streak is super early. Gone one side of Adelaide to the other with no reds constantly around 3-4am
“As a”…why do people start with that like it makes them sound authoritative? Why not just say, “I’m a truck driver in America…”. Besides, with no truck driving experience myself, I can promise that with every ounce of common sense, the best time to get a green streak in most places with well managed traffic light systems is super early…it’s not going to be 5pm weekdays is it?
@@X22GJPWell, I guess he has the right to feel like he has more authority / experience on the subject because most truckers do actually have a lot more experience driving on the road for long hours experiencing road traffics at any time of day compared to most other people who probably just drive to / from work at the same time every day.
It's kind of uncalled for to react that way for someone just sharing their own personal experience... 😅
@@X22GJP I feel like you really needed to start your comment with a ‘as a’ pathetic angry person’ I have issues with anything anyone else says.
@@X22GJP to let people know why they may have more experience or knowledge of what they are talking about
I wish my city had that guy's level of commitment to optimizing lights because in my city I think they're with the oil companies to make you consistently wait at every light to waste gas and have to keep accelerating and using more gas
I can assure you your city isn’t working with oil companies. Your city might not even have a room of people doing traffic lights throughout the day depending on how small the city is. Some cities are using AI and some cities just set them on timers that can’t be changed remotely. Traffic lights like this work based on averages and some days the path you’re taking takes you out of that and puts you in a category that they aren’t concerned with. When you’re getting frustrated at lights someone else is having a perfect run with them hitting every green. It was a 20 minute long edited video and you’re comparing it to what you experience daily. You think they don’t experience the same frustration with lights you’re talking about?
Same thing happens in most cities of my country but I don't think there's an ulterior motive behind that. The traffic control is set up by idiots who don't want to give as much effort into thinking about our fuel conservation.
@@BiggestRedditorlmao at the room of people controlling traffic lights idea 😂🤣
Can you imagine?
Yo, this was brilliant, and funny. Poor Gaunson...slept on those AM runs.
I love this channel and this challenge was so different to all their other stuff. Who would have thought that driving through as many green lights would be addictive viewing.
It was really funny to watch Scott and Jack slowly lose their sanity during their late night run. Well done Herron. I think my best when just doing errands is about 7
Spoiler
This comment ruined it for me 😞
Dang man. Someone should’ve did a spoiler block. Not your fault though.
The fact is, user and benwolinski, the comments are MEANT to be where the viewers can comment on the video. So yeahhhh, really made yourselves look like dummies, huh?
Onto the comment itself, I believe my dad's best is 10-12. Nowhere near 43, though.
Way to go on the spoiler 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
This was an amazing video, loved the new street content. Great effort from all of you, but the winning score was mind blowing
Scott on the horsey 😂. And Derek, cool '60s style eyeglasses! Fun concept 🎉😊 Also, how about Brett and Scott's little cuties❤
If you were doing white lights instead of green, you could have just followed Gaunson around with his shirt off. 😂😂
@4:01 Now, THERE is a man who LOOOVES going to work every day
Love you guys. I wish more shows were like you - no swearing and very wholesome!
Gaunson just living his best life 😂
Perth!! Yeh!! Recognised all those streets from driving to work in the city. ah nostalgia
I have never heard somebody yell Remondis that loud, ever, and we probably never experience it again XD
Great snippet with the kids boys. Makes me appreciate my little ones even more when I see young dads just being great to their little ones.
Great stuff 👍
Credit to the boys for showing safe driving.
Gaunson pissing off to the beach and arcade while the others struggled was quality content lol
This video was insane dedication They went overnight driving just for making this video. Props to the guys and producers for being part of it.
They did it once. There are people who work graveyard shift every night
Okay, this challenge actually represents what the channel name is very well XD
I'm lovin' it! (the video)
Love the new direction you’re taking. There are some amazing new ideas for these sort of videos, I have been harbouring some 😉 Love you guys ❤
I just love the professional traffic controller being really technical, then just saying "the legends foretold".
The editing especially on this video was amazing, so sleek! Amazing job, Jack!
Lol man your bar must be set hella low if you’re meat riding this editing
100 likes on this comment and Stanford has to get a haircut
You can tell the guy from traffic operations has been waiting his whole life for this moment and I am so here for it XD
Im all for trying different concepts on videos, this was great!
I think we were promised the full run on the gaming channel. Not seeing it yet
It’s coming! Sorry for delays!
@@howridiculous lol, no worries, just gotta raz ya a little!
Between 1:00 AM and 6:00 AM in my hometown there is a series of traffic lights that used to remain green all night on Main St, unless someone actives the sensor on a cross street. People used to try and make it through all 33 green lights that were on this road without catching a red. I had heard of many people claiming to do it, but I never made it all the way to 33.
The city changed how the lights work after there were a series of accidents from drivers running a red light in order to complete the run. No deaths, but there were some totaled vehicles. Some idiots just ruin the fun for everyone else.
Love the style of this video! Really refreshing
Yo props to you guys you made driving a car all day into a fun video, keep up the great work!🎉
Never thought I'd be excited to watch traffic lights change color. I stand corrected. Amazing episode fellas
Ridiculous Getting Bit Awesome❤
3:48 A Great White Shark!! 🦈
……oh, that’s just Gaunson! 😱🤣🤣🤣
seeing them drive through all the streets i know and love in Perth is just amazing!!!
Couldn't have scored one more greenie to make it 44? 😂 Loved the vid. Watching from Montana
I enjoy this kind of video.
Thats SUCH a fun idea! Great video concept I can't wait to see my favourite Australian group HR try something new!
These guys must be the coolest daddies on the planet! How amazing would it be to be a kid who could say "my daddy is ridiculous" and not be insulting him.
3:17 this man’s a lil too passionate about his job. Lmao.
It’s a greeeeeny😂
This is a great thumb gents 🤙🏼
"Tortoise and the Hare," anyone? 😂
20:43 Is it up on the gaming channel? I don’t see it. Was that a cruel joke (since the HR Gaming channel never gets any updates)? Lol
But really though. Where is this video? Did they misspeak and it’s up somewhere else? Or was it actually a joke? I was kidding about it being a “cruel joke”, but… was it a cruel joke after all? 😂
And there we go. The video was finally (25 minutes ago) uploaded to the HR Gaming channel. 😂
Brilliant concept. Out-of-the-box thinking at its best. 👍🏻
No
Love seeing our beautiful city on show (granted we don't see much, but still good!)
Scarborough looking fantastic as always!
LOL Gaunson is having the time of his life while everyone else is hellbent on winning the challenge! 😂
What a fun switch up in content. This was so fun to watch. Really appreciate the dedication, boys!
8:30 Wants a green light run... wears stop sign shaped glasses. LOL
A different but super enjoyable vibe! I always really enjoy the vids where we’re just spending time with you guys doing goofy stuff :)
brooo how do y'all get 3k views in 9 minutes
Nearly 7k in 18 mins now 😂
How are they not stoners?????

Caught the old school HR music in the beginning, please do more of this! Loved the video, & your beaches are just incredible.
The challenge seemed really stressful but equally amusing! Just imagining myself in such a situation made my day.

True
I never thought I'd be so entertained watching people driving for green lights 😂😂
I knew that it would be when there was little traffic. Because the lights keep green at that time. Great video guys.
I mean, Derek HAD to win the greenies 😁
Just spent 21 minutes watching traffic lights and had a good time.
Herron's an absolute dog for getting 43! Well done, sir!
My best is 23, I was driving down through Reservation Road from Highway 1 in Marina, CA and got all the way down into Salinas. This was about 8 AM on a Saturday, so almost no traffic.
There really is a person born for every job. That traffic guy was born for his.
3:30 shout out to that traffic centre guy, he must love his job to go on like that
I wonder if Gaunson ever read The Tortoise And The Hare as a child.
I was kinda hoping one of you guys would sabotage the other by pressing the button for pedestrians 😂 fun idea though!
44 lights in a row would have been poetic justice!
Such a fun video. Really great to see the city you live in, and the difference in your traffic lights. Be well.
This was one of the best videos in a while (possibly one of my favorites ever). Loved that the challenge was ridiculous, but still realistic and relatable as well as the personal vlog aspect to it seeing you guys in your natural environment just interacting with your kids and with each other in your hometown. Oftentimes my favorite parts of the videos aren’t the crazy stunts but instead just watching the hilarious banter between you guys.
The editing on the traffic dude talking all that nonsense was magical, Editor-Jack! Good work!
This so cool!! As a Perth resident and civil engineer student wanting to work with Main Roads. I know these roads and highways well and might try to replicate my own challenge, see if I can meet or beat any scores 😉
So glad to see some new content! I love this more then your regular stuff. Keep it up
It's like watching a live episode of Bluey with those accents.😂😂😂
Editor Jack- excellent job! I really enjoyed the edit and storytelling of this video; we want more videos like this!
Great video. Thank for posting. Years ago I lived in a town where the university's computer controlled the lights. Once you got a green light you would get them all across town if you drove the speed limit. But there were not 42 lights.
Surprisingly wholesome episode. Loved the switch up in format.
At this point I am down for a video of Gaunsen just brainmelting 30 Minutes straight. Dude is a riot and I love it :D
Title could've easily been "Gaunsen. And a green light challenge."
Thanks for the vid ya bois, always fun! ^_^
Cngratulations Herron, good work, guys!
I love that you've shown the world how beautiful Perth is, as well.
Another thing, gotta love the condition of Perth roads, hardly a pothole anyhere.
They handle their freeze/thaw cycles much better than we do 😁
The montage cutting to Gaunson at the arcade was hilarious
Keeps you guessing till the very end, wonderful work lads.
I love this concept guys
Absolutely the best video so far this year. Really enjoyed this. Brilliant!
I always know going into work if I hit that perfect flow and no stops the day just begins on a whole other level.
Love this!
Appreciate all the hard work you guys do
