Make Jack-O-Lanterns With Swapable Faces Without Using a CNC or Laser Engraver | Halloween 2024
Вставка
- Опубліковано 7 лют 2025
- Last year, I showed you how to make Jack-O-Lanterns without using a CNC or Laser Engraver. This year, I will show you how to make Jack-O-Lanterns with interchangeable faces without using a CNC or laser engraver. You can create one Jack-O-Lantern from one Cedar Fence Picket. With the interchangeable design, you can upsell these Jack-O-Lanterns for year-round use. I also explained how to get these templates for you to use.

Bought the wood templates. Awesome quality.
I highly recommend buying the templates from Wallace. I purchased three so far and I will be ordering a couple more. I have #20 fence slats cut up and ready for the nail gun and glue, just have to finish the cut outs. I also took several fence slats and painted them yellow, I will be using the yellow ones as the back panel so when the lantern lights up at nite it will reflect a little more, at least that's what I'm hoping for. Thanks for everything Wallace...
Awesome video. Clear direction. Keep up the awesome work. 👽 out takes are great.
Glad you enjoyed. Thanks for the kind words.
Another great video man the out takes were funny as hell🤣
It’s a process to make these videos. Usually it’s entertaining.
@@wallaceworkshop I can only imagine keep up the good work! I have one of your templates coming in the mail Monday super stoked about it
Love the video, just received my templates today and want to try the the interchangeable style. Do you have any idea when your Christmas design templates will be out and available? Keep the videos coming!!!
Awesome idea. We started making some this year. Slightly different design. When do you normally start seeing these sell?
For me, September was the prime time for lanterns last year. But I relied heavily on local Facebook groups.
This is a great video with clear directions. I am going to try making and selling these this year. I will check the templates you offer on your website for sure. May I know what price you offer these lanterns and each faceplate at? Just trying to get an idea while knowing markets could be different in different places. Thanks again for your nice video.
$25 for acrylic and $14 for MDF. Thank you for the kind words.
@@wallaceworkshop Oh Ok - I was asking for the price of the lantern and additional faces. I think what you mentioned are the template prices. Thanks in advance.
Ok, so do you sand the cut pieces before assembly? By the way I really enjoy your videos. Thank You
Thanks! In don’t. I leave them ruff
Are you going to make a video on how you made your pumpkin's??
That’s my plan 😁
Do you sand the pickets before cutting to size? or do you use a planer?
Nope.
If anyone's curious those fence pickets are 5.5" wide, 5/8" thick, and 6' long.
Be careful, some of the cedar fence pickets are thicker than others, pick them out well.
What's the difference between the acrylic and MDF material for template? Is it life span of material?
How do u get the face patterns
I made them. You can get them here wallaceworkshopllc.com/products/jack-o-lantern-router-templates
How do I purchase the templates??

Not sure how you make interchangeable faces when the colors of each season is different.....
I choose not to paint mine. Though it doesn’t mean you can’t. Red can go with with almost any seasoning. Green too.
Just don't paint them. Just let the customer decide if they want them painted or not. This also gives the customers the option to paint it themselves if they so choose at a later date
I get you’re doing well with this design, but to me, the hat overlaps too much and looks disproportionate, again it’s probably just me.
