I grew up down the street from this beautiful castle. My mom worked for years trying to get this castle away from Carl Lopp. She would dance in her grave knowing he no longer owns it and that they are finally restoring it. Thank you for filming this so I can keep up with its glory.
Really enjoyed this video! Thanks so much for sharing the history on what serves as the "home town Castle" to most of us! It truly does have a rich history and it has been very exciting to watch the careful progress of restoring the legendary work of Asa Beebe Cross and the Sauer family's dream home!
After decades of the previous owner making claims that he was restoring it but trespassers were slowing his process (those damned kids), one can now see what actual restoration work looks like.
Yes, we will be producing videos after major milestones are hit. Our most recent episode came out yesterday, and we should have another one in a few more months!
I cannot tell you how happy I am that Sauer Castle is being restored. Thank you 🙏🏼
This beautiful home deserves this!!

What is the planned future of the castle after restoration?
The owner is considering a community space.
@@SavingSauerCastle What do you mean by a community space? A palce for meetings, weddings or other types of events or perhaps a B&B?
Oh

Interesting, but lost audio at about the 5:30 mark.
I hope that you tried again!
