I'm just really confused as to why they just used the track straight off the album that was recorded with the real Majesty. With out that cut away you won't be touching the 24th fret Also this guitar was designed to play standing up . it is a small body solid but light, the upper horn is over the 12th fret so it will ballance with no neck dive . Super jumbo frets also are a world of difference in the shred guitar game Touching the fretboard wood, is like driving a car with the parking brake on
@@BenjaminTeacher Either your taste is without exp or you are just new to the scene but play a good set up guitar in the $1100 price range and then let me know what you think bud.I was really looking forward to this guitar and it let me down very hard iv played on my little brothers cheap 2001 shecter and it out played it in every way , I think he gave 200 bucks for it back in the day with some no name pickups, but the frets were perfect no issues with and painted body and neck,i just bought a legator for a $1300 and got way more guitar then what the majesty was, The majesty was just so bad, Im just mad because i wanted the red one for a long time and finally bought it and was expecting a good guitar i had high hopes for it so i feel extra burned, i was going to make it my main guitar and spend alot of money on it on up grades but the foundation was just too bad to even do that.
@@jeffdughman9741 Perhaps what you purchased was either second hand or refurbished (poorly), but I own both an EBMM & SB Majesty. Naturally, the EBMM is superior in every way, hence the price difference, but in general, the EBMM Majesty (Monarchy) is the supercar of the guitar world. It's flawless and, to quote JP, "plays like butter". The Sterling Majesty I bought was in the $700-$800 price range (I searched out a good deal @ Gtr Ctr), the MAJ100X Purple Metallic. It's no EBMM, but I've got value for money all day long. It feels very similar to my EBMM bar the body weight, fretboard & neck width, but is still a fantastic guitar and IMHO is superior to other guitars in that price range. My advice, of sorts, is 'try before you buy'. I don't mean a quick 10 minute mess around, I mean a proper test, through the exact setup you use @ home or live, so you'll get a good feel & understanding of your investment. You wouldn't test drive a car in 10 mins & drop $ would you? You'd test it out properly 1st, for an hour MINIMUM then go with your best instincts. It took me 2 different visits & hours of testing and comparing to Ibanez, Jackson & Schecter before deciding EBMM is far superior & worth the investment. With that in mind, after testing (& ultimately buying) I'd certainly say the Sterling is better than (at the very least, equal to, depending on personal preference) other gtr brands in the price range. EBMM is 👑 though. My 2 cents.
It's great you got Petrucci to do this, but this demo does nothing to let people know how this guitar actually sounds. Ernie Ball needs to learn a thing or 2 from PRS on how to demo guitars
Y’all need a better marketing team. This guitar has been out for like a year and I’ve been interested in it, but there has been zero demos or videos or anything on it. It’s just a couple of stock photos on the website and a couple of pictures on Instagram and that’s it. I don’t live in a place where I can just go and try one, and I have to rely on online videos to make a decision and there has been nothing....the couple of people on UA-cam that has one made me not want to buy it as they all sound like crap, so there should be some proper videos. I kind of thought that was a given when you release a product in 2020.
Indiegaze buy it based on Johns reputation , Music Man reputation for Quality and if you like the spec- ... a guitar will NEVER sound the same in a video studio vs in your house. Let alone with you playing instead or through your rig.
So this one the 100 painted finish does NOT have Stainless Steel Frets He would have said that The Red stain Majesty has SS Frets I want this guitar so bad After my 2ed vaccine shot i'm going to Guitar Center to play one I really want 2, the 6 and 7 string models . This replaces the ibanez JEM, it is the JEM. for a new millennium Music man was always good at extreme cut away 24 fret guitars This guitar reminds me of the Uli Roth Sky guitar, but without 27 frets
The JPs and Majesties are John Petrucci signature guitars. They're designed by him for him primarily. He needs his floating trem and piezo pickups, and obviously the rest of the hardware needs to be pretty high quality stuff, too. Music Man is known as a high quality brand and they want to keep that reputation. If you want a cheaper one, you can get a Shilouette or buy a 2nd hand one.
@@Tangalang22 I checked Sterling site. Yes, the now name the models with the name Dimarzio in it... In the previous JP models, they just added the letter D to indicate dimarzios... Like the JP100D.

MusicMan has the best headstock design imo. Very compact, not weakened by angle or truss rod hole.
