Had an MGF a couple of years or so ago, great fun, mine was the 1.8 120bhp, The engine is accessed not terribly easily but by unzipping the rear half the hood or roof, removing some sound deadening and then a metal plate with several bolts securing it, then you can access the engine to service it, I had to do this to replace 2 coil packs and the spark plugs. Not a lot of room really for servicing and repair. Great review Mr Lloyd👍
Yes, I think you can drop the engine out relatively easily according to Mr Coleman. You are right that it isn't as easy to just change coil packs and spark plugs as, say, a Rover 45!
As a cassette tape fan I like that glovebox with the cassette holders built in. I know a lot of midship enthusiast complain that you sit too high in an MGF or TF but perhaps MH new their target demographic. Probably on of the cheapest ways into a mod engined car these days too which makes them a more attractive proposition.
Lovely little TF even as a base model it still looks like a lot of fun, I think the black trim like mirrors and door handles break up the silver just nicely.
A nice review of a lovely TF Joseph. They are really fun cars that certainly put a smile on your face. I've got a 2002 120 Stepspeed with around 39,600 on the clock which flew through its MOT last Saturday. I was rather relieved as you never what can crop up.
Yes, there were a number of limited editions available on the TF. I think that we covered them at the end of the review. They are tremendous fun, I must say!
It was brilliant! I sort of preferred it to the Mark I Eunos Roadster I drove last month, but don't tell anyone... I still think it was quite good, though.
Funnily enough, I don't think I have ever seen a rusty MGF or TF. It is gorgeous and well engineered to give a very sure-footed driving experience. You now have me interested in the LE 500 with the N Series engine. It sounds like that could be the version to see off the Mazda MX 5.
Many years ago, a mate asked if he could leave his wife's 6 month old MGF on my drive whilst they went off to Spain. Leaving me the keys and permission to take it out, I couldn't wait. I was then told the roof leaked like a sieve and the wipers had packed up the day before. Given the typical crap British summer weather, I left it parked up untouched for the fortnight.
I am afraid that is just the way it goes on No Budget Reviews, I did explain that right at the beginning of the video that we don't use a separate microphone.

A very nice example Joseph and although its the base model it seems perfectly adequate and it will still be a lot of fun.
It was more than adequate for a whole lot of fun, sir! Keiran does indeed have one of the best TFs I have ever seen.
I’ve always had a soft spot for these cars ❤️ another great review ✔️
Thank you ever so much indeed, sir! I very much enjoyed revisiting the TF a year after the first video.

We do like cassettes, sir! This is probably one of the cheapest mid-engined cars, you are quite right. The MR-2s are getting expensive.
Good to see that there are nice low mileage examples still available and they still seem to be great value. Looks like a lot of fun sir.
Yes, lots and lots of these still left!
Lovely little TF even as a base model it still looks like a lot of fun, I think the black trim like mirrors and door handles break up the silver just nicely.
You also owned a very similar car to this, didn't you?
@@lloydvehicleconsulting little red MGF yeah, currently in my mates garage needing some welding done on the car, never poke a hole and keep poking.
@@scottishcarenthusiastsandtrain, a cautionary tale for all, sir!
Excellent detailed review Sir. Lovely car. The sound and video footage great, considering you are top down with the wind noise.
Yes, it actually turned out reasonably well, I was quite surprised! It was a lot of fun, so are MX-5s, of course...

Oh, yours must be a very early one! Yes, I did enjoy myself very much, even if I have driven one of these before. Congratulations on passing the MOT!
Looks pretty similar to my old tf-although I think mine was a limited edition with the 115 engine sir

@@lloydvehicleconsulting I always preferred them to the MX5
They are better value than an MX-5 these days.
Always liked these, even with there overheating challenges, great fun.

Another car that just seems to get better looking with the passing of time !
I think that you are definitely right about that, sir!

I am afraid the good old algorithm has once again buried your comment for almost two years, sir.
what great condition, and may be a future classic?................
They are sort of classics already, sir!
Great review Joseph, it's a beautiful car love the silver colour and upgraded alloys mint condition.
Yes, it's the same colour as my Rover 45 V6, I believe. Keiran has kept it in lovely condition!

Oh dear! That sounds really bad. I should probably try an MGF as well, shouldn't I?
That is one clean example even if it is the base model.
It's incredibly low mileage and Keiran keeps it in wonderful condition! It was an absolute treat.
Listening on headphones. It's quite alarming when your phone vibrates
I am afraid that is just the way it goes on No Budget Reviews, I did explain that right at the beginning of the video that we don't use a separate microphone.
I'd recommend airplane mode whilst recording which would eliminate any unwanted interference from the outside world. It's completely free!
It's already on aircraft mode.
Ha!
I have done over 50 episodes of No Budget Reviews on this phone, so that sort of thing is just the way it goes, I am afraid....
