Driving from el centro to Blythe & Parker these songs play in the back of my mind and I think of the true owners of the land. The Chemehuevi specifically but also the Quechan, Mohave and the ancestors of the Maricopa that once lived along the Colorado 🌊
Idk if you will see this...This video is 10 yrs old lol but I just realized who you are! I know of you thru my cousin Markie. I would sit behind him @ some sings. I heard a lot about you & Bobby who I named "Driver" I called you "Machine" this was how I was able to remember which 1 was which. Its been a long time. I think about you 2 a lot and hope yall are doing good and still singing! Hopefully our paths cross again down the road.
We are doing good for what it's worth. Definitely had a rough rough patch for a good while there. Still getting through it all. Bobby was off work for some time, but back at it now. I don't know who you are lol, sorry. Bad with names, but remember faces.
Always cuz...... We gonna have to travel again next year. Was good singing with you and the rest of my family Annual Meeting weekend, and at the 5 Tribes Peace Treaty Celebration.
You know Grapevine Canyon near Laughlin, yes? A big slab with petroglyphs fell away from the cliff face about five years ago there, landed with the pictures face up. Keep singin'. I know you will.
