Its a pleasure watching you work on your Boat she is Beautiful you sure do know what your doing you have given me so many ideas and information when working on my own Boat thank you and keep up the good work
Just finished watching all 56 episodes in 3 days. Love the work you have done.It is really cool to see how you have gotten better at the work over the years! Makes me want to get back into wood working! Keep up the good work
Great video and great work. It would be helpful if you would describe the products and a little on how you use them as you go along. I need to do some of this work on my boat also. Thanks!!
kiwi grip might have looked nice on the saloon ceiling... my boat has pebbled textured paint ceiling over fiberglass. nice part is the prep is not difficult.
I had a batch of special clear start steaming in my hand not that long ago. Guess it got too hot in the sun. That sure woke me up! I’ll have to try that tube
Nice to hear again from you and great progress!! Great idea to use the old door and hinges. They look a sizing and add to the original look and design. Always nice to watch the progress. Thank you!
Nice work but bit concerned about your anchor locker. Remember you'll need a drain and you'll ideally want curved sides down to the drain plus a strong bolt eye to attach the end of the chain or rope to. Guess you'll keep the anchor on deck? You don't look to have much room with that central (forestay?) reinforcement right above the locker space. Sorry, just thinking ahead...
I'm betting that the water is going to pool to one side or the other once the boat is in the water. When I figure that out I will drill a drain hole that goes directly overboard. The 1/2" ply that is tabbed to the hull should be plenty strong enough. Especially with a backing plate underneath it. I haven't figured out where/how to mount a bow roller yet so I don't plan on using it as a chain locker for a while. I will store the anchor in a cockpit locker and deploy it from the cockpit for now. Thanks
What did you use to attach the piano hinges order the berths? I need to do the same thing. And I always look forward to your videos. Beautiful classic sailboat. A fellow Texan in Denton.
I used that Kiwi Grip in my boat as well, and I freakin hate the stuff! So slick, rough on a bare feet or a knee, holds dirt, mold and rust stains. By far the worst decision as far as products I brought into my project.

Man. You are killing it with this boat. It’s came along way from where you started. Outstanding. Congratulations again.
Thanks!
Looking great guys. Keep the videos coming.

Great video, nice progress!
You should use that whole front as a chain locker just that top half is t going to let you get much chain in that locker area

Looks great!
Good vid guys, looks great.
the kiwi grip will be fine how it is, it will wear down and be soft after the first few times it gets some use...
I love your boat! Let us know if you ever want to sell! You guys do such a good job!
What did you use to attach the piano hinges order the berths? I need to do the same thing. And I always look forward to your videos. Beautiful classic sailboat. A fellow Texan in Denton.
I just used some 3/8" pan head screws. Thanks!
hello nice video today kema was congested. saludos
Ah yes, Kemah congestion... I know it well.
You have really turned her into a beauty
Interesting progress on an impressive project. How do you plan to drain that chain locker ?
Was thinking of letting drain directly overboard. I've seen a few people do it that way.
Nice work! So will that old fridge door be a hatch to the anchor locker?
Thanks! Yes it will be the hatch. The hinges will give me a little bit of clearance so that I can use a gasket of some kind.

By far the worst decision as far as products I brought into my project.
Why didn't you tell me that before I used it! Oh well it should sand off easily if I end up hating it.
WHAT???? No thickened epoxy to attach the strips?!?!??! Mads would be SO dissapointed! ;)
lol yes I'm sure he would be!
:)
