i also think she shoud take some inspiration from the tier list that he did and put some of the s+ besties and some of the F ranked villagers and see if he can guess his besties or not.

I think if you had a points based system on the blindfold challenges it would make more sense then having to guess all three parts to get one point. If you gave 1 point for personality, 2 points for species and 3 points for the villager themselves then the score breakdown would be more fair to the difficulty of each sub question. Cant wait to see a part 4!

i feel like coco has a different sound from the other rabbits, hers is more hollow, maybe because she is a gyroid. but i could be wrong lol
it definitely had that “nutty” sound he was describing because i think it’s exactly that!! she’s meant to have a hollow sound compared to the pitch of the other rabbits so it sounds like a whistling reed or something and i totally would’ve convinced myself she was a squirrel and not a rabbit if i could only hear the tune

I did this on my island, I wanted an only cat island. I used the campsite method and it took me half a year. It would likely take him way less time than that though

i know this comment is completely unrelated to the video, but i just adore you. you seem like such a chill, enjoyable guy to be around. i watch your streams as often as if can. your editing is just phenomenal and ilysm seriously.
You should consider counting in the "theoretically correct ones" too, like in a second chart where you technically guessed right based on the "clues" given. That would be really cool to see!
I honestly never knew the villagers had different voices, music and intonations! I've got to pay more attention next time I'll play the game again.
I second some of the other comments about changing the points system. To have your % correct be accurate to your thought process 1/3 of a point could be for species, 1/3 for personality, and 1/3 for the name. Hoping for a round 4 regardless of what point system you use
Absolutely love these videos - the feeling of superiority I get watching Dagnel second-guess himself 50 times is unbeatable
"nutty-ness" = an kinda echo-y sorta wood-y sound? like a wooden rod tapping on a piece of hollow wood? and a rabbit sound pretty nutty but it's not echo-y and hollow. i've been thinking abt this so hard i'm startin to lose it

Honestly his familiarity with villager species and personalities is about the same level as my knowledge of Pokemon
If you happen to do this again, you should pay more attention to the words in the introduction. They always say their name somewhere so you could get an idea of what the villager's name is from that.
Also, if you could remember their catchphrase and hoping you can hear it and guess from that too. I mean it's kinda just a lot to remember but it's hard either way

Three species pairs that Dagnet has trouble telling apart: Ducks and Pigs, Squirrels and Rabbits, and Penguins and Kangaroos
coming back and watching these and im honestly 100% on board with the squirrel music sounding “nutty”. it sounds like a wooden percussion instrument, like a guiro. and it makes such a specific noise that i feel like i’ve heard in so many cartoons for the sound of an acorn falling or something. wooden percussion instrument SOUNDS nutty. he’s right and doctors hate him for it.
also, the rabbits sound more like a xylophone which is why they’d sound really similar but the squirrels sound more “nutty”

Challenge idea: Speedrun getting every DIY recipe in the game. Another could be speedrunning a complete catalogue of all furniture, or a complete catalogue of clothing. Idk if any of those are impossibly difficult but if not I think it would be cool

You can also tell by the decibels and u can barely make out the names from sound hints if u pay attention when they introduce themselves. Like, take Ruby’s for example. Play it back and you can hear: “Hi! I’m Ru-bee!” Albeit it’s very fast.

I like these videos! I think it would be fun if YT frogs could participate, maybe by editing in a way of telling when to start closing our eyes to begin guessing ourselves.
Squirrels have more of a hollow clonk sound, rabbits have more of a solid and high pitch sound. Like imagine in game the wood fish vs the marimba.

i know im like months late to this, but you could also listen to the letters they say to try and guess (that's pretty cheaty so i wouldnt recommend it). like when the villagers speak, they speak animalese, but you can hear each individual letter when it goes by, like when you type using the in game keyboard it reads out the letter in animalese so if you got good enough at determining the letter, it could be an easy win.
Him with pigs and ducks is the same as his struggle with squirrels and bunnies.
Do you know how long you have to play this game to be able to pick up on these things like the sound the grass flooring makes lol I didn’t even know the tone they sing your town tune in was species specific I thought it was individual lol

This would be even more crazy if the flooring was all changed to a basic flooring/the same flooring so you can't guess based on that but that might be impossible to guess.
It would be cool if you did a reverse of this challenge where you guess whose house it is from the interior
