How plausible would it be to try and get every villager to live on your island? There’s 397 villagers and I’m proposing the idea of trying to have each one live at your island for a bit. I know *_THAT_* would be a commitment.
I'm trying to do this but on the looooong run. I usually don't start over my towns and islands, or only restart once. I guess the fastest way to "catch them all" in AC is to use amiibo cards, but if we limit ourselves to the game only, we have NMT hunting, as well as collecting them from your friends' island. Autofill isn't really good since you don't know who will come over. :/ might be useful in the late collection when mystery islands will be mostly duplicates. Oh and I forgot, the campsite is a way to complement all of this since the visit is so unfrequent.
well if you habe all the amiibo cards it will take 1+ year because a year is 365 days, so if you get one villager everydays. but few days with time travel
Omg I can't wait, I've had only finished the fossil part of the museum (I started playing like six months ago) so I'm still pretty behind but I have to collect just eight bugs to complete the bugs part! @@RhiAnime what if you're doing the speedrun with no time travel?
@@kaelin_cherise it will take like a year
can't believe nobody's focusing on whats actually great about this video. your dog made it another year! here's to many more!
35:54 I just want to mention that I am a “new” animal crossing player and I love it I played it a little bit during 2020 and then dropped it because of school. I come back to it 2023 sometime in May. I caught a giant clam three times in a row after not playing for a hell of a long time and seeing that they’re apparently rare just makes me feel terrible. During this part he’s going insane at.😅
26:01 I was just chilling, deep sea diving while listening to the video and as soon as he said he couldn't find a umbrella octopus I caught one.
Man I rarely watch a video without doing something else while watching- but this was so entertaining and interesting. I hope the algorithm picks this video up and recommends it to more players!!
Thank you!
for me it definitely did!! :D
Didn’t know you could reload days to get more art from Redd. 😭 All this time wasted!
Now you know!
@@Dagnel This information is SO VALUABLE
Same i only have three art pieces 😳😳😳😳
How does one reload the day? Does it do away with your prior progress?
@@Kawaiicassie You Just change the time and date on your switch. It doesn’t undo your progress. But if you have turnips and you go backwards, your turnips will rot! So be careful. Also make sure you completely exit out of your game if you do go backwards in time. Otherwise no harm done!
Damn, Harv's island just made this run a whole lot easier huh
how so
oh right redd 💀
I was wonderig why I never got Rett on my island when I started lmao
20:48 when people say “Animal Crossing needs voiced dialogue” I hope this is what they meant
The self care reminder in the middle of the vid made me cry for some reason
Could you give a full museum tour. It would be awesome to see everything together at last
Ya can you please ❤😊
This is REALLY interesting! Btw, i have an idea for a future project: how long does it take to find every single mystery island existing in acnh?
This has been such a great video! It's a crazy challenge but it's neat to see the evolution of an island across all four seasons trying to nab everything. Congratulations on finishing the challenge too!! :)
Thank you!
No clue why 1 hr+ videos are so comforting to me but I’m not complaining
"When david is holding a book- HEY, eyes over here-"
Im dead, you killed me
you described the challenge and as i started thinking about all the time travel and trial and error involved i felt my body go into full organ failure
This whole video inspired me to finally finish my critterpedia…but I didn’t know the fly would be so difficult to find 🤣
Good luck!
I left a tire out on my island and it spawned a fly! It was during the summer months so maybe try that!
@@gabiip I remember I left a tire out for months on my island and still never got the fly 😅 Hopefully I'll have more luck on my new island.
I left out a used firework thing and its spawned a fly every time I pass it by haha

36:26 that actually helped me ive been watching vids for like 2 hours straight
this has become my comfort-video and i’ve watched this at least three times this month. idk if it’s because i feel better seeing Dagnel suffering or bc i somehow find his voice calming. anyways, keep up the amazing work!!🫶🏻
I am impressed. I have a suggestion for a speed run; how fast can you get all 10 photos of your villagers?
Thanks for teaching me that ‘benthic’ means underwater creatures. Literally never heard this word in my life before today
lol the ACNH wiki taught me!
im planning on getting a switch soon in order to play new horizons after finally feeling complete with my new leaf island, so ive been into watching a bunch of new horizons videos so i can get a feel for it and gosh this was so nice to watch whilst i did some homework, super enjoyable. im not sure how you made running around collecting bugs relaxing and fun to watch but ill definitely be back here in the future when im out of motivation to work on my museum !
Thank you, and hopefully you get your Switch soon! Enjoy it!
@@Dagnel Thank you! Im sure i will :)
what do you do in new leaf exactly? like whats the purpose (genuinly asking ive wanted to play it) but to me it seems like you just kinda fish, catch bugs, decorate inside ur house, and thats abt it?
@@imagery um yeah pretty much! as someone whos been playing since 2014 and restarted my island more times than i can count, the things are very limited. theres still the fishing and big catching comps, but aside from that the only things you can do i collecting bugs and fish ext, upgrading the town and shops, or going diving on the tropical island,, but im waiting till my switch arrives because im excited for the new opportunities on how to play in new horizons!
@@imagery talking with villagers is super fun since the dialogue isn’t as repetitive
21:02 this moment truthly cracked me up especially the cut off growl😂😂😂

You know, I've been watching your videos a decent amount as of recentally & I'm subbing for that.
Keep up the good work.
This video is majorly impressive - the time commitment, the crisp editing, and the overall effort are just *chefs kiss*
It has motivated me to get back into the game and catch more creatures because I often neglect that side of the game
Thank you!
I watched this in two sittings and I can honestly say this was one of the most interesting acnh videos I’ve ever watched! Hecking great job Dagnel!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed!
I thought you said Jack dagnels
omg bulk crafting - the AC Direct basically mentioned every wished thing except this I just noticed. and it's the last free major update omg, I truly hope they will at least add this as some kind of a 'quick fix' update XD
While watching this video, I completed a campsite build that I had been planning for MONTHS and never got the chance to do it. This video was really entertaining to watch while suffering and it really motivated me to get things finished. Thanks!
this is such a comfort video for me- its in my rotation of videos i put on when falling asleep. thanks dagnel
How plausible would it be to try and get every villager to live on your island?
There’s 397 villagers and I’m proposing the idea of trying to have each one live at your island for a bit. I know *_THAT_* would be a commitment.
Possible? Yes. Plausible? Hmmm... might take too long, even for me lol
So yeah, I'm pretty happy with my musem, good luck to everyone else who are trying to full museum! (。・ω・。)ノ♡
Good luck!
Dang that's really good! I've been playing fot a little over a year now and I just finished my fossils lmao though I did stop playing for a while so that's probably why

Dagnel: Or, y’know, we could just hit the 1% of getting the tarantula island.

I've been playing ACNH for one year and a day (started December 28th, currently December 29th) and never in that time have I speed ran anything but catching Fish for CJ- this is truly amazing
This is an absolutely wonderful video to both have in the background and to fall asleep to. your chatter is very soothing
11/10 Speedrun it takes a lot of commitment to take on a challenge like this, instant subscribed.
Hey, thanks!
100% speedrun. probably on this save file to preserve sanity, the additional things you'd need to do is:
pay off all debt
get a 5 star island
collect all golden tools
complete all nook mileage challenges
collect all KK slider songs
have HHA give your house an S rating
collect all clothes, furniture, items, and DIY recipes
only thinking about this gives me a headache, ans i did some of these already

If Redd pauses when he says the piece is extremely detailed, it’s real.
Omg really?? If this is true it'll save me time loading up the art guide every time 🤣😆

When trying to turn a normal island into a tarantula island, your best bet is to chase off the hermit crabs. They are technically bugs and tarantulas will spawn in the same places (on the beach, crazy right?)
you cant do this anymore i think
