Thank you so much for your videos and narration of your wonderful journey. May God bless you both as you continue your journey with love from Melbourne Australia 🦘❤🙏
I've watched many van life travellers, and yes, I'm impressed, it's a very relaxing UA-cam channel to watch, you're both so down to earth people. Be safe
I love Italy but never been to this part. It looks stunning! Your drone covers a great area to give us a sense of location. I too love finding the bars and restaurants that are full of the locals. You get a real sense of the place! Thank you
Yeah, we really try to balance out the "must-see" tourist destinations with more local spots. We've just spent this afternoon in a town where we didn't hear ANYONE speak English the whole time! (Look out for this one in a few weeks).
You are producing the very best films of van travelling in Europe. Visit are very nicely presented and creates a wist to visit by us wieuvers attractive information match the film! Take care. Longing for your next episode. Great❤
I do love Italy for the food and wine, architecture and culture ❤ but not the crowds! And whenever I go the Europe, always looking forward to blue skies and sunshine back home 🇦🇺 Will you be visiting
Yes, the crowds can get a bit tiring!! We will try to show you some of the less crowded, off the beaten track places. Where do you want to know if we're visiting? Your sentence got cut off!
Hi Nigel and Sue another great video thank you for sharing. What amazing places you visit and share with us all. Sue I would love your soup recipe if you are willing to share, Nigel obviously loved it. Great tips also for booking on line for those travelling to such places. Till next tie, stay safe and happy. Coen and Jay x
Thanks Coen and Jay, glad you're enjoying the Europe series. The soup is simple, fry up and onion and some garlic, chop two leeks and put them in, saute for 10 minutes on low to medium heat (don't let the onions get brown or it tastes bitter.). Add about 4 decent sized potatoes cut into 2cm cubes and 1.5 litres of water. Simmer for 20 minutes and then attack with a stick mixer to blend it all together. Serve with chives (and chilli sauce if you're Nigel!!)
Hi Jeanie, we postponed our trip to the Dolomites because there's been so much bad weather. We arrived here a couple of days ago... you'll just have to wait and see! The videos are a few weeks behind where we actually are.
Hi guys, what an amazing day, the scenery is magic, can’t wait to see more of amazing Italy, brings back memories of our month we spent there. Love your videos, can’t wait for the next one! Lainie
@@nigelandsueadventures We loved all of Italy, we spent one month there in summer in 2017 and every day was over 36 degrees, favourite was our six days in Venice, but also loved Rome, Cinque Terre, Como and Milan. Hope you visit some of these places. We are so jealous of your trip, it is a fantastic way to see Europe, can’t wait to see where else you go, hopefully many of the other countries we have visited. Enjoy, can’t wait for next instalment.
@@billgrinton1535 we will be here for quite a while Bill, while Nigel is working in the middle east. We plan to explore a lot of the continent - especially some of the countries that we didn't visit when we lived here back in the 90s. Italy is just the beginning!!
Thank you for the tour. I'm looking forward to the next instalment. I was going to ask about security when you leave the van. I saw Nigel installing what I think was a door lock. What is the theft rate like compared to the atrocious situation here in Australia? The backpack seemed large. I realised you had the drone in it. Great drone shots by the way. Thanks folks.
We have heard some bad stories about van theft in Italy, but I think you always hear the worst. Nigel was installing a (very loud) alarm, hopefully it will be a sufficient deterrent for any would-be thieves. And yes, Nigel carries his large DSLR camera and the drone in that backpack.
Another great Vlog, amazing how other countries have a unique set up for van lifers, I guess our caravan parks have something similar, but cost of staying in a van park is expensive for more than 1 or 2 nights, great editing, and it was nice to see Italy through your eyes, love your adventures cheers from Downunder 🦘🦘🦘🇦🇺❤️
We were just talking about this today Heinz, as we were enjoying a delicious Pizza. We joked about how funny it was that the first one didn't meet our expectations and every pizza we've had since has been amazing.
Barbera is a very nice wine, had a bottle of it shared with others thanks to a great wine shop locally that has imported wine as well. How cold was it as didn't see many others wearing hats on the boat? Being late Sep/early Oct guessing would be 10-20c roughly.
Haha, yeah we keep seeing people in shorts and t-shirts and saying they must be Poms. Most of the time it's been around that 10-20, I don't think we've had a day over 20. We've had a LOT of rain.
