Sunshine is a legitimate need for some of us who have lived most our lives in sunny places. The United States has a variety of weather, climate, topography, etc.. I grew up in south Florida, which is a subtropical climate with an average of 237 sunny days in a year. I moved to Vermont which has a continental climate & an average of 58 sunny days in a year. As I understand it, Luxembourg also has a continental climate, I truly can relate to your feelings on sunshine. While in Vermont I quickly discovered the sun impacts my mood & honestly my enthusiasm for life really. I don’t want to go outside when it’s cloudy rainy & cold. I eventually worked past that issue because It’s ridiculously difficult to plan your life around the weather when the majority of days are the very weather you’re attempting to avoid. 😂 In all seriousness depending on the individual, it truly can be detrimental to their mental health it’s called Seasonal affective disorder (SAD) is a type of depression that comes and goes in a seasonal pattern. SAD is sometimes known as "winter depression" because the symptoms are usually more apparent and more severe during the winter.

That's not true. That is the illusion Africans have but that is far from being true. I don't know where you live but I can tell you by experience that surviving in Africa does not mean you can survive anywhere in the world.
Thank you for this info. There are so many channels selling the Luxembourg dream and none giving this info you are giving. One should be fully informed on the pros and cons when making such big life changes.
I appreciated your honest opinions. I left recently after some years, now luxembourg is gone, there is no point to stay unless you have very very high salary and you stay there cause of your family. Personally, I find luxembourg boring (really boring), insane cost of living, no sun all the year, real estate not affordable (11/12k for sm!!). In few words, a trap, an illusion.
@@exileatsushi7165 moved back to my home country. It was not my first idea or most desired location, it just happened. For sure, I wanted to leave luxembourg at any cost. Why don't you like lux?
I refused a job in Luxembourg for the cost of living issue. Although earning almost double than in my homecountry, housing rent would have been also double. But for me most importantly: buying is impossible: a small apartment is 600.000 + Also much longer working hours. I don’t see a better work life balance and no future if I can't save a little bit on the side. Counting only on the pension is a risk and you need to live until then a little bit of a fulfilling life
Thank for telling the other side of Luxembourg, we from Africa think leaving in Europe is like everyday day is a Sunday. What's is the truth on this story

Hi, thanks for your videos. i am from nigeria africa and planning to relocate there on a work visa, but what do you basically would you advize be since you are also from africa and qyute conversant with the kind of environment and economy we have here because we from africa are coming with a different orientation and mindset which is quite different from those white people who reside there. What i mean is in africa where you earn low pay and want to go overseas to work, we have the mindset that after savings we get quite some good amount to be able to send back home and do a few things too but the white man looks like 2000 euros or 2500 euros is too small so they look at jobs that can pay 10k euros or 15euros in their own way of seeing things but an african person can say in my own country 500k to 1m in naira job salary is very comfortable but scarce or rare so when you are now receiving say 200k naira its looks crazy and not been enough to sort things espercially einh a family person becos over there in Europe its someone one day or one half days salary thats my full month salary here in nigeria. No 2. You mentioned something have unskilled jobs with low pay i thought the minimum wage ober there is 18 euros per hour so what exactly do you mean by unkilled pay less ,can you pls elaborate ,thanks
