Good Video, I always try to learn how to better engage with People that didn’t grew up in Switzerland and this helped a lot. I know we swiss can seam cold and hard.
Thank you for your efforts. It means a lot to an outsider. Seem cold and hard but you are actually lovely people once you are understood. Thanks for dropping by and leaving your input.
I'm from Jamaica as well now living in the US. Due to the blatant racism here I'm on the search for another country to call home, especially because not my 2 young daughters. It's so disgusting that every country I research I have to look into the experience of black people in that country and always the case, racism. It's disgusting because white people visit black countries all over this world and they are not generally treated bad because they are white. Growing up in Jamaica it was common place to see whites but I never knew what racism was until I moved to America. Not all whites are racist but as a people they really need to do better.
America is a large country, if you find the US racist then you will not find a single country out there that is less racist short of majority black places. Visiting a country is also completely different than staying, most do not care if you're a tourist and you shouldn't care either if you're there temporarily to look around in regards to what people perceive you as. When you try to settle down then native people take issue, they simply do not want you there, whether you'll cause trouble or not is not relevant, they don't want to take any chances. Too often large populations of some demographic move in, do not assimilate, and slowly erode the native culture, the Swiss know this. I don't care what someone looks like so long as they have good morals and are willing to embrace the native culture of the land they settle in. Living in the armpit of america I've been exposed to every possible culture especially black american culture and I do not have positive things to say about most of them.
You can’t escape prejudices. It’s a global behavior. My African friend experienced prejudice by an African American in Texas USA who made fun of her hair and the fact that she had a Zulu (Bantu) last name…. Shocking, disgusting and a fellow black person against an African. You can’t escape this, you can only sharpen your capacity to manage how foolish people react. Humans see threat to what’s different… it’s up to us to educate people. I make it a habit to teach people. I also get goofy comments by some Americans “for a person from. Africa, you speak English very well”😳 in my head I wanna say no shit Sherlock ….. problem is poverty is leveraged as a tool to generate money for all these non profits who aggressively spend on marketing on TV which gives skewed impressions of those nations. Every country has it’s different social classes. Most people only see the poorest of the developing countries and assume it’s the whole country. Poverty porn tourism is also something people can’t stand.
I wanted to thank you for sharing your experiences. As a fellow Jamaican who has lived in the US for 20 years and now resides in Mexico, I resonated deeply with your story. Wishing you and your family all the best.
I'm Asian, studied here for 12 years. I don't think I will ever feel fully welcome here. Even teachers can be racist. So many of my foreign friends experienced racism here sadly. But not all Swiss are racist. My best friend is Swiss and she's very open-minded! :)
Very Sorry to hear that. I'm Swiss, and i can imagine, people in the older generation being racist . I think most of the young people can speak english, and are also much more open to other cultures, thats why its just normal not to be racist. I was always the only Swiss in my friend group. All my friends are from other countries, or half Swiss.
@@xdlol59 Most of the time not. I dont think there is more racism here, then for example in Germany. Some of them may have the view, that foreigners take the job, of Swiss people away. But thats a minority, from what ive seen.
It seems as if you are very forgiving and that’s wonderful. However, what you’ve described and experienced is racism. It’s ok to call it what it is. Not having experience with a group doesn’t excuse bad behavior or mistreatment or make it not racism. There’s a wealth of information in this world and those who care enough can unlearn racist ideology even if they don’t know people of a group personally. You should never have to experience the things you have described. EVER. I hope that as people recognize the gravity of their actions they will change for better. I wish you so much happiness and peace ❤️
I can totally relate to what you’re saying. I grew up in St. Lucia and living now in Switzerland. It’s “nice” to hear I’m not the only one that has similar experience
I'm from Texas and I did my Peace Corps Training in the early 1990s in St. Lucia before heading to St. Vincent and I had a culture shock to be in places where literally everybody was black. On the first day of training, two local St. Lucian women pointed at me and another trainee (also black) and said "...look, black Americans..." It was really different. I live in Switzerland now, but I had been Living and working in Germany for some time, so I got used to Switzerland with ease.
@@chidijoseph6698 Some more Detail: if you are like me and did not get your medical education in Switzerland or the EU, you have to take some Special steps to get it recognized in Switzerland to work as a doctor here. For instance, I had to prove that my medical education and Degree conforms to EU norms and for that I got the letter of conformity from an organization in Germany called DIMDI (German Institute for Medical Documentation and Information (German: Deutsches Institut für Medizinische Dokumentation und Information). This was only possible because I had worked in Germany before and had already gone through the steps to get a medical License there. Specifically for doctors, you will also have to Show proof that you have a higher level certification in one of the official Swiss Languages such as French, German or Italian. For example I have the C1 certification in German. Ok, I hope this helps. I think the worse thing a person can do is to feel the need to prove yourself to a person who has a perception or box of you. Ignorance is bliss and doesn’t have a color. If they cannot except that you are a human with god given rights, then that’s not fear, that’s judgment. We should never teach black children they have to be smarter than others because that makes the child think there’s something wrong with them and it’s just our own crooked knowledge. -Thanks Baba Gregory
No need to be embarrassed about your perceptions. We judged based on what we knew. Crazy enough I used to think the same things! Those boxes you talk about are so real! Especially when they think you are poor because of your skin tone! Crazy enough sis, I had the same experience in Netherlands, happens to me in Jamaica alot! but only when I'm alone. When I'm walking or shopping with my white husband nobody blink an eye! So damn rude. I love this video! So relatable
Oh yes. Thats another topic I should talk about. The way our own people treat us when we have a White partner compare to when we are alone or with a fellow Black man especially if he is not flashy 😔. Great point
Thank you for sharing. Switzerland is on one of my top places for destination and I specifically googled to find about racism there. I'm in love with nature and the landscape is simply amazing. I will still be traveling there next year and now better understand what to expect. The saddest thing in the world is to dishonor a person based on color. I think would should be better than that. I apologize for your experiences my sister and send Love your way!
I now appreciate the openness of Swedes in Sweden. I have never had any problems here as a black person. I have watched a lot of Switzerland videos..it seems Switzerland has real racist problems.
Thank you. I am sorry for any "bad encounters." I am also an immigrant. White. Harvard graduate. I can't find a job here. I have a Greek friend. White. PhD in electrical engineering. It took him 4 years to find a job. Finding a job is just hard in Switzerland. I hope you are happy here.
Sis you're better than me - they would have had to call the police to take those bags from me. The burden of proof is on them to prove you stole, not to prove you bought. I'm moving there soon as this video as got me hot.
I am an American-born and -trained, doctor, MD & PhD, from California, USA, and am of indian heritage. I had to go to Switz. for official work, and teach at a hospital, .... and stay for over 6 months, mostly at US Govt expense. This was my experience... living a short term sojourn in that country.... , The Swiss both in the Germanic and the French speaking areas .... I found to be, incredibly rude and very terse and uptight, and Racist ... . unless they know you personally at work, .... or they are dealing with you as a tourist. ...... Then they are, I presume, fairly nice. But certainly not a good country to live in, for foreigners !!@@!@@ ... Whether you speak the languages, OR not ....
We live here and we love this video because it is 100% true, we were hoping to find a point in your review where we could object, but no.... you were on point in all areas. Love your spirit and the fact that you made it a little humorous. 🇯🇲 ❤️ 🇨🇭

Thanks very much for your video. I'm an African living in Switzerland and I can relate on many levels. I especially love your idea of trying to understand the other party before jumping into conclusions (e.g they are racist etc). Many people (sometimes understandably) won't have that much patience and quickly label people without trying to understand where they come from. Personally I've had a very positive experience in Switzerland (French speaking canton), and I hope it stays that way.
Thanks for the info, good to know before thinking of moving to Switzerland. Considering moving to Switzerland with my German husband and child. We both live in NYC. I am also from Jamaica W.I. Love your positive attitude ...stay strong. You are smart and beautiful.
As an African American who’s dealt with racism his whole life, it’s not a “box” that you have to overcome. This is clear cut racism. Sorry you went through this.
This was an amazing video. Very interesting. So crazy that they watch you in the stores like that 🤦🏾♂️, that store about the garbage bags, so crazy and so rude. The fact that we have to constantly prove ourselves is absolutely ridiculous!! Thank you for sharing this, very necessary and so very well spoken. Keep fighting and keep knowcking down those stereotypes, you are beautiful and you are great and there’s nothing anyone can do to deny or suppress that!!!!! New family here💕💕
Thank you for sharing. As Swiss it was a interesting to watch and I am happy that you don't seem bitter about your experience and you still like Switzerland. It is funny that you say in Jamaica you had the same prejudice about Africa as we have - I can still rember how they told us in religion class in school that we should save up our money during lent time instead of spending it for candy, so we could donate it to the poor and hungry kids in Africa. About the job search: For foreigners, it seems that they can only compete in either low qualified jobs (like cleaning) and the topshot positions (PhD/Research/Management in the Financial or Chemical/Pharma Industry). For the good jobs for "normal" people it is quite difficult. You usually need good connections, e.g. someone recommending you. Many job openings are not even published, the hiring is done purely by recommendations. I am a Swiss citizen and white, but I have Italien/Ticino roots, so I could be mistaken for a foreigner. As a student, I did a lot of different jobs, including cashier in the supermarket, security and room cleaning (fields were there are generally speaking a lot of foreigners) and I have to say that people did judge me as well (mainly due to the job I was doing) and I know it is painful. Some people will assume that you are stupid, just judging from the job you are currently doing. Like if you work in a supermarket, you can't be that bright...
There is a reason why Switzerland always makes it to the top 10 list of places to live. They are racist, and don't allow minorities to come in and destroy the place like we do here in the US. All black cities are ghettos. It's a fact. I would prefer to live in a predominantly white area than black area. You are free to call me racist all you want. Look around, check crime statistics. Swiss people are smart, and they even care about their animals...no strays. I hope they stay just the way they are and not let 'diversity' ruin such a beautiful place.
Switzerland is not an easy country. Swiss are extremely disciplined and expect the same from others. Every single point she classifies into boxes - can be used by anybody - gender, race, nationality, political orientation, sexual orientation - or the local Kantoenligeist (not born in this village) - and claim that they are exposed to these boxes because of their personal features. She is waving the race card - why not the gender card on top of it. Do you ever hear such comments from Chinese?
I have not heard anything about what this person contributes to Switzerland. Why would the Swiss be concerned about somebody whom they did not invite to live there? It is their country - can the Swiss go to Jamaica and hope they will be treated like "guests"?
Generally speaking, most people's views of other people stem from ignorance and limited exposure to those who are different. Ignorance can be corrected, but only if people are willing to make the effort.
Actually the opposite. I grew up in a country where there are no black people and then moved to the UK. I had no pre conceived views. I always treat people the same and try to get to know them first. I had the worst experience with black women bullies and racists especially Indian. So much so I was thinking to return to my country. It makes me sick how you pretend to be victims of racism when some of you are the worst racists and full of envy. You even steal other people identities and call yourself French and Swedish when those are distinct ethnic groups . Not to talk about wearing wigs to copy the hair of White women. I feel like I should make a video of my own to talk about black racists and my horrible experience

thank you for this video, me and my lady are planning to move here someday and wanted to understand how we would be perceived. It's sad to hear these things happened to you but its good to hear how you handle these situations with such grace.
This was a really good video. I've been watching various you tube videos regarding traveling to Switzerland, and your video popped up. I am planning to take a trip there within the next two yrs. As a Black woman born and raised in the States, I was surprised to hear about the racial profiling. (Or maybe I just felt the Swiss were above that). It's disappointing to hear that it happens there as well. Thank you for sharing your prospective with us.
I was actually recruited to come and work in Switzerland, so employment was never an issue. People from other countries have told me that they have problems especially if they they aren't fluent in whichever language.
Thank you for this balanced content and for sharing your reality. Although, it’s not nice to hear that this is the reality. I agree that there’s good and bad in every race. Your video is helpful for me and my family who are thinking of moving to Switzerland.
I am Jamaican, was schooled in the Uk and lived in Switzerland during the 90s. The boxes you spoke about are everywhere, not only in Switzerland - you can even find them in Jamaica. It’s all to do with ignorance.
She is polite and probably sensitive to call it out for what it is. But that is simply racism nothing more and nothing less. Conclusion is if you are moving there be prepared for discrimination and racist people.
Why move to a racist country. Vast majority of countries in this world have no white people living in them. Why would you go somewhere only to be oppressed . So many Africans risking their lives to cross borders illegally and enter Europe only to be faced with racism and oppression. With this situation, you would think they would be going back to Africa to escape the racists
Thank you for the video.Very enlightening.Im African living in Germany.Im traveling to Switzerland this coming weekend to visit friends l met 5 years ago while l was still living in Africa.I will be there for a week.Hopefully l would enjoy my week in Switzerland and have a positive experience.
Dont get me wrong Switzerland is a wonderful place to visit. People are curious and would love to hear about your story. The dynamic changes when you live here. Still nice but as I have mentioned in the video there are some challenges. I hope you enjoyed it
This seems so exhausting bending over backwards to identify antagonistic behaviors with roots in racial stereotypes as not racist. Doing mental gymnastics like creating terms like "boxes" is just another name for racist stereotypes whether positive or negative.
I (british born, swiss raised and educated, white) have watched a couple of being black in switzerland videos. So far yours was the best. You're introduction was brilliant. Although i can get a bit defensive when it comes to criticism of switzerland in general, i had no issues with your criticism. You came across very sincere and the criticisms are consistent with swiss characteristics... I my humble opinion. Would like to see more videos from you on the topic.

I am traveling in Switzerland now and had some racial remarks from locals and didn’t know what to think. Things made a lot of sense after watching your video. Thanks you.
As a swiss person, 4 years later, you probably heard all of this before.. Chastised for the smallest error: This is not because you're black, this is because you're a foreigner. Every single time I see someone break the rules of society, like shoving old beer bottles in the robidog (a trash can exclusive to dog feces), playing loud music bast 1AM, etc, it's, without fail, always a foreigner or, well, "foreigner with a pass". I connect that more with turks or ex-yugoslavians, but I'd guess that's the reason. Personally I never saw a black person doing any of that, but black people are still rare here. Geting a job: So.. do you speak the language? Imagine you're in Jamaica and you call customer service or went to a restaurant or asked a clerk at the local store, and they only spoke french. I doubt there's anything racial about this, just most people don't fancy employees that don't speak the language the rest of the team uses. Poor black people box: Can't really say anything to defend it. Black people here are very rare and most are quite low on the totem pole. But.. you weren't left out of the contribution box because you're black. It was because you're a foreigener. When I was in school , ex-yugos were asked and always denied. Blame them. someone's always watching me: I think you took your american mentality with you. They don't watch you, they watch everyone, as is their job. They watched you closer than other people? Did you ever ask yourself if you acted more suspicious because you expected to be filtered by skin tone? Oh no you were questioned about what you purchased before? Yeah there's a reason swiss people keep the receipt, this doesn't happen all the time but it happens, It happened to me. should I, too, scream racism and pretend it only happened because of the color of my skin? IT WAS BECAUSE I'M WHITE! I know you're used to that way of thinking in america, but this isn't america. In the end, yeah, I know the american spiel, oh no my skin color woe me. But europeans don't give a shit about the color of your skin, they give a shit about whether you're a local or not. as a black person in Switzerland, you won't get treated any better or worse than a (white) turk, untli you prove yourself. And if you're so caught up in your victim mentality that everything must be because you're black, you probably never escape it and may be better off in the US where they cater to such illusions.
@@mocherealestate3797 I'm saying it's not because she's black but because she's a foreigner and foreigners of any skin color have the same experience. it's not racism, at worst it's xenophobia, which is a different beast. The whole spiel of "oh it's because I'm black, we as black people, black black black" is all the rage in america or on the internet at large, I know, but it's mostly inconsequential in europe. We do not normally discriminate on racial basis like the americans, but on cultural/country basis. Which is why I drew the comparison to ex-yugoslavians several times. Those are white, you know. I'm neither defending nor attacking really, I just say she assumes the wrong reasons. And that trying to whack with the "it's because I'm black" stick in a place where that matters way less than being a foreigner of any color is tiring and annoying.
I would never have given the refuse bag to the post office clerk. Such situations are what i want people to learn from. I would have refused and asked him to call the police so that the bag could be scanned to prove if it was theirs. Some how, i feel like we have allowed people to take advantage of us. But I get you.
Wow,wow especially the incident with the gabbage bag, wow, that was really over the top. How uncivilised. Really you could have sued them. Really hopefully it doesn't happen again, but should it occur again film it and sue the person because that would be defamation. The attitude of so-called civilised folks, it's dispicable.
I lived in Germany from June 2021 to Oct 2022 and I experienced this as well. I've thought about trying my hand in Switzerland, but it sounds like it is all of Europe. I mean they still have colonies in Africa so what do we really expect? Thanks for sharing.
Yes it does. I wish we all would take the time to know a person before we judge and say and think stupid things. Im glad you found the video helpful and I hope it motives you break those boxes.
Just a question: Do you really believe Africans in Africa aren't as much racists with white people? (And lets generalize Africa, like you generalize Europe as if the countries in Europe weren't a total diversity. And let's generalize regions and individuals, too.) If I, a white person with mixed cultural backgrounds, emmigrate to let's say... Nigeria... Do you believe my start there would be easy and everyone would welcome me and offer me a job just because I have some degree in my native country? I doubt it.
I’m Swiss and lived in Bermuda for 3 years and had a Bermudian girlfriend. I totally feel you. Later I moved to Australia as a white person and had a lot of similar experiences like you. I don’t think it’s got anything to do with race or colour. It’s just for being a little different. ☮️
Don‘t worry. I‘m a Swiss Girl who dresses a bit unconventionally and same thing happens to me in Switzerland Shops. It‘ s more fear of the unknown than racism.
It's definately racism too. I know, you couldn't understand unless you are black or lived in our skin. You can be a well dressed white person & no one would be suspicious or "profile" you. Black pple are followed & profiled no matter how they dress. Even the famous Oprah Winfrey got profiled in Europe. Things are much better in England - the most diverse European country but they too still have some racial issues.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I love switzerland for holidays and would like to retire there so far it’s good but I am a bit worried as I applied to a school in switzerland they chose not to reply to my application despite several attempts.
I have had a similar experience with Uni and work. I dont really understand their thought process when it comes on to this "not responding" issue. In other cases (in Switzerland) I have had good communications and prompt responses so I really dont know.
Thank you for sharing your experiences my friend. there is so much to learn on this video. I am your new subscriber. Let's grow together my friend ❤️❤️❤️
Honestly, you shouldn't tolerate discrimination. If I was your husband(or you can try too), I would have want back to that post office, spoken with the manager and filed a complaint. If you speak Swiss German or high German, you should make a video in those either one those dialects. It's much better if you can address the majority group directly
yes but I live in Lausanne, I would tend to say, Swiss Germans and romanche people do not live the same way and react the same. I think we should consider( at least foreigners) another canton as another country, or else they should not talk about "Switzerland" but about the canton
@@parishehner9993 Oh I see. Interesting, I live in South Florida (which arguably can be considered a Latin American country within the US). My apologies for generalizing.
Thank you for the video. I'm very sorry but, as a Swiss person with a foreign background, I don't agree with what you say about work. The job market here is very difficult but this is not due to racism so much as the huge competition. People from all over the world want to work here. If you have the right skills the job is easily found, nobody cares about your skin colour.
@@User_Lilly7 For real? Do you know someone who despite having a degree, a master or particular skills cannot find a job for their skin color? I swear this is new to me.
I know all too well about those boxes 📦 smh. It’s so disheartening. The ignorance and arrogance sometimes that’s displayed towards people of color is overwhelming and simply foolish and sinful.
As a (former?) South African, I do get confronted/reminded occasionally for not being "like them" directly or usually indirectly. And less occasionally: that I'll never be, as there's no real place to "go back" to: I was already born outside of a country where I appear to be coming from anyway. As for walking with things without receipt in another shop, I do get reminded that people can wonder "how come". So far, I just see shopkeepers coming close as being eager to see things. I just say hello and say I'm looking around... As for jobs, it's not only in Switzerland where foreigners are overqualified for their jobs. I've recently left one country after 10 years, as I didn't feel it to be my place. Over there, people appeared uncaring and cold to anyone they didn't know, it hadn't necessarily to do with me in particular, I believe. Still, I don't believe it's a way how to live or treat someone. Swiss are also very reserved, I heard, so I don't know: often only become friends with people they grew up with... I still have to figure out if and how I'll cope with it. I can still leave if I want, one advantage of a nomadic lifestyle is that it's at least are more comfortable moving to more favourable places...
I’d say that no outsider has the right to criticise a nation that they chose to move to After all the people that live there never asked you to come in the first place
As Albert Einstein has said "to achieve peace is not by force is by understanding", When I was 8 years old my father decided to move family outside multicultural city of Toronto to then almost all white small town of Aurora. When I attended school most of the kids was racist to me but after two years many of them become my friends.
I’m not black but from Central Asia, before I use to live in Fribourg/Freiburg city of Switzerland my young brother was not intentionally let to enter to the college for 0.5 numbers. He is an intelligent guy top in mathematics, top in French, top in German and English. Finally he was told that you have to work after being 18 or to find an apprentice.. It was crystal clear that professors were racist and they wanted to keep immigrants in bellow level under Swiss people.. by the way, I left Fribourg and come to Geneva, I thought that Geneva is a multicultural city there will be less racism than Fribourg but the same is the case .. now I have been thinking to soon leave Switzerland and immigrate to somewhere else …! Sorry for my broken English

*Do you think Geneva less racist than Zurich I like the different language cultures in one country Swiss German French Italian and 0.8 percent speak Romansch*
Great question. I would not be so quick to say a place is "racist". I merely shared my experience of what is it like living here. Unfortunately some are not so nice for me. But lets not forget the first part of they video which highlights that the Swiss dont have a long history with Black people like they do in America. However they have built a perception of Black people (which is something we all do). The sad part is that the perceptions of us includes a lot of negatives. Yes, the language situation is pretty cool.
That one with the gabbage bag 😡😡😡😡 it’s a no no for me, if it were to be me on my way back with the receipt I will call the polizei because the post guy might be in an ambulance if I go back alone.

In the travel life of Danelle there was one time in the train when my son was still very little, we were traveling and you know how it can be with children on long distance travels. So I try to keep him in the wagen but he was restless and wanted out, there was this couple sitting at the other side, the man was very angry and muttering words even his wife tried to calm him but he wouldn’t stop, soon other passengers noticed and he still continued, untill he said a word that sparked me he said schwarz swine😡 that was when the Naija in new rose up everybody supported me. I tell you the man had to stop before he got to his destination because I was ready to beat him up and his wife was very angry at him.

Are they even racists to white foreign people?

Thanks for sharing your opinion. Point taken. It is a complex situation. I guess I am coping.
My mom just said this, also. It definitely is prejudice/racism based on her experiences.
Jamaicans are not use to racism so when we experience it, it does not bother us as much or it might miss.

Lisa Culton could you help me to come over Switzerland . I’m a medical student
@@chidijoseph6698 If you are are an EU person, it's not difficult to come to Switzerland, but for other people you probably need to get a job here.
The link for doctors wanting to work in Switzerland without a Diploma from EU/EFTA is here:

Lisa Culton good day , see I’m from Africa and I really want to finish my education ( my career ) as a medical doctor in Switzerland .
Really great video, I love the conversations you’ve influenced in the comments too, everyone is so respectful and understanding.
Great point
I love your video. My grandpa migrated to Switzerland over 75 years ago, and I've heard of many similar stories like you're expressing here
Thank you for sharing.

Great explanation of Swiss Society. I lived here 22 years now, same story.

The Swiss both in the Germanic and the French speaking areas .... I found to be, incredibly rude and very terse and uptight, and Racist ... . unless they know you personally at work, .... or they are dealing with you as a tourist. ...... Then they are, I presume, fairly nice.
But certainly not a good country to live in, for foreigners !!@@!@@

Thanks very much for your video. I'm an African living in Switzerland and I can relate on many levels. I especially love your idea of trying to understand the other party before jumping into conclusions (e.g they are racist etc). Many people (sometimes understandably) won't have that much patience and quickly label people without trying to understand where they come from. Personally I've had a very positive experience in Switzerland (French speaking canton), and I hope it stays that way.

Hey!
Thank you for watching and understanding my perspective.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I hope to travel there someday and thoughts of "how will I be treated if I go there?" is always in my mind.
Fasten your seatbelt - and hang on to your luggage. Good luck.
That was a very sincere expression. Very unfortunate. But very true. Thanks for sharing.
Great response.
Absolutely
It can also be cultural reasons. Some cultures raise people to automatically be suspicious of someone who looks foriegn or is a stranger.
@@sucram1018 so racism, so Sweden is culturally racist?

So sorry that you experience that. Racism is the peak of stupidity. Someone once said, "The colder the weather, the colder the people "😅.
This trip is a dub, I won't be going... thanks for ur insight. Very detailed and to the point.
Instead of being cold and mean...offer love not war...
you’re so delusional
This proves that she’s right. You keep defending and attacking her.
Very well expressed!
I would never have given the refuse bag to the post office clerk. Such situations are what i want people to learn from.
Tired of hearing the word skills when talking about jobs in Switzerland. It's so overrated and misused!
That's not true! There is racism in Jobs
@@User_Lilly7 For real? Do you know someone who despite having a degree, a master or particular skills cannot find a job for their skin color? I swear this is new to me.
As a Jamaican to a Jamaican let me tell you this it is not just Switzerland it is every were.
You're Jamaican. I am Jamaican and dream of living in Switzerland. I appreciate this video.
you are a very nice and strong women and i fully understand you 🙏🌹
Hi @happytraveler thank you. Im often told you are a steing woman but somethings I dont want to be. By the way, Love your channel
*I been to Zurich but plan to explore more*
Nice 😀. Let me know when you are around
Omg! I am so happy I found a Jamaican!!!
I know all too well about those boxes 📦 smh. It’s so disheartening. The ignorance and arrogance sometimes that’s displayed towards people of color is overwhelming and simply foolish and sinful.
It is disheartening and it will take much more to change the perception. I honestly dont think some people are aware of the impact they make.
This video is so helpful sis. Thanks for sharing. New friend here 🧡
I’d say that no outsider has the right to criticise a nation that they chose to move to
After all the people that live there never asked you to come in the first place
Is not easy to be a black in a white man's land
Period. Point blank.
As Albert Einstein has said "to achieve peace is not by force is by understanding",
When I was 8 years old my father decided to move family outside multicultural city of Toronto to then almost all white small town of Aurora. When I attended school most of the kids was racist to me but after two years many of them become my friends.
This is an excellent video and should be seen more, i will share!
Thank you so much Rob

Thanks dear for sharing ur experience in switzerland
I’m so sorry you and brother have had this experience. I have read of it 😞
Promise land. Glad to hear whites are still protecting their own somewhere on this satanic planet.
In Central Asia who has the best jobs? The Asians or the foreigners ?
To be an architect and work as a cleaner in a racist country is crazy. She needs counseling because there's something wrong with her too.
As a black American I’ve fantasized about the idea of living in Switzerland. I just think it’s a beautiful country and I want to go there. I think I want to visit and vacation here but never live forever.
Give up the fantasy. It's a great place to come on vacation...but you do NOT want to live here.
@@jasminealixandranorth i believe you😭
Thanks for your honesty, they better not be touching a stranger like a petting zoo or just touching your hands that is very rude and offensive
Nah I live in Geneva and nobody is racist here I’m Asian btw
Geneva is the best place in Swiss.
That one with the gabbage bag 😡😡😡😡 it’s a no no for me, if it were to be me on my way back with the receipt I will call the polizei because the post guy might be in an ambulance if I go back alone.
I am still so mad at this. I dont even use that post anymore 😡
In the travel life of Danelle everything you said about switzerland is true. As for me I try to respect their rules and regulations but if they over do things with me, I put them in their place oh my sister.
What are you saying to me oooo. It is crazy how people think they have the right to call someone a black pig. Makes me sick to my stomach. I must say though that there are sensible people here and they are not afraid to stand up for others. I liked that they didnt let him get away with it.
