Hi Sandi, I found your youtube vlogs I started at #1 and now I'm on #292. I love everything you do. Its calming for me and some times I have a little cry so keep doing what you love and I'll keep watching.
OMG Sandy! You have saved my grandson's lives today. They have been total brats this morning. I keep them now that daycare is closed, so my son and D-i-L can work from home. This morning they were so contrary, fighting, getting into things. So far they have both had time- outs in their rooms and STILL kept being obnoxious ( they are ages 2 and 5, with a 5-month- old baby sister). When I switched in UA-cam and said "the SheepLady is on" they came running and sat right down. My first 20 min. of peace this morning!! We love you!!!! This video was excellent with all the equipment. Quite a lot of conversation and language building skills. 🤣🤣🤣
I just love how the new mom already had her babies together. She looked at you like "I just need two more of those blue things". She was ready to get in her pen!
Hi Sandi! Been following you for about a year now and want you to know how much I admire and appreciate your work ethic, your pluck, good humor and your amazing skills! I’m almost 80, been a city gal all my life and now pretty much stuck in my lazy girl chair! You, Sandi, bring reality into my life and an enormous appreciation for the farm families and homesteaders across America and Canada who work so hard, every day, to put food on our tables! I am grateful for your hard work, for the joy and tears and the sacrifices you make! Thank you! 🇨🇦❤️🇺🇸
Perfect wording. I wouldn't have said it any better. I'm a country girl at heart who's been in city life way too long. Thank you Sandi for your compassion for what you do every day no matter what you're doing. I know it gets frustrating when things don't go as planned but you persevere. Thanks for taking the time to include all of us in your life. Hugs and ❤ from NW Minnesota 🇺🇸
Since finding your videos, I can’t stop watching. I’m going back as far as I can to be at the beginning. You are an inspiration to all women across North America ❤️

While watching your video today, my husband gets up all puzzled, looking out the window. I ask what's wrong? He says "I keep hearing this loud beeping sound", to which I answer "Sandi's cleaning her barn!"😂🤣
Good morning it is 2 30 please never lose hope anytime you are a wonderful person I was a dairy farmer so I know how we get discouraged with things can not wait for the next lambing starts
There is a small sheep farm about 15 mins from my house, which considering where I live is rare. I drive there every chance I get. They farmer that owns them is really nice and lets me pet them until my heart is content. They are just so peaceful and they don't have a care in the world. They just want food. 😂
@@kaileyg6793 I grew up with both sets of my grandparents being homesteaders.h spending Summers with them as my parents were in the military and we moved every 6 months to a year until I was 10 years old Within we're in Germany for almost four years before coming back to the States. I would do anything to be able to go back in time and spend it on the homesteads with my grandparents. When I was 13 years old we moved back to the States. Don’t have any land and am not physically able, so I learn all about those things through your channel and other homestead channels in the US that I watch.🙏🐑🐑🐏🐏
Coming from a "little" further north on that peninsula...I'm still constantly amazed at how many people south of a particular line are disdainful of the deep bedding method(although almost anything else is actually *outlawed* in parts of Europe for cruelty reasons) TRY keeping heat in any barn with a concrete floor and barely any bedding!
This is one of my favourite things to watch. I love 💓 how you make a huge job look so easy. We see in a few minutes what takes you hours and a lot of energy. Happy mother’s day for tomorrow Sandi. I hope you have a wonderful restful day. 💐🍻🍹🥂
Isnt it satisfying to see a clean barn. Its a lot of work for sure but so good when its done. Oh I broke a valve on our water line yesterday moving a round bale core to a pen.😐
I get all excited about cleaning things like barns and stalls. I should just hire myself out for that stuff because I LOVE the satisfaction of looking back at a nice clean barn ! ....I should have married a farmer....
I love that Bobcat of yours!!! OMG wouldn't I love one of those!! That first scoop was at least four wheelbarrow loads!! I can't imagine you having to clear your barns without it, thankfully I am not a commercial farmer otherwise I would definitely need one! You did a GREAT job with all the different angles you used. I appreciate that you took the time to do this, as I know it caused additional time to get the chore done! Thank you!
Sandi - Great video. Sorry you have to make repairs to the water line, but I guess that's all a part of it. Congrats on a great lambing this season. The three new ones are adorable. Blessings to you, Mark, and your family. Stay safe, and stay strong.
Yes, Micky may have shown his head, but I am not sure if you saw my comment about talking to your local SPCA... the one out here in NS, rents Barn Cats. They are vetted and spayed/neutered and they have lived in barns and do their job. You just need to feed/water and litter them....not too sure about the litter part...but they will help you out. Hugs from Halifax... wanted to post this early...

Dang, Sandi, you work so hard and just so talented in maneuvering that Bob Cat around!! Except for that one boo boo, but for all that you do, that’s not bad at all!! Good Job!!👌🏼👍🏼
Oh Sandi...I felt so bad for you doing all the work in your barn BY YOURSELF!! I encourage you to speak up, communicate & tell your family, that you could use one of them to assist you doing such things. You work so hard! I noticed the old house across the road near your weanling barn. It made me think it would be interesting to learn about the history of your farm. How long it's been in the family, how many farms have been added over the years? The history of the homes etc.
You should put your feeders on pallets so even if they're full you can just put them in the center isle with the forks and then put them back after you clean. Saves time cleaning them out!

Hey Sandi, hope you have a beautiful day! Just wanted to say you are awesome. I love seeing the work you do and I really appreciate the way you educate us about farming. Your not alone. LOL Wednesday as I was about head back to the farm to refill the nurse tank (for refilling the sprayer) my hubby said, 'Now be careful when you're backing. You don't want to jack-knife.' I did. . . . .immediately, and destroyed the tongue mounted ag-pump for the nurse tank. Cripes!!!!
Remember as a young fellow, cleaning out a sheep shed that had four and a half feet of sheep manure, with a fork and pickaxe . . . even now I wish I had of had that machine!
Just got a new job, so now I get to enjoy the sheep on my lunch break! Def makes lunch in my car a lot more fun!!. K guess back to work. I'll finish the rest at home comfy in my bed!!
Hey Sandi, I can appreciate your mouse problem. I haven't noticed what kind of pickup trucks you have there on the farm, but if you happen to have Fords, the insulation on the wiring in those trucks are vegetable oil based and the mice will chew right through them. I know this all too well from two highly expensive repairs to our truck. I know you are super busy this time of year (you're always busy) but the only thing that will keep the dang nice away is peppermint oil. We have a couple of round tins with magnets on the bottom of them and some old wool scraps inside we put drops of oil on about once a month. I also had problems with mice building nests in areas I didn't want them so I planted mint in those areas as well. I know mint goes crazy, but you may want to plant some around the sheep barn and where you store your hay. Cut it a couple times during the summer, let it go to seed in late summer/early fall. It's the only thing that works and it's cheap. I paid $20 US for a pint of peppermint oil from Amazon. I have prime so shipping is free. That pint for our truck alone will last several years.
Yes, I know what you mean. I had a rat chew my wiring which caused a fire in my truck on the way home from work. Luckily the fire was small and went out on it's own. Then I just had to get the wiring repaired.
First - that was a lot of work you got accomplished today. 2nd - you still thinking about moving the rams over to the other barn? 3rd - Congratulations on finishing this group of ewes and their lambs.... Looking forward to many more videos....

You need to get some cats!! They would take care of nice and birds!! But keep a liter box for them so they don't use the park as a liter box. They would pay for their feed and liter in grain savings to say nothing of the diseases mice carry.
@Addy Hodgson the disease I know it for cats is toxoplasmosis is that the problem? Sandy has mentioned previously that there is a disease caused by cats that sheep can get

Everytime I see the babies on top of the mama's I can hear my mama's voice in my head saying "get off my back" an expression she used often. However looking at the meaning for it on Google I don't think she meant it that way. She used it more when she thought we were fibbing to her or trying to get away with something... (lol) love your videoes
