    Thanks for making this unbiased review. I was deciding between Xencelabs and Wacom, and this makes it easy to decide.

    No joke, the other day I thought "Wish my pen had 3 buttons" Little did I know, there was a tablet with a 3 button pen.

      If you’re a Wacom customer now, these are basically the only true alternative IMO

    thank you for this review, I have been using Wacom too for years now, but I have been buying Wacom a lot for the past 2 years, and it's getting annoying, most of the time pen issues, then wire.. -_- when I saw that this has an extra pen, control and it really looks good I really want to try it. but not enough reviews. so thank you for this and I can see that you really work a lot XD so it's reliable that you have observed it well. thanks again and will give this a try :)

    Feeling confident with your review because of your experience with Wacom. However, was expecting you'd go into the difference in drawing experience or any glitches between this and wacom that you might have found.

    • @manylearn
      @manylearn  Рік тому

      Ah yeah, that's a good point. Drawing experience-wise, it's identical. As good as a wacom in every way.
      It's a way less glitchy experience overall than a wacom as their software has been going downhill for years. I've had zero issues with responsiveness or recognition.

    The crumbs and wear and tear adds legitimacy to the review.

      I try my best. By which I mean, I forgot to clean it.

    I know this video is a bit old, but I'm just researching xencelab tablets for my first tablet I'm looking to buy. I saw from another video that wacom pens actually work on xenselab tablets (though xenselab pens won't work on wacom tablets), so if you really miss that pan/scroll feature maybe you can try using one of your wacom pens with your xenselab tablet and see if that works for you?

    • @manylearn
      @manylearn  8 місяців тому

      The feature is in the software, not the pen itself. Xencelabs have since improved this anyway, it doesn’t work in quite the way Wacom do it, but I’ve found workarounds :)

      @@manylearn Ah, that's too bad. I'd only ever had experience playing with my sister's old wacom bamboo and with that one the pen seemed to have pan/scroll function before I'd even installed any software, but I guess the newer pens don't work that way. Glad you've found workarounds. My Xenselabs tablet should be arriving soon, and I really look forward to playing around with it.

    i bought one because of your video thanks for making it. this is pure curiosity do you mind me asking why you prefer to use a pen tablet compared to a screen tablet please?

    • @manylearn
      @manylearn  6 місяців тому

      I’ve had both over the years and every time I do something that isn’t just straight up drawing/sculpting I end up just using my other screen instead and a regular tablet. Times that by a few months and I just end up with a cintiq sitting there that I can’t be bothered to move my keyboard in order to use 😂
      But if you’re just doing drawing 90% of the time , they are better. I just use a tablet for everything unless I’m playing an FPS game.

      Wacom pro pens do work, but not as well as the Xencelabs pens.

    Great review! I appreciate a true user experience. Are there any on-screen customizable shortcuts like the radial menu that Wacom has? Thanks in advance for your help.

    • @manylearn
      @manylearn  10 місяців тому +1

      There’s no equivalent to the radial menu, no. But I imagine there’s plenty of apps that will do something similar. If you’re on windows I recommend AutoHotPie. It’s pretty good!
