- Do you remember anime cons? I do! But it's been a year and it's getting a bit fuzzy :A; so let's reminisce together! Back when you could see friends and be in crowded raves with hundreds of anonymous and infinitely sweaty people!

None of these vlogs were really good enough to make into individual vlogs, so I sort of abandoned them. I feel like I was taking conventions for granted FOR SURE while I was filming them- I was tired, I'd forget, everything was starting to feel so repetitive!! Now that I miss them I just wanted to share these little lost snippets with you all!

i WAS at the last katsu! it was fun. i was there with my sister, her husband, and so many of our good friends. i went to the game room but didn't play the taiko game (the line was too long). i ate japanese food and took pictures of my brother in law because he did NOT need to sign a release (i know the laws). i also called the front desk to ask how long the atrium rave would last to which the very kind woman on the phone said "we dont even know." what a fun katsu! i wonder if i saw you there!
It seems like it would be fun to hang out with you at a con, but no I don't think we've ever crossed paths!!!
It’s crazy how quickly things change. Originally I might have brushed off getting a “con cold,” but now I can’t even imagine being in such a large crowd without being anxious. As a positive I’m definitely excited to see how people incorporate masks into their cosplays and coords 🥰
Yes totally!! I agree, it's very creative and fun to see. The amount of con cruds i caught in my time.......makes me shudder!!! Cant imagine being at a stinky RAVE today!!!

We technically COULD have stayed but we didn't have income and couldn't pay the rent, and our landlord refused any conversation to compromise, so we kind of see the pandemic as forcing us to leave when we weren't planning on it at all :(
Thank you for the Anime convention hype! I really miss Anime conventions and I was supposed to vend at two of them with my husband, but then of course Covid came and screwed up everything.
Awww I'm so sorry you didn't get to vend. Whenever they're back, they'll be back with a vengeance and I bet sales will be great!!! lol Covid really screwed a lot up :CC

I really chose an awful time to want to get into cons huh
well it's not an easy time ;0; in my opinion, there's a lot of things changing which makes it harder for people that are used to how it's been for 7 or 8 years (me) and just as difficult to get into as before if you're brand new haha does that make sense??? I think if you want to get into it, it's as good a time as any depending on your personal health safety boundaries!!!
Aw I didn’t know you went to animeNYC. I went for one day since it’s in my home state and I had a horrible time since it was really stressful for me.
But I miss cons so much now. I wish I actually enjoyed that last time.
Awww I'm so so sorry to hear that, I remember Anime NYC was VERY stressful. I think thats why I didn't film so much. Smaller cons can be less overwhelming, I hope when cons come back you'll be able to have a better experience to stand out in your memory instead!!!

I really hope moving forward cons will ENCOURAGE HEAVILY for people to get their flu shots before coming to a con as well...
there have already been cases of weak immune system folks dying from attending conventions way before covid T_T
Yeah any time I discuss this with my friends it's always like "man, think about how sick we got from cons BEFORE covid...." it would just be a disaster for immuno-compromised people NOW. Really hope cons do things like provide masks and sanitizer too, and more actively discourage sick people from attending in general!!!!

I was at the last Katsu, I did say hi to you. It was so much fun :( I would never stay at the Gaylord i like to sleep as peacefully as possible
Ahhh thank you for your comment!!! Yeah I usually like to stay at the con hotel to be convenient but not the Gaylord anymore hahaha. When cons are seeming closer im definitely gonna make videos on getting ready!!!! I can't wait to redo everything

@@uglyplants I did have fun! I was into j fashion but really don't pay attention to famous people so I missed the fiasco thankfully lol. I really hope it can come back safely this year. I really miss leaving my house for fun and I was hoping to try vending at a con eventually.
