Hey brother. Nice video but can I recommend that you throw that oil filter wrench away and buy an oil filter socket cause that wrench is nothing but junk and will dent your oil filter!!! Great video and thanks again!!!
Going to do my first oil change I noticed I can not drive it up on ramps its to low in the front ,I found the jack point behind the front tire but can not locate the rear jack point and I think if I only jack it from the front high enough to get a ramp under the tire it might twist the frame.where did you put the jack in the rear can't tell from the video I see some rubber type plug .the book tells me nothing.and I can't jack from the front with all the plastic covers under the motor.
I got the oil from the dealership because it was the cheapest price, the filter was $2 higher than Walmart but that's OK because I only paid once to learn. I've been seeing on the forums that people are using the srt viper filter which I got from Amazon.
Hi , just wondered why you dont use this filter, SRT 05038041AA its the hi performance one, they also use it in the viper, also check out Autozone in your area for the oil, in my area they had it on clearance for $ 2.00 a quart, crazy,, i bought it all and had them ship it in from another location nearby , i got 48 total at that price..
no problem buddy check out my hellcat on my channel 2016 torrid red ,i would like to do some performance upgrades like you some day soon.i started with a 2016 challenger v6 then loved it so much i traded it in for a challenger hellcat i love mopar
I just bought a KYOSHO clear body Hellcat. Do you have any tips on the painting of this body? Also have gun metal grey paint to match my granite pearl paint on my SRT Hellcat.
Are they suppose to drain the oil cooler if it is taken to a dealership for maintenance, dose it state it on the owners manual or somerhing we can reference to incase they try to say it's not a requirement.
Thanx for the exc detailed video. I have a 2015 challenger hellcat 6 spd all stock. Car is a beast. Yours sounds awesome
Good video. Great choice in the color. I have the 2016 B-5 blue challenger Hellcat.

+Robert Steele Appreciate the advice Robert, thanks!!!
If the filter(which will be discarded after the change) gets a dent, who cares ??? The new filter doesn't need a wrench to be installed.
Thanks for this video, I'm about to do mine and wasn't too sure about how to drain the oil cooler but I'm good now.
+moises martinez No problem,glad I could help!!
moises martinez go to walmart & get an oil change
Forgot to ask you. How do you jack up the hellcat? My floor jack doesn't go low enough to get under the splitter.
+crabshack122 I have 2 jacks and i jack it up from the side and then support it with jackstands.
Nice informative vid Bro ; I was wondering if there is a way to refill the oil cooler before starting the engine or is that just me being too OCD ?
Nice video blue. Not owning a home or tools how can I be sure the dealer does this correctly?

+nitrokyosho You can jack it up using the rubber plug you mentioned.
big_bluehellcat16 oh ok thanks buddy
the whole unit seems to move forward and back easily on my 16 when I remove the debris covers .
Thanks for the video.

Nice video! I'm trying to purchase a hellcat, you had any issues with the engine or any mechanical problems?. I just subscribed!
Reynaldo Garcia No problems at all

+transam6t9 I was going to try that filter next and my local Pep Boys stocks the oil, thanks for stopping by and checking out my video!!
I just bought a Charger Hellcat and i was considering doing my own oil changes. How much time did it take you to change your's?
Why do some Hellcats have the Hellcat emblem embossed onto the oil pan?
nice video buddy
+nitrokyosho Thanks man, I appreciate it

I was thinking of getting those 56" race ready ramps but haven't heard if anyone's using them. They seem to get under a corvette.
+crabshack122 I need to get me a pair of those too. The set i have is only good for the back

Jorge Beltran Yes they are supposed to.
big_bluehellcat16 Thanks i just dropped it off, waiting for them to call me back to pick it up. On the previous one they said "i didn't mention it"
big_bluehellcat16 I got a 2016 6.4 scat pack and I believe it has a oil cooler...do I have to drain that or is it just for the hellcats?
@@turntablethoughts4232
Just the 6.2L Hellcats.
does your oilcooler. move back and forth easily?
+SUPERCHARGED LYSHOLM As far as the whole unit or when just changing the oil?
I put those mopar filters about b the same or less than a Fram
Big blue how much oil does your hellcat use between oil changes?
+busa e guerrero Hardly any, never had to add any oil between changes. Is yours losing alot between changes?
Use mobil 1 synthetic my friend best oil to date
Stanced G37 As fond as I am about Mobil 1, I use the SRT-recommended Pennzoil in my Charger.
I have a jeep srt8 and use amsoil signature series best oil I've ever used in my life
what?! Why would you remove the front belly plate? you don't need to do that to get to the oil plug or filter.
+Dale Meyer Its to drain the oil cooler
big_bluehellcat16 why? just for the first time? that's not normal oil change process is it?
Yes it is the normal oil change process. If you don't drain the oil cooler you will add too much oil and damage the engine.
my 17 srt doesn't say use penzoil
I rather drop my hellcat off..who got time for all this.. I work 12 hours a day at the railroad to pay for this boy lol
That's not how you pour oil.
look at side of filter box some are made in china
Only 6 quarts?...interesting....my 5.7 takes 7 quarts.
+M Marks Yeah i thought that was weird since all my other Hemis took 7
The 2015-16 take 6 quarts, the 2017 take 7 quarts. Not sure why.
Different years use different dipsticks. They used what ever was on sale.... Seriously
big_bluehellcat16 they all take 7qt, they just changed the dipstick. Lol
