I use 10w60 in all of my vehicles... I've had the best experiences with it. Even my Audi A6 3.0 TDI (diesel) gets this and has already done 435,000 km. Used this from the start. I also use it in the Iroc Camaro, 1.8t New Beetle, never had any problems. But I have to say that the engines here in Germany have to withstand a lot. I like to drive fast..., even 180 MPH in the Dodge or 160 in the Audi..., the oil is extremely demanding and hot. With 10w60 I have good reserves.
Turns out that Puralator BOSS is the best filter on the market.... the SRT filter is made by Wix and is exactly the Wix XP filter, which is pretty good. This guy has two videos, they tested 20 best and Puralator BOSS is #1 ua-cam.com/video/0ReYsM9OMuI/v-deo.htmlsi=GYq66SjFdjOtugBG
@@G8Code312 I am serious. Cold dry starts are quiet and smooth since switching to Amsoil. Just telling you what works for me. My Dodge Challenger sits for days sometimes weeks at a time.
Purolator BOSS, it's rated #1 overall, across all benchmark categories. If you have an oil cooler, then drain that as well. I put Fumoto valves on the pan and cooler for easy drain. I have videos on it. Definitely change every 3k miles and your engine will run like a champ! Use fuel system cleaner in your tank about 2 weeks before you change the oil.
This is such a joke trying to find the factory replacement filter for my 2021 charger r/t 5.7. Every site has a different number and says the number from the last site won’t fit. 4892339be. 04884899ab. 04884899ac.4892339be again. Lastly 5038041AA is said to be compatible but the higher quality srt version. This is crazy!
Go with this one, best filter in bench tests vs top 25 filters. This fits the 6.2L super charged engine PBL24651 Purolator BOSS (Highest Rated) - amzn.to/3VOS9bE
If you're talking about the purolator boss filter part number not matching the 6.2L super charged engine, they have a data quality issue due to human error. I had to call Purolator and confirm with their tech over the phone what the correct filter part number is. It was wrong on Amazon and their own website. LoL
What has happened is that there are a lot of automatic cars with the engines has an issues with their lines rubbing on the bigger filters. So they say to use the smaller filters. Mopar 399, mobil 1 M1-113a. If you have a manual transmission, you can use the bigger filters and not worry. Just double check and see if you have anything that would be rubbing.
It does fit, I put the white SRT filter on my 5.7 with Royal Purple . 7 quarts. 7 months now. Quiet motor no lifter noise. Car runs great!!
if you get a hellcat oil pump on there your motor will last forever when it comes to anything to do with oil.
What oil weight did you go with?
You make some very good video's, great details, and you speak so I can understand your words.
I went with a Wix XP oil filter and AMSoil Signature Series 0w40 for my Dodge Challenger Scat Pack.
Looks like a very good oil, but does it meet the factory API-SP specifications? I could not confirm that on their website.
Yeah I may go with this oil, in their blog they confirm it meets the spec blog.amsoil.com/gm-dexos-motor-oil-specifications/
I use the k&n Filter and Castrol Edge 10w60 Oil in my 2020 Scatpack…,,runs great … , and very good oil pressure when hot …

Can I run srt oil on a 5.7
Yes, it's the highest rated oil on the market.
Did you ever try to run this oil in a 5.7 hemi
Good evening everyone. Could you recommend a larger oil filter to use on my Hemi 4.7? I would like to know if this white STR would fit this engine.
I recommend the purolator boss check their part finder www.purolatornow.com/en/part-finder.html
what about k&n ?

So out of the SRT Oil Filter and the Purolator BOSS, which of the two would you recommend for a Dodge Challenger with mid to high mileage?

There are way better filter options out there compared to the OEM filters and for less cost!
