What a super concert! 83 years old vocalist Chris Farlowe proves again that there is no such thing too old to rock!
Such a cool voice, no surprise Mick Jagger once said that he's the best vocalist in Rock & Roll.
And same for the rest of the Colosseum's gladiators, just to see how each of them is playing like a show on itself. Uriah Heep's Mark Clarke played the Bass with so much passion like I can remember only the best Uriah Heep bassists were playing. @Gentle Giant's drummer Malcolm Mortimore was "on fire" and Clem Clempson is a guitar player with so much feel, such a great sound.
You can see how much they enjoy doing what they do. On some instrumental parts vocalist Chris was standing on the side of the stage clapping and enjoying the band like a fan.
They come from times when songs were much much longer than 3:30 minutes... endless songs that keep the listeners engaged and feeling the music with super musicianship. Ageless Colosseum of Blues, Rock and Prog.
I love these lads especially Farlowe doing his thing...freaking in his 80s! Clarke and Clempson...hitting those notes.
I love this one, so soulful. Great Chris and Band. xx
Nice ! ! !
Incredible Chris Farlowe 🎵👍🎵
Endlich trifft Chris einmal die korrekten Töne. Finaly Chris hits the correct tones.
Just SUPER!!!
A beautiful song lyrics by Pete Brown, beautiful arrangement by the great Jack Bruce.
I love rhis song so much!❤ three days ago I voted for it in the "SWR1- Hitparade"- Radio in Germany!👍🙏🎶
Would love to see you and this awesome group in Australia Chris. You are a legend and the whole performance of you and the group is gold.
It can’t be Colosseum without Jon Hiseman. Seriously guys, it was his creation. No original members remaining. What’s in a name ? Gets bookings I suppose.
What utter rubbish. Clem Clempson & Mark Clarke joined the band in 1970.
@@musaceae_modular Not utter rubbish really. The band was known in the early years as Jon Hiseman’s Colosseum and was formed by him and Dick Heckstall Smith in 1968. I just cannot ever see myself going to a gig by Colosseum without Hiseman being there. In the last year of Jon’s life, even HE deferred using the name Colosseum even though he was on stage with Clem Clemson and Mark Clarke and they called themselves JCM.
I stand by my original comment. To me, and anyone else i know who likes the band, see Chris, Clem & Mark as much members as Jon & Dick were.
Horrible, Leslie is turning in his grave
Who are you referring to? the song was written by Jack Bruce and there was never anyone called Leslie in the band.
@@musaceae_modular Leslie West from the band Mountain. At some point in time this Leslie played the song together with Jack Bruce.
Here’s the Mountain version ua-cam.com/video/0l_x0xH9fLM/v-deo.htmlsi=ajBOK_qrazaLtuLZ
