I have loved Colosseum since 71 when i first heard them - the music is beyond description, but what am think is so wonderful is that they are all playing off of each other and if you listened to each artist separately you would say wow! Then as a band - beyond words everything compliments everything else - listen to the Hamburg Blues band as well !!!!!

Ich hatte persönlich, seinerzeit nach "Colloseum Live" Anfang der 1970er Jahre (einem der 3 besten Live- Alben aller Zeiten), diese Gruppe praktisch nicht mehr auf dem Schirm. Außer daß ich mal ein Konzert von Colloseum II seinerzeit, irgendwann um 1980 herum (ich weiß nicht mehr genau, wann es war) in einer, zugegebenermaßen zweitklassigen Halle, in dem Provinzkaff Fritzlar in Nordhessen, besucht hatte. Das Konzert war ziemlich mäßig. Hiseman hatte irgendwie keine große Lust zu spielen. Und das Zusammenspiel mit dem damals völlig unbekannten Gitarristen Gary Moore war- naja...Und wenn ich jetzt "das" hier höre. Ich glaub`s ja nicht! Die alte, unglaubliche Qualität, ist zurück. Besser geht es nicht! They are still alive. 5 Sterne +++
It doesn't get any better than this. Some of the absolute finest musicians...ever. And The Voice (Chris F) is still going strong at 80. Thank God for all these people. Rest in peace Dick and Jon.
One of the GREAT unsung bands that sadly are virtually Unknown here in the states.They remain one of the finest Jazz/Rock fusion ensembles ever assembled
I love Fusion! I don't seem to remember this band? I wonder why?? But, this is MUSIC for relaxing to and learning from! Like Jazz and Blues had a baby!!
Wasn't Gary Moore in this band at one time? I am going to my record store tomorrow to see if I can get a copy of this record.I am Tele man all the way but there is something special about a Les Paul tone in the right hands.I wish I had gotten into this band sooner than now, guess I gotta lot of catching up to do.
Gary Moore was never in this band. He was in Jon Hiseman's subsequent band called Colosseum II. This band played a completely different genre of music than Colosseum 🙂

Very nice , new experience. I thought I knew something about blues/rock era 60-70´s. This is absolutely 10 points blues.!! Great arrangement & solos!

The band is good except for the vocalist they picked up last minute at the karaoke bar from a cruise ship for a cruise organized by a retirement home.
