Why is no one talking about how you don't need to wait for a specific day of the week to farm skill and weapon materials? Like it's just there no bs that ohh its monday so you can't farm this skill book hurr durr lmao.
Mint Pickers will never look for the positives but always mint pick whatever negatives/things that need to be fix so they can stroke their ego of them being superior as hoyoverse shills lol. Peak cinema tbh
These people talking like Genshin invented every single system it uses. Yes guys, Grnshin invented gaming, every other game that has leveling, ascension, world levels, resource grinding and all that is just copying genshin. How dare them
this is about the systems directly like the battlepass matching the exact same or the fact wishes match the exact same amounts... the union levels also have a big delay just like genshin rather than improving upon it much like the other systems and they copied Hoyos ToS and shit even before release so its not surprising this is what CHINESE COMPANIES DO because genshin also took from BOTW
People aren't referring to the concept of leveling or ascending, you can't deny wuwa just lifted it 1 for 1, 6 ascension tiers, level 90 max, world level caps, same type of ascension materials. I see nothing wrong with that tbh since I would rather they put more focus on other aspects but you also have to acknowledge that these parts are actually copied.
@@scrunchybergI see what you mean, I don't even think the hoyoverse model of battlepass is that good that I'd put it as is in my game, but I guess it's that thing, don't fix it if it ain't broken. About the Union level it really has been like that kinda of gradual increase of xp to level up in others for a while, so I don't think that's a hoyo thing. But I do hope that we get better rewards for milestones on WuWa cause the AR60 reward in genshin is ass.
@@scrunchyberg i think its because they wanted to make wuwa familiar for all the genshin players migrating. Wuwa is a direct competitor and if wuwa does good genshin is over
About the "illusion of choice", when we were at the village talking with Scar, i insisted on choosing the options to fight with him and did NOT expect that it would skip everything and jump to the battle 💀
I saw how the dialogue went when I tried to press him for answers and decided that I want to hear/see the quest, cuz it felt like I either will fight him right away, or something happens and he will leave
Exactly. He said many things that made me think he didn't play the game or he didn't notice it. One thing I like about WW is that there is actually a choice with different results. Some are spliced sentences but those are so few that they're not even worth mentioning.

4:05 "It just feels worse when you go back." Very true. When I went to genshin after a few days of echo farming in Wuwa, not being able to run up walls was like being forced to crawl after learning how to fly.
Especially being able to pseudo triple jump with ANY characters. I don't miss the time where I had to switch to my "Exploration" team every time I had to run around lol
Very true. When I come back to WuWa, i get forcefully reminded of how bad the quality is, dogshit nonexistent music, constant bugs, boring and uninspired world design, and all I can see are the copypaste hoyo systems everywhere. Only reason to play is the fun gameplay and pretty waifus. STEAMINGPILE OF DOGSHIT OVERALL, STOP GLAZING KUROS COCK. BAD IS BAD. freebies and dodging another companies game are a sign of panic and desperation 😬
WuWa also ruined genshin for me... I get incredibly bored of Genshin combat now and get upset that I can't perfect dodge to counterattack. Exploration in genshin IS A PAIN THE ASS BECAUSE CANT WALL RUN! I love how fresh WuWa gameplay feels. I probably won't pay attention to genshin until Natlan comes out for the story. I'll still log in for dailies, and I've saved for C6 Furina for soooo longgg
3:18 there's also nothing wrong with Genshin being similar to breath of the wild. Its like people forget the whole inspiration behind Genshin's vibes and criticize other games for being similar as well.
I agree completely, the thing is since people are coming negatively at wuwa for being a genshin copy, they forget to acknowledge that genshin is a copy as well, like if wuwa is bad for being a genshin copy, does that mean that genshin is bad for being a wuwa copy?, Is obviously not but people forget to be critical sometimes
I kinda think it's a little fine to be nitpicky to some extent, the 1st 10 hours should work as a hook for players, not an endurance test to eventually get rewarded for how awesome Wuwa really is later on.
@@zakim3O I agree with that, but the way he is doing it isnt fair imo, the stuff that most of us didnt really even catch on got a lot of exposition (some flaws in that context) against stuff that make most of the game and are done really well got the smallest part of the vid. Then calling it huge dissapointment overall. For me it just looks like he is downplaying the best and good in wuwa for flaws that legit most of us dont care. Again catching them and calling them out is awesome, they just dont deserve that much of attention
9:48 man saying its unacceptable to show skin in a game cause makes them seem like a cash grab, while commenting about gacha games. which are literally there to get you to spend money on characters.
I don’t agree with the skipping cutscenes means they don’t have confidence in their product because majority of story based games you can skip every cutscene. You can skip all cutscenes in final fantasy 7 rebirth, god of war etc it’s just a nice feature to have especially if you are replaying through the game with another account or already seen it from eternal sources. Most of his points are personal nitpicks while the character names, voice localization are pretty valid. I can even agree with music it’s kinda ehh forgettable to me and I got to union lvl 30.
Well some of us just want to progress as fast as possible. It's good despite what you think. That being said, I watched all of the story without skipping anything. But that's why a skip button is good. It's not lack of confidence. It's pure convenience. What if I want to make a new account, I don't want to listen to the story again.
I pulled for Jiyan’s weapon and was guaranteed to get it, I didn’t have to lose the 50/50 twice. Once I got the weapon I farmed a domain to get weapon level up materials. I didn’t have to spend $500 + 10 hours farming for minerals (Genshin doesn’t have weapon mineral domain). The daily activities are simple quick activities (npc quests are optional for dailies), etc. There are so many more huge improvements from Genshin that people don’t talk about enough.
faster energy/resin/waveplate regen, running doesnt deplete your stamina, dialogue skip button, more option for end game content and challenge, echo/artifact is not just a stat stick, no annoying floating baby
Also I hate it that Hoyo shills think that having skip button means they give up on story. That just give players choices. Genshin story was good like 1 out of 5 plot points.
@@ArsevensXand lets not forget Liyue and inazuma are still a disappointment and every single archon quest feels like a chore ill admit it sumeru and fontaine were amazing but it was so painful just running all over wit ur stam depleting every 2 secs

the whole video is just him nitpicking issues on 1.0(some more bs than others), but for the most part a majority of the people disappointed in the game is that it didnt live up to the expectations that they placed on it
I mean I agree with most of his issues, like the mc character is too stupid and boring especially with “the illusion of choice” hence no matter what I pick the the outcome will be the same, because of that the mc can’t be Voice-Acted to it makes the MC not really likable And you can literally see how good it becomes when other characters are having a conversation (Jyian and the claymore white hair’d general). Same thing for prices You need to pay atleast 200$ just to get 1 5star and that is nuts Most of his points are valid but the problem is, that most if not all gacha games do these so it isn’t really fair to judge WuWa as the only game that does that.
@@nonamenolife2635That first paragraph, isn't that the same thing in almost every gacha game? Or am I missing something? (English is not my first language)
I don't believe adding a skip as walk over for bad story is a fair take let's be frank even Kojimas games have skip options there is no reason there shouldn't be a skip button in games in general
Well not necessarily. Single player game might get away with it as a part of Dev's vision or some other reason they'll come up. But for a live service game, where people DO ask for a skip button - you prob need to add it
Persona games don't have a skip button, the first playthrough of God of War also doesn't have a skip button, and many other titles don't have a skip button either. I think games that don't have a skip button are very confident in the story they provide.
@@vii9501 you can fast forward In persona, god of war is all rendered in engine and confidence in story is not a good reason to not have a skip button let's not act like games with fidelity that render in engine and have something worth watching are not in the minority

🤣🤣 I don't mind, though, if the story is good. But I know the majority of people who play games are not doing it for the story; they play games because they want to play a game, not to watch cutscenes or read giga mucho dialogues. But yeah, I still think the reason is because they're confident with their story. And I'm 99.9% sure they will never add a skip button to the main story because it actually works for the majority of their players to force them to engage with the story. 👌
WuWa is not a disappointment, it's a piece of art, a beautiful game that is better than genshin impact! Especially once it improves as the years goes by!
Yeah... It's pretty old now. They're doing what they can with the animations, frameworks, and fancy camera tricks and effects they do have, but... the game's 4 years old at this point, and we'll have to wait for Genshin Impact 2 before anything major happens.
I love Diluc's character art BUT HATE his in game model that is expressionless and looks like a PNG. People clearly has rosetinted nostalgia glasses for Genshin.
@@Kirivera yeh thats the reason why they make zzz. I believe they probs wont change how the char expression look in cutscenes of HSR or GI. @@manofthepeople2165 Genshin only looks like it falls short now because of the advancements that other games have made after Genshin's release. At the time, Genshin was state of the art. There was nothing like it, for a mobile game.
@@hammeredch I think it's unrealistic to expect them to upgrade things from a framework and foundational level. From an engine level. It's already made. They're probably going to wait until the current main story arc is finished, like what they've done with Honkai Impact 3rd part 2. I have heard that the visuals were being improved for Natlan, though. But idk if they'll touch the rest of the game. Maybe they'll do something early now there's competition making their game look out of date.
idk if people have complained about this but, the camera for enemy lock is HORRIBLE especially when its a fast bosses. When tempes teleports or jump, the camera just locks at nothing and you cant even move it cuz its locked which is bad for mobile/tablet player since whenever you move the camera and running at the same time the fps will drop.
Even Red dead redemption 2 which is known for one of the best stories to exist in the video game industry, has a skip button... so i dont think its anything about having low confidence as a dev or whatever this asian is implying
People tend to look at things differently based on whatever media they have previously consumed. Played Red Dead Redemption 2 before, and the skip button helped a LOT with getting into the nitty gritty of the gameplay much faster than expected. It's just that majority of people are stuck with the idea that everything has to be black and white without having a proper sample size of things to refer off of. I play games pragmatically like DOOM and Trepang2. They both have skin-deep stories that can be summed up as "kill things". I do just that and my experience with the game was not tarnished in any way shape or form because the gameplay hits just right for me. But I do take the time to sit through stories that I think would be interesting, like the Aranara quest in Genshin or Chrono Ark's main plotline. The option is there for people to choose, and in no way it detracts from the experience whatsoever. If I could have a skip button in Genshin for majority of its content, I would press it within a heartbeat's time. The story may be good, but I just want to play a game. So please let me play the game. At the end of the day, it's preference. Though I would still like the option to be present.
>showing skin >cash grab game And it would work. Bro, if Nikke were to come out with a Snowbreak like game with their own character designs uncensored, I would happily drop every other game for it.
Nobody ask him whose fault is it that gacha games are majorly waifu centred. Let me drop a hint it’s NOT global and it’s NOT women. Guys like this literally send hate mails when a male banner drops and literally want more and more fan service but sure blame it on the company, not the CN/JP gacha culture. They will make what sells, what’s so hard to understand about that.
it is only there because they make resources more of a problem just like genshin... they couldve improved upon it where its basically already in the game but no
No shit, they couldve copied HSRs BP because its waay better but they copied genshin. Well kuro going down in couple of months I guess. Its ToF all over again. Go search google trends, sales. Its abysmal lmao
@@scrunchybergresources will always be a problems in these type of games, because if they don't do that, the players wouldn't stop playing till they satisfied and bored easily with how fast they progressed
It's not even similar, it's a one to one copy. Monetization is a one to one copy. All I want is WuWa to not copy Genshin one to one to a stupid UI. The argument saying "well it makes for smoother transition for players from genshin to play this game" is just dumb, you might as well say players in general don't know how to navigate an in-game menu.
A fantastic video. Comprehensive, provided examples of all of his issues, explained in depth about the issues, and had a distinct line between bias and objective problems.
Ngl when he started getting critical about the women clothing I was like yeah this isnt cooking, but he did follow up that weird take with some pretty fair points. So pretty good points besides the clothing thing because its a gacha they want the pretty females to be attractive. Calling it a disappointment is kind of a stretch tho maybe from this person's expectations
I really enjoyed Genshin Impact when I was a new player running through everything as my first Gacha ever. But, once I got to endgame that's when I realized the game had nothing to offer to keep me there. What I mean by that is, once endgame begins, it basically ends. You're stuck behind a resin lock that doesn't feel good because you run through so many materials leveling up characters/teams to be efficient and once my resin is depleted there's just nothing to do, which gets boring to me as I like to grind and MAXIMIZE myself. This is why I love Wuthering Waves. I've been playing the game for about 4 days I'm UL 37, I ran through all major content and right now I"m racing to UL 40. I was a bit worried at first by being gate-kept by Resin but Wuthering Waves Echo system just works better. It makes me think of a Warframe-ish grind. I can just kill endless mobs non-stop until I get the artifacts I desire which I'm totally fine with because as a content creator (sorry if this seems like self-promo) I can just relax, chat, and have SOMETHING to do rather than absolute nothing to do. My only complaints with WUWA which I'm sure they'll address and fix, is I just like to see more EXP gains to level Echo's resonators, etc. I didn't feel this burnt out on XP when I played Genshin until after I got done leveling up my like 50th character to lvl 70 while my main characters are all lvl 90. Granted, Genshin has been out much longer than Wuwa so I try not to compare to the two too much. All wuwa needs to be absolutely perfect in my eyes 1. Better co-op experience 2. Better loot economy 3. More synergies or at the bare minimum add enemy weaknesses (not that combat is hard for me, I'm rolling through. I just think its logical. We don't have elemental reactions but we have elements and enemies are only resistent to their element but have no weakness which is weird. ) 4. Better story telling 5. Hopefully in the future we get base-building something akin to a tea-pot. I liked grinding the open world to customize my house at Genshin. 6. rework echo set pieces or add entirely new sets and reduce the cost of sets by 1 (meaning full sets are 4/4 instead of 5/5) I'll stop here because my comment is too long. If you or anyone reads this! Thank you! I love you have a good day :) and happy wuwa farming
You have to run everything these idiots say through a translator if they're a Hoyo dick rider. It's pathetic, Hoyo has terrible rates and the reason Wuthering Waves rates aren't significantly better is because Genshin set the bar so fucking low. It's literally Hoyo's fault.
He talking about how they copied the same shit prices instead of making them cheaper considering they’re not as big of a game, media literacy not to good these days huh
This crying about wuwa is exhausting. Honestly, the only change that I personally would like to see, is ability to remember login info, so I do not have to retype my password every time, fix the camera autolock bs and make mobs in the tower more aggressive. It is very annoying when you knock them back and they just fall asleep... Other than those gripes, the game is a blast for me...
@@AnimeNeeds I do not see any option to remember login info. The only way I can login without retyping password is if I exit with alt f4. Normal shutdown of the game, from the menu always logs me out. What am I missing?
I think people are forgetting that concepts are not 100% original. Many people can come up with the same concept but what matters is: “Who did it better?” I think that’s how these gachas should be viewed. Every gacha has the same foundation in terms of gacha systems but the differences between them are their individuality as a series, how creative the execution of said concept was and how smooth the functionality of mechanics are. In my book, Kuro successfully demonstrated that. At launch I had no issues, but started seeing them later. I’m not too far with the main story of the game (just got to Union 14 lol) The hours I played getting there, the feel of WuWa is certainly not Genshin’s. Do I think the game should have pushed its identity more? Yes in terms of the UI, HUB screen etc. but I think WuWa made a footprint enough to contend. It can develop its identity as the story goes on. I do think folks are being too critical towards the game. Hell, they were too critical with HSR and look how it out performed Genshin. So, I have hopes for Kuro Games & WuWa’s future.
That's how new franchise game markets pop up and others copy them with their own spin. If a business model works, the competition jumps on it, setting up similar types of things. It's because people want what's popular and businesses want to minimize their risks. They copy successful models but need to add something unique to stay ahead. So, seeing similar franchise game markets is just how things go.😇
I had more fun playing this game than Genshin Impact. I can suggest it to everyone because the developers genuinely care about the opinions of players and our suggestions for how to make the game better. 🥰
his point at 15:05 i wholeheartedly agree with. mihoyo did a smart thing with having the first regions you go to in HSR and genshin the non-chinese ones. you start off in a familiar western/german styled mondstadt, and THEN go to liyue, and then in HSR you do the spacestation, belobog, and THEN the xianzhou. in wuwa we westerners are bombarded with an unfamiliar culture and hard to pronounce names.
my only complaint with the game atm is how many waveplates that domains and bosses use compared to genshin given atm in genshin, bosses are 40 each and domains are 20 each, with a max capacity of 160 and using fragile resin gives back 60 but in WuWa, bosses are 60 each and domains are 40 each, with a max capacity of 240, and the crystal solvent gives back 60 as well. and with the next genshin patch they are increasing the resin cap to 200 so you can get 5 bosses done with full resin when WuWa will still be at 4, I feel like the domains and bosses should be a bit cheaper that way it can be even. Ik its a small nit pick but its something that bugs me a bit.
genshins resin cap increase is just more so to play the game less so you can use the new launcher they have and play the other games and it doesnt increase resin regeneration
That's because you can farm echos for free. It's probably less energy in the long run to min max a character in wuwa if you take into account weeks if not months of artifact grinding.
I don't think Genshin increasing their cap to 200 changes much, seeing that the regen rate is still one every 8 minutes compared to WuWa's one every 6 minutes. So you still have the same daily amount of stamina. And with the WuWa devs announcing that they will also introduce a waveplate (stamina) storage system, if it's anything like HSR, then it's going to be more useful than increasing the cap by 20.
its about the systems copied directly which in itself isnt a bad thing like breath of the wild for example didnt have battlepass wishes and so on while wuwa copies a lot of the values to the same exact amounts from genshin so that is how
@@scrunchybergyeah that’s what happens with massive games in top genres. Games prioritizing f2p models with cosmetics and battle passes like fortnite and similar pioneers had their systems directly ripped and put into other games. Not everything needs to be changed if it performs perfectly for the intended purpose. The content of the game is what matters: not the micro transactions.
I appreciate tectone's honesty actually. he's right and he hit the nails in most of his points. Like a lot of people said, game was released too early, many stupid issues and errors, all the important world quests and side quests without voice lines, localisation errors, story not polished and stupid dialogue choices. These kinds of people would nitpick thousands of other aspects of the game even if it was perfect from day1. When such little details such as camera angles in dialogues get brought up you just know the person just wants drama
TBF… its the small things that actually impact player retention for the first few hours. He is not wrong. If the game wants to retain as many players as it can it needs to be inviting in everything it does. And you can not argue with fuck the casuals coz TOF died because the casuals left… hard core fans cannot sustain a gacha game. They need the casuals and if the casuals do not stay the game itself would die. RN the game is not inviting to play and not a very good experience for casual players. Many of my casual friends who played the game stopped just after a few hours or days because they got fed up with how the little things in the game were designed and how convoluted the story was for them to get into… i told them it would get good after reaching certain points in the game but they all just gave up and said all their interest is gone and they would rather do something else. One of their biggest gripes was the VA, the unimaginable amount of terms that they were bombarded with just a few minutes in the game, and the fact that the region is china based and they had a difficult time understanding if what they were reading was in game terminology or name of a person or a place since all of the names are foreign for non chinese players.

WuWa at least is trying to have some "edge" to it, some grit.

the clock and skipping system DEFINITELY needs to be improved. it’s not the worst, but.. could be a lot better. and with skips, one gacha game I play I think has a GREAT skip system, is afk journey. for one, if you miss something or get lost, you CAN press a button to review all the dialogue from that interaction. (I don’t think you can view past dialogue once the interaction is over tho but yeah) and when you skip, it has a pop up that’s like “are you sure you want to skip?” AND gives you a brief explanation of what happens in that dialogue, so you can still get an idea for what’s going on without having to sit through alot of boring dialogue and won’t be completely lost if/when you decide not to skip in future parts (it also does the same for the unvoiced side quests lol) I would love if wuwa did something similar ngl. would also be good if they had like an “archive” thing where you can read/listen to past dialogue
This guy has a lot of valid points followed by total L takes that seem to contradict the points he made previously. Also the characters showing skin are typically intentional to showcase the resonator tattoo
>this mf legit saw the stamina gauge when grabing to a wall and went "oh it draws inspiration from a certain game" like yea bro just like Genshin got that and TONS other "inspirations" from a certain game >damn just I M A G I N E a PB having all of its actually usefull rewards each 5/10 levels and in a gacha game the most "usefull" reward you can get aside form free gear/characters being STAMINA >bro is pro anti-revealing clothing in the gacha video game, yea,Genshin brainwashed mfs real good all he said of negative about the game is either a ultra-personal issue or legit criticism that has already been provided by everyone else who didn't turned their brains off when playing the game, there is enough issues but to say the game is a DISSAPOINTMENT is absolutely insane
I was enjoying the English VA(especially March 2.0 and scar) but when I got to the grand library and heard rover monolgue I was like "oh yuhp, now I know where the complaints come from"
I like this guy's takes. He's pointing out a lot of little things I looked over like camera angles. But the fact that those things is enough to make a man dance in frustration on their seat is wild to me. Sure he made really good points but most of them are not game breaking and just annoyance or preferences. And now Kuros are also fixing most of the issues and addressed it. I think he really needs a patience therapy class.
The hypocrisy at the end is insane. First he says its a Genshin copy then he talks about how the game should have Genshin's features cause it's qualities r "bad"? This is seriously another level of hypocrisy, i swear.
I think his point about characters showing too much skin is that if everybody is half naked you can't really 1up that by releasing another half naked character. Whereas if you have characters in more formal outfits (like Yuanwu) whenever you release another character with a "sexier" outfit the difference is more pronounced. It's all about taste in the end like Tectone said but I kinda get it.
In dialogue scenes, they have the character's iris shift around even when idle. It's such a tiny detail and I was mesmerised by it. Also the tacet waves on each resonator moves differently to one another and it's noted in their field reports. I found that very interesting! However, I do agree that the pacing of the story (that I have experienced so far) can definitely be improved but I would say the same for Genshin's. They both follow a similar vein of meeting the initial villain and vaguely getting to know them despite knowing they're the villain and then having a phased fight because they turned out! To be a villain! I think in terms of names, I think it's fine for them to use Chinese names. I would say the difference is that globally, China is still amassing their soft power (in terms of cultural significance), while places like Japan have established theirs for over a decade now. I would definitely agree that the problem comes with using characters with similar pronunciation (as Tectone mentioned with Jiyan, Jingxian, and Jinhsi). It would be the similar to complaining about three characters' names being James, Janine, and Josephine. I do also dislike the lack of a customisable wheel for other options in the settings, since I would often use that to access my teams in Genshin and Starrail, this is rather minor overall but it does affect my flow when I am playing. I think that adding the extra movement of grappling was very cool though, so it kind of balances out for me. I do think having the levitator as its own thing is a bit unnecessary though simply because everything you're even near something that you can levitate, it automatically pops up anyways. I also agree that overall, it does feel like Kuro Games is adopting a similar pattern to Mihoyo, but slightly more generous. This is especially in comparison to Punishing Gray Raven which I recall having good enough rates to almost guarantee a copy of every limited character. Another thing that I do like is that you don't have to wait for specific days to get character or weapon ascension materials. I remember having to plan out all my characters in the early days of Genshin because of it and skipping a day felt devastating (which, while it was a bit dramatic of me, I was very fixated on the game). I also like that you can get echoes just by running around and murdering things so if you do want to grind and have no waveplates, you can do that and still progress your account, albeit slower. I think saying the skip button is an excuse for poor story telling is not it though. There are going to be players that don't want to listen to the story no matter how good it is and are playing simply for the combat. I would hope for some kind of replayable feature for the story in the future because one of the main things that tends to keep me from progressing is putting off the story until I feel like I want to witness it. The skip feature is in so many games with some semblance of gacha in it, it really is not that huge of an ask.
Your restraint when he was upset about the battlepass and said "Any dev should learn from the things they done well, repeat them, and study the things they didn't and improve upon them." and we all said simultaniously, "THEY DID!" Maybe he hadn't hyped you up enough but just wow. I thought this was a joke skit from him but that line hung on me the whole video.
I was constantly thinking "wow, this is almost 1-to-1 with Genshin" but also thinking "what would I have had them do instead?" It's definitely a little shocking how much feels like a copy-paste, but there's also a lot that's unique with the echoes and more intense combat. I think it's a case of needing a few more patches to grow its own identity and then judge it.
wuwa already falling off on google trends and it looks like it did nothing to genshin worldwide in its filler phase this is the biggest spike wuwa will ever reach and its about to get so much lower

I'm Union 38 fresh today and I've put like 150+ hours in the game and did everything. I've bought the BP and the welkin thing equivalent. And in all my experience I can tell you the things that desperately need fixing. These things are in order: targeting. The targeting in this game is horrendous. You will be fighting and your char will Russian roulette mobs while fighting, next is the echo exp. The tacet fields are too expensive for so little rewards. I have many on set elemental echos from world farming 3 cost daily and I can't even afford to lvl them up due to lack of tubes. Yangyang and female MC voices completely lack emotion. It's like they are AI reading a script. They are awful. This one is funny, but if you're out of stamina and you even hit a rock or ledge your char just spazzes out lol. What I would also love to see is a sound/animation for changing char. .As it is right now as soon as you change chars you swap instantaneously and it's bland. It could be better. A lot of these things are incredibly easy to fix and not at all things that make the game bad other than the tacet rewards. What does ruin the game is double Dreamless and the slow down time exploit. Which I have zero interest in using.
Names are not an issue. I actually like that they are sticking to their guns and the region alongside their names. People need to learn how to read, it is a useful skill you know. When the New Federation drops, we will get more European names.

First impressions are the most important. Wuwa is like those series that are pretty mediocre for the first 10 episodes or so, but get good in the 2nd half of the season. Not everyone will have the patience to sit through 10 bad episodes to get to the good part. The game is not bad, but it definitely needed a few more months before releasing, and it's clear that they rushed the release, so it doesn't happen after ZZZ's or around the same time.

What I think he means is genshin is the only open world game and has a patent to it so no one else can make open world games anymore. Because the premise and setting of WuWa is NOTHING like Genshin. The only thing similar is that they are both open world. One is set in alternate world where technology isn’t a thing. One is set in post apocalyptic world where there is a lot of advanced tech and remnants of high tech destroyed civilisation. There’s even glass buildings and offices.

But other than that and nitpicking, his take is on point
Adding a skip button to all stories after release opens the possibility for them to not improve the story, and that's a valid concern
@@evankuee5143brainrot take
People tend to look at things differently based on whatever media they have previously consumed.
Rdr2 is a complete game. WuWa is live service

All wuwa needs to be absolutely perfect in my eyes
1. Better co-op experience
2. Better loot economy
3. More synergies or at the bare minimum add enemy weaknesses (not that combat is hard for me, I'm rolling through. I just think its logical. We don't have elemental reactions but we have elements and enemies are only resistent to their element but have no weakness which is weird. )
4. Better story telling
5. Hopefully in the future we get base-building something akin to a tea-pot. I liked grinding the open world to customize my house at Genshin.
6. rework echo set pieces or add entirely new sets and reduce the cost of sets by 1 (meaning full sets are 4/4 instead of 5/5)
I'll stop here because my comment is too long. If you or anyone reads this! Thank you! I love you have a good day :) and happy wuwa farming

@@nimmsen72The moment I came back to Genshin, it felt so different bro, I can't play Genshin anymore 😂
his point at 15:05 i wholeheartedly agree with. mihoyo did a smart thing with having the first regions you go to in HSR and genshin the non-chinese ones. you start off in a familiar western/german styled mondstadt, and THEN go to liyue, and then in HSR you do the spacestation, belobog, and THEN the xianzhou. in wuwa we westerners are bombarded with an unfamiliar culture and hard to pronounce names.
my only complaint with the game atm is how many waveplates that domains and bosses use compared to genshin
given atm in genshin, bosses are 40 each and domains are 20 each, with a max capacity of 160 and using fragile resin gives back 60
but in WuWa, bosses are 60 each and domains are 40 each, with a max capacity of 240, and the crystal solvent gives back 60 as well.
and with the next genshin patch they are increasing the resin cap to 200 so you can get 5 bosses done with full resin when WuWa will still be at 4,
I feel like the domains and bosses should be a bit cheaper that way it can be even.
@@scrunchyberg yea fair, but its gonna make genshin a little bit more resin efficient despite still being grindy af
@@commissar6860 thats fair a bit
I don't think Genshin increasing their cap to 200 changes much, seeing that the regen rate is still one every 8 minutes compared to WuWa's one every 6 minutes. So you still have the same daily amount of stamina. And with the WuWa devs announcing that they will also introduce a waveplate (stamina) storage system, if it's anything like HSR, then it's going to be more useful than increasing the cap by 20.
how do people say they are copying Genshin when Genshin itself has already copied another game?
1:1 copy
its about the systems copied directly which in itself isnt a bad thing like breath of the wild for example didnt have battlepass wishes and so on while wuwa copies a lot of the values to the same exact amounts from genshin so that is how
My problem with wuthering waves isn’t that it copied genshin, but that it copied its shittiest parts of genshin including the monetization and grind
@@scrunchybergyeah that’s what happens with massive games in top genres.
RN the game is not inviting to play and not a very good experience for casual players. the clock and skipping system DEFINITELY needs to be improved. it’s not the worst, but.. could be a lot better.
and with skips, one gacha game I play I think has a GREAT skip system, is afk journey.
for one, if you miss something or get lost, you CAN press a button to review all the dialogue from that interaction. (I don’t think you can view past dialogue once the interaction is over tho but yeah)
and when you skip, it has a pop up that’s like “are you sure you want to skip?” AND gives you a brief explanation of what happens in that dialogue, so you can still get an idea for what’s going on without having to sit through alot of boring dialogue and won’t be completely lost if/when you decide not to skip in future parts (it also does the same for the unvoiced side quests lol)
I would love if wuwa did something similar ngl. would also be good if they had like an “archive” thing where you can read/listen to past dialogue

One of the things i find interesting with the outfits is that they are designed to show off their Resonance marks
He's that CN player we've been hearing about
In dialogue scenes, they have the character's iris shift around even when idle.
It’s like saying your asian kid is a disappointment because they are good at math like all the other asian kids 😂

13.22 the backtalking stuff, the NPC is talking to you, you are the Rover, it is called immersing yourself
The funniest part about the battle pass comparison is that Wuwa actually gives you the premium currency right off the bat and genshin is the opposite
I thought battle pass isn't new.. I've been buying lots from my previous MMORPG since 2017 usually with added skin to attract players
Names are not an issue. I actually like that they are sticking to their guns and the region alongside their names. People need to learn how to read, it is a useful skill you know. When the New Federation drops, we will get more European names.
I still dont understand why they had to steal dvalin flight. It was bad and unnecessary in genshin and its even worse in wuwa. Make me feel like kuro dont know what they are doing
@@terrormansakata9626there's this story quest or a side mission where we turn into an echo and chase another echo like 100% similar to dvalin even the shooting at it part and the thing is its 70% worse compared to the already bad dvalin chasing
@@terrormansakata9626 yeah but I was like wtf is this even when it was for 30 seconds it was more funny to me cuz it seemed irrelevant to add smth like that in
@@terrormansakata9626 it was like another spit into players face on top of all other issues, "ha-ha we are going to copy genshin even more!"
@terrormansakata9626 it wasn't that bad but it was a direct copy of the dvalin fight and u didn't even need to do anything other than just holding the button down for 30 seconds. Noones talking about it cuz its not a big deal we are just mentioning it was funny how even the dvalin fight was copied
It seemed more like a direct jab at the dvalin fight cuz there's no way in hell they spent so much time making that 30 second thing not knowing about the dvalin fight
I think 100 dollar for 40 pulls nowadays is pretty standard if not cheap. Especially this game have a lower pity requirement.
Is this sarcasm ? Hope it is bruh
You can buy a console with that money or save up for a PC gaming
@@DOGEELLL no, that is gacha game standard. 100 dollar for 3-5 multis
And this just shows how Hoyo getting to the top has normalised this absolutely outrageous pricing structure
@@fogheta the real difference is the rate, those games are 3-5% instead of whatever hoyo gives
@@Zeroyue622and for what ? A bunch of characters/skins that dont do anything
I dont get the point of spending that much rather go to a drug dealer or escort bruh but thats how casini gambling work you either get fucked or you get fucked
should've seen the video of when Mark from Invincible mets the Authors/Creators of the show and goes on to say something along the lines of "sometimes the writes get lazy not wanting to write moving mouths so we usually put something in front of the character, or have the camera behind their head or pan out to a above the sky while the main person talking is just talking"
"It's too genshin like" then every racing game is too asphalt like..... Their the same genre what do these people except
Some people are just brainded
Yeah every time I hear that phrase, it's like a Brainrot thinking
What I think he means is genshin is the only open world game and has a patent to it so no one else can make open world games anymore. Because the premise and setting of WuWa is NOTHING like Genshin. The only thing similar is that they are both open world. One is set in alternate world where technology isn’t a thing. One is set in post apocalyptic world where there is a lot of advanced tech and remnants of high tech destroyed civilisation. There’s even glass buildings and offices.
Every battle royale is same and copy eachother too
Adding up, i think the reason of the skip button mostly added in most of the bad voice acting scene is the temporary solution of it while they are changing the voice lines with newer one. Cuz they know it may take a while
"I don't even like genshin very much myself" 🤓
and proceed saying like "It's too Genshin like". I was like "If you don't have enough experience with Genshin how can you say that it's Genshin like???"
Lol are you mad that he hate gambling casino?? You ppl are something else bruh
@@DOGEELLL Maybe just say it instead of getting into small details just to hate on a game.
People have reason to play the game but he hates it just because. I agree with some of his point but the rest of them are just pure hate to me.
@@HGKEntertainmenthe said at the end its a gacha so he doesnt like it
That reason alone is more than enough to dislike a game since the game is built around the gamblkng progression rng
His other points were just to make the video longer bruh i know stupid but thats how it works
Camera angles for the dialogue is a fair point. It doesn't bother me about the NPCs but it would be nice and add more life to the converstaion if you could see them talk instead of their back. MCs though need to be shown most of the time.
Bro played 10 hours only and has an opinion about a game, actually insane
10 hours is a good amount to get some first impressions and WuWa doesn't make that good of a first impression.
Blud spider man 2s whole game was ten hours, hell blade 2 was like 5 hours, 10 hours is more than enough to judge a game bruh
@@wraithhenot a live service one though.
Single player, sure.
There's even really succesful stuff like Warframe, when you start the story around 40 hours in. Then the basic tutorial ends around 60 hours. And depending on how you played - you'll finally get to the actual game (main part of it, there's also higher stuff and tutorials XD) and reach character creation screen at 80-100 hours in mark
Not as drastic, but PoE falls under this category.
Many MMORPG too.
Huh, actually pretty much all big live service games (that aren't pvp) take a shit ton of time to bloom and show their true colors/value
@@hermitgreenn Gotta disagree. It's first impression was great to me.
@@hermitgreenn but in the end they are fix it, just because youre screwed up it doesnt mean you dont have time to fix it lol ...
Most of his (not Tectone) statements are subjective, especially in the pros and cons of WuWa. When explained the pros, He picked the very obvious pros of WuWa and not at least trying to find the other pros of the game. Meanwhile when he explained the cons, He was like "I need to find every sh*t that I don't like about this game". He said that his statements based on his early gameplay of the game, but I bet all of his early playtime of the game is just trying to search for all of the bad side of the game.
Jesus Christ, that guy had some of the worst takes. Should the female characters wear a turtle neck sweater and baggy pants? WTF.
Also, Genshin has the worst mouth movement ever.
Ikr, wuwa's characters are pretty tame in terms of outfit/fanservice in a gacha game. Dude would lose his mind when he sees some of nikke or azur lane's character outfits lmao.
@@FadedMaple07 Yes, exactly. lol. It's like he's never played anything beyond GI before.
8:43 I am playing Wuthering Waves on 2 different server. And I can tell u on 1st encounter to the bad guys (red one, no spoiler) i can progress story as the bad guy told me or i can just fight and teach him a lesson. 2 very different dialogues happend there. And i didn't expected that in a game where we can't redo the dialogues. Very very surprised!!
