On Clapham's first deep shot from Ford to Yeo - I wonder why Yeo bids high rather than simply running on and catching this disc at chest height. He has the defender boxed out, and I'm sure he's a capable reader of the disc who knows the disc will fade in its flight to his advantage. I see this a lot in high level games and wonder why its such a common missed offensive opportunity

We were a bit confused at the time as well, it's a pretty rare mistake from Yeo

I think the disc is moving quite fast at the end of it's path there. It's an outside-in throw fading away and the defender has a potential line to get it high. He'd have to go from slow (boxing out to prevent defensive bid) to fast (catching up to the disc) very quickly, with the risk of the defender getting it if he goes too soon, and it being out of reach if he goes too late, so he just goes for a slightly later interception of the line. Defender keeps the pressure on which makes it a tough decision/execution even though Yeo normally catches these easily - it's an uncharacteristic mistake but pressure from a bad throw and good D.
