Have fun with it, really great space empire building game. Tutorial probably wont make it onto UA-cam until Monday due to edit time but play through will be up by Thursday. Thanks for watching.
04:04 seems like a game that at least should appear with some (high?) rating at your bgg collection (if even if you don’t own it. Only as a unique design that you respect enough to make its score a little bit higher, if anyone who said the same things that you just did - will actually do that humble gesture)
I'll keep this a little brief since I do plan on reviewing the expansion. The expansion has quite a few variants built into it. The main version is the 5 turn version that uses the 6 factions. While it is a 5 turn game, each faction starts with 19 credits where they have to buy exactly 5 tech advances, no advance can cost more than 13 credits and no change is given. That version of the rules while it does play less overall turns it still feels great because it basically circumvents the normal 1st-2nd turn of the standard game which is generally spent colonizing a 2nd/3rd planet and buying advances. So the overall feel of the game is fairly similar when you speak of "an epic overall game play experience". The game doesn't play really any quicker or longer though because while the 1st-2nd turn is basically skipped, those turns are generally fairly quick anyways and the expansion adds in the Combat cards for the players and the Resistance. Factor in that you have more strategy options thanks to the new technologies and I feel confident in saying it doesn't really change the game length. I also might add we do use the advanced movement option when playing with 4 or more and the expansion so that does save a little bit of time. I really like the 5 rounds but I occasionally choose to play the long game still whenever I have time for it. Thanks for watching!
Off The Shelf Board Game Reviews Awesome, thanks for your detailed reply. As far as teaching the game to newbies, is it best to start with the base game maybe including the 'drive movement' changes from the exp'?
That is a perfect way to teach new players. I personally don't think adding in the factions is too terrible either but it WILL add to the AP as players get to grips with being overwhelmed with choices.
How nice of you to make this! I am really looking forward to learning this game. I plan to bring it out with my game group the upcoming month... :)

14:15 seems like games (both base and expansion) that worth your rating in your bgg collection
I am horrible about updating my BGG collection =(

I am terrible about updating my BGG profile! So bad that I have an expansion rated but not the base game. Good catch and thanks for watching!
Hey there, great vids! The expansion plays fewer rounds does it not? What are your thoughts on that?

will you be doing a video on each of the expansions?
I am a backer on the newest expansion Kickstarter. Once delivery and game time happens I will do a video for them.
