What is the maximum speed of the cops in "The President's Run" ? - Yes
I was laughing my head off seeing all those civilian cars and cops go flying, lol!
And also, about the crashing sound effect that is heard when you hit something (the one with the distinctive glass shatter heard immediately after impact), there's PLENTY that I can tell you about it. This particular sound effect was used in numerous movies (usually car chase movies) from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. Since 2010, I have been going from movie to movie looking for this sound byte. The following is a list of ALL the titles that I found it in so far:
1. Batman (1966)(Heard in the Season 1 episode "Batman Makes The Scenes").

12. 99 and 44/100% Dead (1974)(heard in trailer at least, I don't know if it's in the movie itself or not)

Of these 41 titles, 22 of them are 20th Century Fox titles. I also have evidence pointing to 2 sound effects guys:
1. Theodore Soderberg (1923-2012)
2. Don J. Bassman (1927-1993)
While the list that I have here may be a huge one, I'm still convinced that there's more titles that this sound byte could be heard in. If anyone knows of any titles that the sound was heard in but is NOT on the list, PLEASE leave the titles in the replies to my comment here. Thank you very much!

And better yet, I love the crashing sound from Driver so much that not only have I adopted it for my own sound effects library, but I have utilized it in my UA-cam videos as early as 2008. If you check out some of my Forza Racing Season videos, you can hear the sound ALWAYS being used for crashing!
So that sound effect is free to use, because it's in allot of other media than this game?
I never really paid attention to it and thought the sound was made specifically for this game.
@@EazyMichael It might be from a paid sound library too. I don't know a lot about how it works but I'm pretty sure a lot of media gets sound effects from buying a sound effect library. Doom is a good example, sometimes you'll hear a sound effect from the game used elsewhere because almost all of Doom's sound effects were from the same library. It was kind of mind blowing to learn this for the first time because I also assumed every game or film had sound effects custom made for it, but it seems like that's actually not very common, at least for older/cheaper games

I alwats loved how sinple but effective speedometer was in driver. Slowly Flashing red made it feel faster same with high pitched engine sounds.

The PC versión don't have car crashs sounds in san francisco... a steering wheel works very well in this game included the FFB, saludos!

They either spot you for hitting the civilian car and if not they just keep driving.
