I attended once of Coach B's Olympic Weightlifting seminars, and I will tell you... We did all the workouts with a PVC pipe, and by the end of the day, I could barely move my shoulders. The man knows what he is talking about.
The video keeps pausing at about 3:43 which shows the athlete in slo-mo and the error Coach Burgener is pointing out. I don't know whether the producer did that in editing or if it is youtube failing. Anyone else having the problem? It's making it difficult to see the athlete's error and learn therefrom. Thanks.
I have a hard time with the "pull the body down while the bar goes up" part. Anybody got some more video suggestions for slow-mo or more on this part from Burgener?
One of the basic principles of physical exercise is: respect your limits. Why didn't he use a lighter weight instead of risking to get injury with a weight like that?
yeah sure but i think it's 25lbs plate so it means he has 95lbs to lift just to learn a basic movement, imo 15lbs or 20lbs would have been much easier for him to learn the lesson and much quicker, but maybe he was fine with this weight we'll never know :P
it is light weight! but then again he cant do this with a pvc pipe! he needs a weight heavy enough to work on his speed under the bar! he knows how to snatch better now than he ever has!
Two different methods. Talk to Jon North. Hang Out with him (I have) and he would probably tell you that the catapult method and triple extension both are achieving similar components through slight variations and differences of cues.
Yes let's talk about a single joint movement where technique is minuscule on a video concerning a multi-joint, synergistic, olympic movement. Real smart there, bud.

how is that an indicator of him knowing what he is talking about
@@lando2519 You're right. Let's comment on 5 year old UA-cam posts.

Hes definitely practicing technique not tryna max idk why people cant see that lol
Thats not 53 kilo, than 15+15 LB plus bar! 30lb is bout 14 kilos! So that is 26 kilos snatch!
"Yut!"
There is no "shrug" in a snatch. It's all hip contact. Watch Jon North and he'll teach you the real way
Yes there is. Look up Snatch Extensions.

It's techinique training show off..
The "jump and shrug" is crap.
It's a cue. It's not a literal translation of what is happening. Coach B is more knowledgeable than anyone who will comment here...
If you think a 53 kilo snatch is heavy, you should probably re-evaluate your training.
Lol the guys like 60 ofc hes not going to be in shape like someone who's 25

its only 40kg in total my nana can snatch that clearly read 10 kg at the 1:55 point
I curl that much and he's having problems
Curls! Thats cute :)
