The beds are so sweet...I can imagine two boys having a pillow fight, then pretending to be asleep when someone comes up to see why there's so much laughter and racket. LOL

Being a Mama definitely helped you to nail the looks of the rumpled beds! Absolutely spot on for looking like the boys just jumped out of bed without making them. That patchwork patterned fabric would be a real sanity saver, I've seen some teeny quilts people have made where they actually sewed all those tiny squares together. I think I would go a bit doolally trying to do that, AND keep all the seams straight!

Thank you Nessie! I am very pleased with the look of the Room! Yes I have Seen those REAL patchwork quilt and i actually made one.....when i was about 10yrs. old! i would be loopy trying to make one in this season of my life! In the famous words of my grandson when he was learning to talk and i Quote" I''m NOT"!!! OLOLOOL!!!

I hope that the boys have little treasure boxes hidden underneath their beds for the little things boys collect. And a jar with a caterpillar on a branch in it also. That fabric looks so much like patchwork.

THANK YOU KAREN! I Totally Love the idea of the Box in the bed! If youy look closely one of the beds has an open metal box on it! That's where th cards and magnifying glass came from! I may need to add a small box for the younger boy! Although the idea of the jar with an insect it great! I have such personal abhorrence to bugs and insects......it's hard for me to bring EVEN the idea of them into my Dollhouse world. I don't even want a "fly swatter" in my dollhouse because i wish they did not exist! LOLOLOLOL!!!

The beds look so sweet! Good to know I'm not the only one who sometimes prefers the wrong side of fabric. Once my mother actually made a blouse with the wrong side out! I like the way you fold your contour sheets, much simpler than other ways I've tried, and they still look great! So we learn as we go, must remember not to use that type of thinner with latex gloves!😛

Hello, the beds look great, the water and glue method for fabrics works brilliant for things like bedding and curtains, I like the rumpled covers it makes the scene more realistic as if they've just got out of them. Although my 4 boy's beds made those two look rather tidy 😂, my daughters bed was not quite as untidy, the messiness changed around as they hit their mid teens by then they were tidier than her 😂😂, they're all grown up now with messy kids beds of their own to deal with 😊
I'm looking forward to your next video, Best wishes from Yorkshire, England 🇬🇧 😊

Those boys! Especially the younger little rascal …he made a quick exit from his bed - undoubtedly it was NOT a school day - LOL! He’s probably like me when in was young - always up early on Saturday morning in anticipation of great adventures (on our bikes, in our playhouse and especially, in my case, to play with my dollhouse!)!
Oh, how “the whole summer” seemed it would be an endless paradise of time to play, play, play! Because working in our family’s big garden always took time away from my “dollhouse time,” I learned how to weed quickly, pick fast and get it done asap! LOL! Those were some good times!
I love the look of both beds! I am going to be making a crib blanket/cover this soon - I got inspired by an item for sale on eBay! There is a listing that has a darling crib blanket that I think may have originally been made as a small Xmas decoration in counted cross-stitch. I have a couple of those I made in earlier years with a cross-stitched images on it/them - a teddy bear, etc. So I’m going to hand stitch the little cross-stitched teddy bear picture (done on aida cloth) to the center of little piece of fabric and then attach lace all around the fabric it as “trim” - and it should fit the crib just like a pre-made handmade baby blanket - at least I hope so! We shall see! 🤞🏼
Thanks for sharing your “dissolving glove experience” … good to know! Yikes! I can file that under “Everything I Needed to Know About Dollhouse Miniatures Making From Miss Gretchen!” 😯. Can’t wait to see what’s coming next in “the rascal’s” room! Many thanks, Kathleen ❤️

I''ll be getting some this week! I have a whole pile of small children and baby things on my TO DO list! I can imagine how cute your crib blanket is! YES, childhood summers were wonderful! But I never liked hot weather I always looke dforward to the Fall /winter season. Especially the CHRISTMAS VACATION and Winter Break! Those were what i considered PRIME DOLLHOUSING DAYS! Because when it was warm they made us go outside to play! In the cold months it was acceptable for me to be inside and i could play uninterrupted, from the "you need some sunlight and fresh air" declaration! LOLOLOLOL! “If it’ll make you more comfortable I’ll go ahead and cover it “😂😂. Like someone’s commenting that the underside of this bed makes them uncomfortable. There are so many times I've used the back of fabric or tapestry because the back was prettier or more subdued than the front. I've also tea or coffee stained fabric to dull and age it. That's what is so awesome about making your own mini's!! You can make them however you want them, because there isn't a 'wrong' way to do it... just different and different is so much better than "matchy matchy, same same"!! I sent you the email with the pics of the experiment I was telling you about for ruffling and rouching blankets. To imagine brothers sharing a room😂😂 something I know oh so well!! Thankfully, the fact that mine made it to adulthood with only minor injuries and a minimum of broken bones, is a testament to my phenomenal parenting skills 🤔🤣 but more so the grace and mercy of the Lord!❤😁LBVS

Thank you Lisa! I Truly need to try the Spray Starch method! I have heard it works really well and doesn't get hard. Old habits die hard sometimes! LOLOLOL! thank you for the suggestion!
