They keep changing the app interface, I can’t find the settings I used to run manually. I have four of these and I’m going to get rid of them next spring.
Rachio app has been down for at least a full day. I’m getting rid of this ASAP. You have to stand there and run each zone individually. There is no way to run all zones at once. With Rachio service being down this is a no go in TX.
Well don't know of a residential sprinkler controller that will open all zones at once! Do you have a 80 PSI 3 inch water main? sprinkler circuits "zones" are designed to work one at a time so you can still brush your teeth and have the toilet fill!
@@AviewFromUnder - Was not looking to open all of them at same time, but sequentially as you could on an older programmable model. It's a pain in the backside manually run each zone when server goes down. Some sort of software update that would allow a user to select a few zones or all zones, hit run and it would cycle through process.
@@KeywordManagement Ok copy that got you now. I to have frustrations with this thing. I don't wish to use it as smart as it wants to be. Tonight I'm trying to remember how I had a simple dumb schedule that I could start. We might be in the same boat! Good luck.
@@AviewFromUnder - When sprinkler guy recommended it, it sounded cool because I could run it from an app on my phone...nobody ever tells you what will happen when the server the application runs on goes down or has some other sort of issue. Makes me think my old programmable was the better option. I'm a nerd and seeing things break in the cloud makes me realize the more we connect our homes / services to the cloud we just might be surprised when we can't access or control something as simple as a sprinkler.
