Beautiful song from the "king" Elvis. Even if it was copied in Hindi, the magic of Rafi makes it refreshing. One of my favourite songs, I don't know how many times I sang this song to the entertainment of my family and friends.
Song is copied but the skills of Rafiji is not under question.. Great singers.. Rafi, kishore, mukesh .. etc... Music composers are at fault, not singers.
I love the way that Western music and Indian music blend so effortlessly. I can't be certain that Indian music includes Western influences very often, but when Western music experiments with Indian traditions, and gives it space to breathe, it never fails to add something important; and over a wide variety of styles too...rock, Jazz, Hippie, Country, Blues, HipHop, Jam....well, you get the idea.
Truly, Rafi Sb is incredible, the sweetness, clarity, rendition, range n above all, the versatility with a range of mesmerising tones no one anywhere across the globe has been found to exhibit, and even more incredible is the dimension of his heavenly voice not to thin out in tone or texture when singing the high notes , in fact, the resonance n sweetness would get more mystical, a quality none has surpassed! Hats off to the Shahanshah of playback singing!
Yes yes yes i noted Muhammad Rafi ikut elvis presley punya lagu starting point dia Ada persamaan introduction nya, kon hey jo sape no mere aya Hindustan song n my favourite song 70'an very nice song.
Both Elvis and Rafi are legends in their own way. Marguerita was made in 1963. Kaun hai jo song made in 1968. So who copied from whom? It is obvious SJ duo stole the tune from the original English one. Analysing thus will lead only to unnecessary squabbles and verbal altercation in which each side will try to bring down the other singer, causing insults to be heaped on both the singing greats. So just, let us sit back and enjoy the God-given voices of these 2 geniuses.

Elvis was a western singer with a emotional voice but limited in range in comparison although he was also a very talented and beautiful singer and a performer with star value. Mohd. Rafi's voice is considered to be the voice of God ! So pure and melodious. Rafi did not copy the style or anything, he was classically trained and had his own style. It is the composer and music director's fault, not Rafi's. I'm a fan of both and both are not comparable.

SHANKAR-JAIKISHAN improvised the tune and made it even sweeter and evergreen with Rafi's voice. Shammi Kapoor was supposed to be the star but ended up with Rajendra kumar.
Oh just wait please .. let me check my pulse. Really you Sir Elvis Presley...Oh boy you were the most amazing and original. Also our music maestros Shankar Jaikishan used it very well. Nice Orchestra. I love both versions.
@Nen stupidity occurs when you see garbage next to you. What Rafi is that everyone knows, he didn't became popular because he never wanted to be and at erstwhile era there wasn't digital media.
@Nen Rafi ji is God no doubt. I just wish he and many other gems of India got a fair opportunity to express their talent in songs which were their own and nobody else's. Perhaps I'm wrong but somehow I feel that the artist is the one to get cheated by the money mafias in such cases of plagiarism
Under the canopy of the sky stretching to the horizon , the song of eternal love prevails through the sound voice of the great Md. Rafi sahab ! Composer S-J also are turbulent !
Read the comments of various music lover but, no body talks about the melody of Signing God Rafi sb. His voice is of God. Rafi sb can't be compared with any body in any era.
This tune is very special because it’s been sung by three living instruments first elvis presley king of pop of hollywood, then mohammad rafi the king of pop of bollywood and then the legendary incomparably beautiful king of pop of afghanistan ahmad zahir! All sung in as equally beautiful forms sharing the same chorus but different moods and different philosophy. Let’s focus on how beautiful it gets in whichever form, and not compare people.
This was a very minor number for Elvis but the Rafi version is epic! Both are great, but let’s face it as great as Rafi was Elvis had a much more beautiful voice!
Wow, would have loved Elvis and Rafi Saab doing a duet on this...and to be fair...the background music arrangements on the Hindi version and the Antara is very different...somehow the Hindi version sounds more heartfelt...ironically!
"Nakal mein Bhi akaal honi chahiye" - doesn't matter if this song is copied. It is well copied. And no one can question the singing prowess of the great Rafi. It is on par with Elvis Presley in every aspect.
@@buzztube1738 OG as in? Original doesn't need to be better. That's like saying if Rafi Sahab sings "tum hi ho" (Hypothetically us he was alive, young and sound) , then it would not be as good as the Arijit version. LOL.
Both Elvis and Rafi were masters of what they did. Such talent comes maybe once in a lifetime and we are lucky that they were born at a time when recording of voice was possible. There maybe few before them who might have been greats but sadly their recordings are not there hence they have faded into obscurity.
None can compare Hindi tunes with any other tunes of the world. God created Hindi just for the sake of melody which is mostly abscent in other languages. Hindi is the supreme language for melody and rules among almost 2 billion people from South Asia to all the way North Africa and beyond and Rafi is the greatest voice the world ever had.
Both are different.. while elvis voice and style is robust and masculine and full of testosterone.. rafis voice is boyish and slight nasal tone which may sound emasculatr sometimes.. but it has its own charm i guess if you are into feminine voices then rafi is person to go to
Afterall you cant impress a lady with estrogen .. you need to have testeosterone to impress a woman which is the meaning of the song.. i think estrogen would turn off women.. how often we used to increase our base in our voice to impress our crush.. elvis uses those biological thoughts in the song too.. that is quite impressive.. i am not sure if elvis was considering to sound masculine but he sound more masculine in this song to impress the lady
Rafi Saab gives voice to different heroes in their style, and voice was the guarantees of films success.one song rafi Saab sang in which 16times he used the word gustakhee maf in16style
Elvis maybe famous among western world he was good singer, but when it comes in versatility Rafi has an edge over Elvis and the beautiful voice of Mohammad Rafi is superb.
The only edge Elvis had over Rafi was that Elvis began as a live performer... blessed with the looks of an angel he strummed the guitar, gyrated, danced and sang with his four piece band -Nothing much is known about Elvis' accompanying musicians except for John Black... (Paul McCartney loves Elvis's bassist John Black's style of playing so much that he owns the double base that Mr. Black played on all of Elvis' early songs) - Rafi on the other hand was a studio performer - and almost all of Rafi's songs had massive fillings by classical instrumentalists who were maestros in their own right.... Shiv Kumar Sharma's Santoor, Hariprasad's flute, Kartik Kumar's sitar, Louis Banks' piano and several other instrumentalists wove in and out of a Rafi song embellishing it with flashes of their brilliance.... Rafi and Elvis are musicians of different cadres... they cannot be compared...but as far as the quality of voice goes.... Man o man... I love them both and I am sure both will remain eternal....
I have grown up in India and my dad had all the latest LP'S of the various pop , jazz ,country etc. singers (English) I also used to watch a lot of Indian movies and listen to Indian songs . I honestly enjoyed both and it is very difficult to say which is better .I am settled in Australia and still listen to Indian songs as well as English...so I really do not understand what these only Rafi lovers or Elvis lovers are arguing about .....Life would be so boring if we only heard either one of these singers...all singers have their own style of singing and I enjoy all of them so people must stop bullshitting as to who is the better singer and enjoy the variety of talent on display .
Nothing much is known? That is like me saying 'very little is known about Rafi'! Elvis' band was legendary. While Elvis may have been molded into some swingin', singin' movie star, he had a righteous beginning. And good or bad - he always had excellent musicians behind him! (while he hogged the spotlight and took all the credit). And it was producer Sam Phillips that put Elvis together with Scotty Moore, Bill Black, and DJ Fontana. And as a bonus - he got the Jordanaires, as singers! He used them exclusively for the next 14 years!
Subodh Maratt first of all indians have no idea who king elvis was I am American I don't give a fuck to this unpopular guy remember elvis is worshiped in usa king of rock and roll never forgotten he copy and he sucks
both are great singers, not fair to compare. The Rafi song has post recording pitch enhancement, I'll post the true sound version if you are interested!
Mohd. Rafi's most beautiful songs have been mostly pictured on Rajendra Kumar another super personality he always attributed his movies successes to all the movie crew and the greatest to Rafi ji's singing!
Rajendra Kumar is not even 2% of Rafi. Take your words back please. Without Rafi, he could not even have become a star. The same applies to Shammi. No less than, 100 heroes have sung Rafi's songs. Rafi belongs to nobody, but everybody belongs to Rafi.
Syn Hope we all get sucked into debating apples vs oranges. It's a pity that we must let our egos dictate our thoughts to "who is better" rather than appreciating everyone's uniqueness. No one belongs to anyone. Let us just enjoy what goodness we have in front of us in the form of great Indian film music and the great musicians, composers and singers and let it end there.

Hindi song has broader range and thus is more difficult. Rafi sahab as usual has made it sound so easy and light.
hindi songs are shir. shitty lyrics
@@sohelbashar6925 what the f**k probably you are talking about modern hindi sings not of golden era of bollywood
Thanks for uploading.
no one can beat them, nor can anyone compare them, they are legends of their own genre.
Well well well nobody can beat Rafi that is for sure straight away touches heart
John Lennon himself said that before Elvis, there was nothing.
But this is plagarism level 100
I support this i'm a huge beatles fan❤
If there's voice of GOD then it's none other than Mohammed Rafi.
@@mitboricha9 pretty sure he was referring to rafi when said god bro...
I share his first name 😇🙏
Rafi saab ki ruhaani aawaaz ...no comparison..
Huh? He had good voice but don't far fetch it. It's pedantic next to Caruso, Gigli or Pavarotti. But all well in respective genres.
@@dawood2u and you share a blasphemous last name dear.😅
There were many artists who were better than him, like Michael, Freddie and Elvis.
Rafi Sahab best 👍👍👍
i feel personally md rafi's voice is
melodious
Would have loved to know what Rafi thought of Elvis!! Both legends.
Elvis presley you are great..
Rafi sahab lots of love and respect for you
Both songs are equally well composed
I FORGET EVERYTHING ..AFTER HEARING MOHD. RAFI SIR....it seems to compare stars with MOON...one n only Rafi sir....
god is great who created this two legendary artist Elvis n Rafi ji 😍😍😍🤗🤗🤗😆😆😆😘😘😘🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
Don't break heads by criticising, simply enjoy the songs.
Both songs has aatma. Soul. Planet earth remembers both Elvis and Rafi ji till nature and love exists.
No comparison...... Rafi sahab is always Great.
Beyond all the controversial comment,,,,, I just want to say thanks for sharing this,,,, I enjoyed them both very much......!
just listen " O PRIYA ...." with different WAYS ..shows .WHY RAFI & INDIAN CLASSICAL MUSIC IS GREATER
indian greater in bobs and vegans. Can't even do moon landing properly.
shit countries like india will be always behind first world countries
@@sohelbashar6925 shut your mouth fuckistan.. 🤣🤣
Elvis was the real deal bro
@@sohelbashar6925 But your pakistan is eve less.I do not mean to disrespect a country but you crossed the limit.
Elvis was an endlessly gifted human being.
This was a very minor number for Elvis but the Rafi version is epic! Both are great, but let’s face it as great as Rafi was Elvis had a much more beautiful voice!
Wow, would have loved Elvis and Rafi Saab doing a duet on this...and to be fair...the background music arrangements on the Hindi version and the Antara is very different...somehow the Hindi version sounds more heartfelt...ironically!
did not know that kaun hai jo sapno was a copy of an Elvis song
Not copy just similarities...
Inspired M
never knew
It can also be vice versa. Try thinking from a different perspective
All indian songs which have become famous are a copy of some western song.
Fact is both are Legend's 🙏🏻.
"Nakal mein Bhi akaal honi chahiye" - doesn't matter if this song is copied. It is well copied. And no one can question the singing prowess of the great Rafi. It is on par with Elvis Presley in every aspect.
Maine apne teacher ko bhi yahi kaha tha...
LOL Rafi sahab is better.
@@mdbahrozbaburali No man Elvis is OG
You absolutely right hindi songs are matchless
Rafi is Ultimately Rafi. No matter who comes in front of him Rafi can surpass any of them.
Both are different.. while elvis voice and style is robust and masculine and full of testosterone.. rafis voice is boyish and slight nasal tone which may sound emasculatr sometimes.. but it has its own charm i guess if you are into feminine voices then rafi is person to go to
My own choice is masculine voice for male sung songs.. iwould prefer a female singer if i want a feminine song
I love this song I dint know it wz a copy too
Mohammad Rafi.. magical voice
Rafi Saab gives voice to different heroes in their style, and voice was the guarantees of films success.one song rafi Saab sang in which 16times he used the word gustakhee maf in16style
Yes, Elvis did sing to the tune and a wonderful one ... but Rafi took that tune to a whole new level
Power of a song and a singer goes beyond boundaries. The emotions are the same whether it is East or West. Our world is one big family.
The legend......Mohd. Rafi
Ursula Andres is the girl in the Elvis clip, she acted in the first James Bond movie Dr No with Sean Connery.
East or West Mohd.Rafi is the best.
Elvis maybe famous among western world he was good singer, but when it comes in versatility Rafi has an edge over Elvis and the beautiful voice of Mohammad Rafi is superb.
True Rafi was SJs main singer, infact rafi was many music directors main singer. I miss Rafi a lot..
je connais cette chanson merci Khaled for sharing :) great video thanks akramairtel!!
+Subodh Maratt Very well said. So very true :-)
Michael Edwards
yes, agree :-)
Naqal ke liye bhi Aqal ki zuroorat hoti hai!

Do you know ?
"Elvis Presley also served his nation(USA) as Soilder."
Long live Elvis. In peace and where ever you wanted to be.
both are great singers, not fair to compare. The Rafi song has post recording pitch enhancement, I'll post the true sound version if you are interested!
very true! Rafi sahib's version has post recording enhancement! at -1 it sounds even better!!
Sanjay Singh please upload
Sanjay Singh Pardon for my lack of knowledge. but what does pitch enhancement means? and can you plz upload original version ?
Rafi Saab the best - beautiful voice very versatile singer.
Rajendra Kumar and Shammi Kapoor.
