I legit broke into tears when they played this scene at the end of Elvis (2022). He was literally on the verge of death, but you wouldn’t have known because of his voice. It’s as if this performance was his final farewell to the world and no one knew.

It’s amazing how we idolize these people, not knowing the true pain, as well as demons that they are fighting inside. We all want to be rich and famous, but truly don’t understand the hard work, hardship and loses they suffer along the way. Yes, I assume it’s an interesting, exciting and good life at times. But I believe this man lived the last days of his life, very lonely and very very sad!! God bless him for the amazing talent and all the years of hard work put into mastering that talent. Truly one of a kind!!

These guys don't lead disciplined lives so often die unnaturally. Look how Elvis met his end in such a strange manner. Due to years of tranquilizers+anti depressants and cholesterol intake, he suffered severe chronic constipation and when pain in stomach became unbearable, the unfortunate man forcefully attempted to defecate, his abdominal aorta was compressed, shutting down his heart."

I absolutely agree with you. The way he looked up and smiled at someone to the right of him. The way he looked at and smiled was like I hope I'm doing it good enough for everyone he liked making people happy. RIP Elvis Presley. I have a uncle named after you. And back in 1974 trough 1979. I was 5 years old in 74 10 years old in 79. And in those few years I pretty much lived with my grandmother. And she would be listening to the radio and a Elvis Presley song would come over the radio I remember she would say hey come here boy let me teach you how to dance. I would mimic Elvis moves and get my pelvis moving I thought I was Elvis Presley. 💯 RIP Elvis Presley. You helped a small scared to death little boy get trough a very very hard time in my life. 💯🙏😥

@@christopherone1 I agree, I'm not saying its a good thing, he pushed himself too hard and used drugs and food to cope and escape, but regardless, he remained a great performer. And I simply disagree about his voice here, but that's a matter of opinion and rather subjective and I assume people here understand how opinions work but sometimes I'm wrong. i’m 16 years old and i was never really a big fan of Elvis’s music, although i do know a lot about him. After coming back from the cinema from watching the new Elvis movie last night, ive been listening to his music non stop. Non stop. This movie made me realise so much about the influence he had on music and made me appreciate his music a lot more. I’m so appreciative of this movie i was in shock with how much i enjoyed it. the cut at the end from Austin Butler to real life Elvis got me so emotional it was heartbreaking and i cried like an absolute baby. im so so glad i watched this movie. Agreed. I’m 20, but I always grew up with Elvis’s music, my dad was always infatuated by him and what he stood for. I took him to see the film today as a late Father’s Day present and we both were sobbing our eyes out.
I’m so glad this generation gets to experience his music, as well as the soundtrack which adds such a good modern twist.
He really was such an icon, more than I think we can ever fathom in our generation.

I wrote presentations and essay after essay on him throughout my years in school. I feel deeply connected to his journey through my mother. My mother passed away in 2012, we played Elvis and Jimmy Reed at her funeral. My Mom had the rhythm, she had the jazz and she expressed her love of music daily with my sister and I. I am Thankful that my mother shared her love of music with us as I share my love of her and music with my children. "God love that baby!" . My grandfather had just immigrated to Raleigh, NC from Greece in 1955 and was working in his older brother’s diner who immigrated 7 years prior. My grandfather was cleaning up late, and Elvis had been in town for a couple weeks with the Hank Snow show. My grandfather was sitting in one of the booths struggling with his homework when this boisterous young Elvis with about 5-6 other men came in at around 12am and sat at a booth in front of him. Elvis turns around and spots my grandfather looking befuddled over his homework. He goes over to him and says “hey son, what are you working on?” To which my grandfather replied “my English is bad, I don’t know this” and it was the English alphabet. Elvis sat with my grandfather for a good while and helped him sound out and write out the alphabet. Elvis had such a soft spot for immigrants and minorities, that love he had for other people was so great. To this day my grandfather cries every time he tells this story and proudly says “Elvis helped me learn the letter ‘H’ “ Honest to God true story, and we both cried watching his biopic because that raw goodness was used against him. Elvis deserved the world, may God bless his beautiful memory always.

I have always been a Beatles fan. I’m 36 and didn’t know much about Elvis I thought his theatrics were odd. But I watched the new movie and then started my research. What a great and talented man. I can honestly say I am a huge fan now and will always be. He hid his pain so well but was a broken man due to the people and influences around him. So sad.

Couldn't stop crying, throughout the last half of the film. Sad indeed
