I’ve watched every, every chalk paint, milk paint, whatever paint video posted on UA-cam and this is the most beautiful, very simple but different repaint I ever seen, including Pinterest. Great job.
This piece exceeded my expectations. I’ve watched so many of these furniture redo videos, which I often enjoy, but this one was a step above... inspirational, and a true transformation. You are very talented!
This has to be one of the best videos I've watched about restoration, and I'm so glad I stumbled on to your channel by accident! Love the simplicity that gave this piece such an upscale rustic look, and a new life! Enjoyed your commentary, you give that "just right" amount of info!
Wow. I really thought the black would wash out the architectural touches and yet it really makes them pop in a trendy/classy way. You certainly have an artistic eye for these designs. Love it. Thanks for sharing!!
This transformation was perfect! I have been experimenting with black stain, and the results have opened up more ideas for furniture pieces. Keep up your amazing work!
Holy cow!! How many times has a gawdy piece like that made into the landfill because it's just so stinking outdated? And then look what you did to it!! It's incredible!! You have an amazing eye!
Outdated is EXTREMELY IN NOW. one of the reasons is because a dresser from the last 20 years is not solid wood and is in the landfill because the drawers broke. Mid century modern is what everyone is denanding especially vinetage and not copies of vinetage like most designers are doing. I would kill for this peice even before she did her magic
Watching your videos makes me wanna take a shot at a bookshelf I was given by our neighbors who moved out. I have no idea where to begin on them so these videos always helps. I love how relaxing you are too.
Amazingly beautiful! Such a gorgeous statement piece you've turned this into! It's really the combination of your technical know-how, attention to detail and artistic eye that makes you this good at furniture upcycling.
Girl....bravo! You are so personable and your genuine character truly shines through. You’re easy to listen to, thorough with your instructions and tips, and you have a talent that, combined with everything I just listed, makes you a rare find and I wish you tremendous success in everything you do!
I can't even believe that's the same piece! What gorgeous wood grain you revealed when you stripped it. Someone is going to love it forever (and maybe build their whole decor style around it.) I think I probably would.
Thank you for keeping and loving the natural wood elements, its nice to not see chalk paint slapped on every surface. Not that I hate chalk paint but that’s 99% of “restored” furniture channels now. You and DIY WIFE have become my favorites at the moment.
This dresser went from ordinary to stunning! I love black and white, this would look good with a lot of different decor styles because it's old-fashioned and modern at the same time.
This is beautiful. I love these furniture pieces from the ‘80s and ‘90s. You have finished this in such a unique way. It really shows the details and I love the tone-on-tone look of the hardware. I’m really enjoying your videos.
Sometimes you just jive with the way a crafter works and girl, you're it for me. As someone who redoes furniture, especially wood pieces, watching you work was so relaxing and satisfying. This piece is gorgeous and I'm inspired. Also...I have never heard of the balm for the wood, so much better than wax.
I just made my boyfriend watch this video. Lol he loves contemporary so I knew he would love your style with how you redo your pieces and yep, I was right. He said you did an amazing job and it looks so clean. Of course, I agreed. Lol
Angie, you may be new to UA-cam but you are quite knowledgeable about the entire furniture restoring & flipping process - as if you have been doing it for years. You also have much more inventory & completed projects than just a beginner. You say you don't have of some of the extra tools that furniture flippers typically have, but obviously it hasn't slowed down your ability to be a creative genius : D Yippee for us viewers at home who get to see magic happen when you pick up a disaster piece and (with your limited resources but unlimited creativity) transform it into an unrecognizable stunner!
This is absolutely stunning! You have a great talent for being able to see what a piece can become! Thank you for explaining the steps clearly and sharing your passion with us!
WOWWWW! I want a whole set of furniture like this. I would never think of putting black hardware on black drawers. It looks AMAZING along with the whitewash! Now you've got me amped up to take it on as my next project. Love from New York ❤️
This is STUNNING. I know I'll be ending up with a lot of my parent's old vintage pieces one day, and I'm hoping I can transform at least a few of them into something half as beautiful as this.
The way you can look at a piece and see what it could be instead of what it is, that is a talent in itself! I love watching you transform pieces into something that anyone would be honoured to have in their home, this piece is no exception 🥰
Up for work drinking tea and I just have to repeat what has already been said, "this piece is stunning"! I questioned the whitewash in the beginning since I love the look of wood but, what do I know😄. Well done with the hardware. You just have a natural eye and skill to it all. Beautiful ma'am. I'm so inspired!
Really admire that you managed to make over a poor old monster into something so sleek and desirable. You've given this dresser gravitas! I love all your choices here, the black metal hardware on matte black, the contrast between pale washed wood and darkly painted drawers. Of all the very cool furniture artists who participated in the $100 Challenge, your aesthetic is definitely closest to mine. Better still, the skills and care you put into your work are second to none.
Aww, thank you so much! I'm pretty eclectic overall but still somehow manage to retain a certain "style".. people in my area can easily recognize my work on buy/sell pages so I guess that's a good thing for sure! :-)
I had to pause the video at 12:06 and just take it all in. Wooooooooow….STUNNING. The entire video was perfection. Exactly the right pacing, right amount of information and even the after shots timed to the beat of the music was spot on. Love, love love!
Wow I'm speechless!!! I was trying to Envision your vision and I couldn't see it, and now that it's finished my mind is blown away great job that looks like it cost thousands of dollars absolutely stunning Bravo !!!!!
You are a very talented designer and craftsperson. Thank you for sharing your best practices with us, I am sure you have inspired many people to DIY and to buy your beautiful pieces.
I never was a fan of whitewash it reminds me of the pickled look from the 80s but your piece is gorgeous!! Thanks for showing me the whitewash in a new light!
So funny to hear you call yourself a "new channel" (10:49) now that you have your silver UA-cam button! I love what you did with this piece! I'm going back and watching your older videos - just love your style!
My opinion - Everyone who watches this video should become a subscriber. Such beautiful videography, music, editing, your voice & descriptions. A pleasure to watch, learn & gain inspiration to refinish a similar dresser I have (& loathe 😆). Years ago my sister had some dressers professionally whitewashed (with a southwestern grayish tone). Forgot how much I loved them...until this presentation. So happy I just stumbled on this video... NEW subscriber. Thanks so much for sharing your talents.
I'm not a big fan of whitewashed furniture but you took this piece to another level. I love watching all of your videos. Very informative and you have a very nice voice to listen to.
I have been into black pieces for quite some time now, and could not wait to see your finished product. I was not disappointed! Beautiful! I did an upstairs bathroom vanity in black… it still gets complimented.
Wow. It doesn’t look rustic, it looks very upscale and sophisticated. Well done. I love it.
Looks amazing, a piece of furniture I would definitely purchase
Very nice work
This is my favorite so far!!! I love that you always do 2-tone, gives a lot of character to the piece and you always showcase the wood grain!
You may be new to UA-cam but you're obviously not "New" to the game. This piece is gorgeous and looks highly professional. Stunning!

It actually saddeneds me when I see pieces going to the landfill, ive redone over a 100 pieces and would love to save all of them from this fate!!!!
I would agree !
Absolutely stunning!
I honestly didn't expect to like it, but this is nice.
Stunning doesn’t justify this piece. You have a wonderful eye, talent. Really love your work.
AGREED!
Watching your videos makes me wanna take a shot at a bookshelf I was given by our neighbors who moved out. I have no idea where to begin on them so these videos always helps. I love how relaxing you are too.
One of those pieces you'd change your whole bedroom for!
Oh My Gosh the resuuuults!!! I'm in love with that black paint!
That black on black does look really good.

You've turned it into an elegant yet masculine piece.
Very nice flip, loved the video! Lots of work and well worth it in the end!❤️
Omg i loved this flip
This channel will blow up in no time, amazing! Just wow.

You have a nice, and a peaceful voice. The dresser is beautiful! Look forward to more of your videos.

Wow. That is gorgeous. Great job.
You sound so enthusiastic in this video. It is nice to hear you enjoy yourself.

You've transformed a plain, outdated dresser into a beauty that no one can take their eyes off of!
I’m not a big fan of painting wooden furniture but you’ve won me over. You do great work. Please keep it up. 👍
I LOVE it! You knocked it out of the ballpark.
I'm not usually a whitewash fan but with the black drawer fronts and hardware its stunning. You have a great eye. Very talented.

Oh, I love them black!

Beautiful!
I did an upstairs bathroom vanity in black… it still gets complimented.
hardware with the center wood detail is so good! Somehow the black on black accentuates the detail!
Extraordinary period it belongs in a contest that you will win obviously
So much better than the original 👍👍👍
