The action on that Adamovic bass looked realy nice and low. Can i ask what is the measurement for the trussrod and stringheight? And at what fret/frets? It would be a great help..thank you in advance 🤘
I'll have to give these a try, I've been a fan of DR strings for a while now for precisely the reason that they don't seem to have the same break in period of extreme zingy/trebly-ness that most do so I'm intrigued to hear that comment about these.
TI rounds don't have that harsh sound intially either. Galli were my favorite round until I discovered TI rounds however maybe I'll give these a try at some point.
Galli String and P Bass.... remind me of Andy Irvine who also uses among others an Italian Bass Cabinets and Heads... Andy also could be a contributor to BassTheWorld channel and vice-versa (this is just a suggestion)!! Nice review by the way.
It's obvious the p bass is insanely compressed. I think that's what constitutes most of the coolness in the sound. I think you should be upfront about that. Unless these strings really just have the ability to make it sound as they're heavily compressed.
Would have liked to hear these on a bass that is known to be bright such as Rickenbacker so see if they compliment the natural sound of different types of basses. Also in comparison with a more known string brand such as D'Addario for example. For me you can't beat DR Highbeams for tone or Rotos for brightness, attack and value. Not sure these would suit my playing, but I do admit they sound great. Great review
Ahhh for fecks sake!! I'm just after putting a set of those luminous yellow strings on my bass ,now I'm hankering after these sound wonderful-snake oil-cure all stringy thingy whatchamacallits, Will they be in lidl or aldi anytime soon?
Gregor I love all of your videos. If upon editing, the video is not at least 10 minutes, add more playing. You are too concise and we love hearing bass Thanks for talking just a little bit slower. It takes me a bit to translate alamande to mercan
Interesting how it takes a bass channel to review strings. As a guitarist myself, I find little heed is paid to them via most review channels. Maybe if we played with a clean tone 90% of the time, we'd care more haha
It probably also helps that frequently changing strings is also way more of a financial expense when it comes to bass string sets (20-30 bucks and up per set) lol
Also the thickness of bass strings plays more into the tone of the bass vs the guitar strings it's not quite as extreme. Say jumping from a light set 9-42 will feel different to you and sound different then a 13-50 set where as bass is more noticeable when you have a light set on it sounding tiny and thin
Hi, I'm a big fan of this channel and through basstheworld I met a fantastic bassist, Renè, with a great groove. frankly I was blown away by Gregor's words and comments on our country, which I think are really trivial and stupid. I hope that all this is due to a form of ignorance that did not allow Gregor to fully understand the excellence of our country. Cheers
Galli strings are really high level products of historic brands...like Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Ducati, Aprilia, Armani, Valentino, Brunello di Montalcino, Chianti, Barolo, Barbaresco and so on. Pasta has hundreds of shapes, so...not only long and thin things 😉😉😉
I've spent a lot of money on strings, expensive and cheap ones. The only real thing that mattered was gauge size. As far as tone, they eventually all wear out rather quickly. Flat wounds, if you're going for a certain less flashy, pronounced sound. Other than that, save your money.
Yes, I am a musician. I have been playing bass 48 years professionally and I have never seen anyone make such faces. Audiences don't really want to watch someone on stage making weird faces.
I came for the bass.......I stayed for the face....
I came for the face...I stayed for the bass.
Well you both said it so well I'll just point out with my reply, John Martinez's comment now; "sits in the middle!"😅
Have a good day!
That bass makes everything sound good. Hardly a fair test. :)
They sounded great on the P. Very warm indeed, with just the right amount of brightness to them. 😎👍
...ich freu mich jedesmal tierisch Frank Itt zu sehen...und deinen absolut geilen Sandberg JB, Gregor!
❤️👍
...ich bin dabei ;-)
These last few videos really have an Itt factor
“Bass face meme generator”
genius!
Beautiful sound indeed
Thanks, Gregor, for your accent! I'm from Russia and I understand every word you say. British accent, for exsample, I can't understand at all
🎸Very jolly good strings! Awesome playing too!✌️
Wow. Those strings sound sweet on the P Bass. I wonder how they would tame the highs on a Stingray.

As always great review Gregor and very very interesting strings; I really like the tone they bring
I just found this channel and I love it already.

Ace of Bass.

Frank is amazing! 👍
Definitely will try to pimp my bad bass with Gallis! Frank Itt, so cool, thanks Gregor!

I know Andy, we’ve met a few times. But I prefer to produce these videos here at our studio in Germany

Consider my intrigued, maybe I’ll grab a set when I need to change the strings on mine.
No mention of flat wounds.. Do they make flats?
Yes, they make all kind of strings

Great sounding strings but what a player!!

It's just me or the intro sounds like Stanley Clarke?
Definitly has some School Days vibe in a good way.
The begining is exactly the same notes, yes.
Definitely!
Need Gadd on the kit
Frank Itt - eine Legende - geiler Typ
02:33 - this is beautiful
3:29 I just started singing "Give it away, give it away, give it away, now".

Can you purchase these strings in the United States? The sweetwater link does not pull them up. Tx!
Podrian poner substitutos en español....... Porque no entiendo nada
Pasta and bass string... long and thin something... Italians are very good at those things.
Frank Itt knows he's badass. Funk master Frank!
That fender needs a comparison with your white signature pbass
Grandpa can play!
They sound like chromes should sound, like chromes.
So... they sound great, but then again I’m Italian!!! Lol 😝
What do they cost???
Spank that bass! "Who's the daddy?" Bass, "You're the daddy! sniff sniff!"
Oh another brand of string claiming that they're more balanced than any other brand haha
Not Really, I heard that this Brand Injects Oil from a Cobra into the Core of the String metal, to Increase Sustain..
Those bass faces tho

I've had good luck with elixir strings, I have a nickel set on my ibanez soundgear and musicman.
Well if Italy is famous with Pasta, Strings are sort of chromes Spaghetti
LOL UA-cam wants to auto generate *German* subtitles for this video. Artificial intelligence seems to have guessed ze accent.
Italy is famous for pasta and cheese? Maybe you forgot cars, fashion, art, history, tourism, culture, music, etc etc
Italy, known for Berlusconi and the Mafia. Better?
@@basstheworldofficial this is a discriminating comment, then according to you Germany should be famous for Little Adolf?
@@basstheworldofficial Dear Gregor I never expected such an ignorant answer from you.
Bass
Well, whatta you know, they sound like bass strings
I avoid silk wound strings
ความรักเหมือนยาขม
For me I buy the cheapest strings, because there are to many factors for a good sound.....
Pyramid gold med flats on a p bass...
Please please someone give him some morphine. I cannot watch such pain!
Why such ugly faces playing the bass? It would be better to just hear the bass.
you’re not a musician, are you?
Its called funk face and you need to respect it.
Yes, I am a musician. I have been playing bass 48 years professionally and I have never seen anyone make such faces. Audiences don't really want to watch someone on stage making weird faces.
