- If there's one thing we see more than anything else when out on rescue callouts, it's animals entanglements...
This poor mallard was the latest victim, needing a little help after getting his leg still in plastic line. Luckily (after the scene was assessed for the risk of avian influenza), Jacob was soon on the scene to help!

There used to be a saying here when it rained: "Great weather if you're a duck." Awesome rescue, guys. Beautiful bird. Thanks for what you do.
I love seeing more staff getting involved and the future of WAF continuing. You have an awesome organization!
The free, volunteers go above and beyond frequently.
He actually looked much healthier on his release than before! Must’ve been all that great care he received. 🙂
Certainly. Though I also think he was just roughed up from being tangled (and probably trying to pull free for a while). The rest has probably given him the time to bring his feathers into order again.
Jumping in...' I'm free and I LOVE this weather' .....ahhhhhh! ' The PERFECT DAY' !
THANK You WILDLIFE AID!
yet ANOTHER GREAT RESCUE!
and also a HUG and Thank You to the person who reported this duck in distress !
Lawrie’s subtitles 😂 . Omg, I needed that laugh this morning. That aside, thank you to Jacob for rescuing and helping this mallard. Poor guy. Video of the rain and the leaves is beautiful too
Don’t see videos from you often, but I ALWAYS enjoy them.
Same here!
My family had a pet mallard duck when I was growing up. My mom named him Sir Francis the Drake. Thank you for rescuing and caring for this wonderful bird. 🦆
I loved the happy tail wiggle as he was released.
I like how, glad to be home, he sipped the water at the end the way one might have a glass of wine after a stressful day at work. 3:53
That is a perfect metaphore. You could almost hear a sigh of relief as if someone puts the legs up after a long stressful working day.
Ty for saving yet another member of our wildlife. I’m so worried when disposing of trash at home I will pick up and then cut up elastic bands left thrown on my porch by the postal service or simply on items that I’ve brought . Ty WAF ❤
This is exactly the reason i stopped going fishing a few years ago, it's incredibly destructive.
The paradox of fishing, you'd think they would know better, a group which you would think are environmentally savvy, when actually some are a law unto themselves...
It’s not the plastic that’s the problem. It’s the stupid people that inappropriately dispose of it.
It’s not destructive if care is taken, you should go back to fishing, and do it the right way. You could also pick up as you go. I have a buddy who fishes, takes his sack, grabber and knife and gets the line out of the trees as he goes.
That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. As a fisherman, you always leave with more than you took. You aren’t just a fisherman when fishing; you’re natures caretaker. Go back to fishing and this time bring a trash bag. When you finish fishing, pick up some trash.
@@mary-ruthflores4107 but it's not ethical to suffocate a fish to death
Job very well done boys. Superheroes that are real and saving wildlife every day. Now that's something to recognize and appreciate. God Bless you all.❤❤
Big props for the surprisingly dry subtitles :)
Thank you, that was so funny :)
Is the vet Italian? If that's the case say to him "grazie" from me. 😊 And thanks to all who rescued and looked after the ducky. 🍻
He was pleased to go.
Such a graceful exit from the carrier. Another job well done team.
Lawrie is out with Jack, his latest on screen "helper", well done to all the team for another successful capture, check up and release.
Thank you for saving this sweetheart duck. Fishing lines make a lot of harm to waterfowls.
protect our ducks 🙏
so nice these young man are saving animals !! what a super nice rescue !! Thank u guys !! 🦆
Thanks Wildlife Aid team 👍
Hoping everyone is doing well
Good reminder to always clean up any netting and fishing wire you may see discarded in streams and alongside paths when on a walk. It may just save an animal's life, and a Jacob from getting all soggy and grumpy :)
Glad this duck was rescued. I’ve seen multiple geese with string wrapped tightly around their legs. I didn’t know what to do. Next time I see one, I will try to call a wildlife rehabilitator. Unfortunately, I’m not in the UK, so I can’t call Wildlife Aid!
Nice work, Gents.
Jacob you are a super hero!! Thank you for risking the stink in order to save the mallard. Bravo!!!! 👏👏👏❤❤❤
Beautiful animal. Thanks for all you do.
Thank You enjoyed seeing the duck escaped without any real damage, and hopefully a bit more wiser. Snowstorm in Wisconsin , Feed the bird under the truck , brats, have the startling gobbling much of the food. been trying to get them to move on, but my next door neighbor has plenty of nesting areas around his house the starlings claimed as theirs....Finished a Wigeon painting pair, and evening Grosbeak .pair. doing a white throated sparrow, now.
I love the little tail wag when he was settled on the pond. Very cute! Thank you so much for all that you do!
Love, love, love Jacob's hair! Good job, guys! I love how you always make sure to take care of all the line before you leave. Painstaking dedication.
Cmon fishermen..be more responsible..
Hello to Simon!! Thoughts and prayers to you.✌️
❤ Great work team! Thankyou! Always a treat to watch your invaluable work! XXX
Within their little minds and universes - they must wonder what is to be
Tis wonderful the kind hands hold them - little souls to set them free
The mystery is no clearer to us - all spirits pretty much the same
Paths cross, eyes exchange - the light of the never ending flame
❤
I love the coloring of mallards
I don’t like your videos I adore your videos and I am inspired by your team and their hard work and compassion in rescuing wildlife in need of a helping hand or whom are in need of emergency treatment. Thank you Wildlife Aid for all that you do and blessings to you all.😊
I love how their little feet hit the water first like they are water-skiing. Just hope, that this little guy does not encounter more fishing-line or other stuff.
Excellent rescue and release. ❤🦆
Don’t forget to “like,” “share,” & “subscribe” everyone!
Another life saved. Beautiful.
I love the little bum wiggle the duck gives as soon as it's back on the water. Happy bird and sterling job from the team x
Well done to Jacob and Lawrie, although they are remarkably common mallards are beautiful, such wonderful colours.👍
That rainy day was probably the perfect weather for him! Wonderful work lovies!
Well done Jacob, I can smell that water from here.
Jacob never change that hair, it's fabulous.
Is it me, or is bird flu being kept quiet about ????
Thank you for everything you do or the animals.💗💗💗💗.
Thank you!!!!!
Hey you deserve my first like
Good to know there’s a rapid avian flu test, for the safety of both the rescuers and other critters back at the hospital as well.

Water is NOT a waste bin!
What a beautiful ending shot and what a happy bird 🦆
Thanks!🐍
Ugh, I have had to rescue ducks with fish hook and fishing line problems. I remember one time am duckling's bill was caught in a fish hook that was wrapped around a stick way out away from the lakeshore. The hook and lure were super shiny and the duckling pecked at it, probably thinking it was food. The mom was frantic. I went into the water and managed to rescue the duckling. He had a permanent hole in his bill, so I could always recognize him. Years later, even, I would see him with his "holey" bill. He lived quite a long time and never got tangled again.
Well done!
Thank you for all you do. 💚💚💚💚.
Another great rescue.
Thanks! Keep up the good work!
Feels great to donate doesn’t it?

Wonderful work, team! Admiring you from across the pond in New York City ʕ•́؈•̀ʔ
Lawrie didn't get wet in a water rescue! Crazy! Constructive feedback to the producer of the UA-cam content: The text boxes in this video came and went too fast :)
🦆T🦆H🦆A🦆N🦆K🦆S🦆 boys. For saving this mallard (horrendous entanglement!!!! People 🤬!!!!)
Ooh Jacob, you got wet again😘. Thanks for another lovely video from WAF! Love you all 💖🥰
Well done, once again! ❤️
I give a 10/10 for that water entry.
Adorable! I really love this rescue. 😍
At 2:18, does Simon say “Luckily, after farting through our quarantine unit…”?
I didn’t realise this duck was a flatulent flapper!
Good to see a new video! Many thanks!!
Great job you guys. But very annoying to see discarded fishing tackle in UK waterways and lakes!
Just noticed the subscribe button isn't red anymore, you will have to get Simon to do a new outro
Thank you guys so much, well done!!
If only people who fish would cleanup and not leave fishing wire. It kills so many animals!
Thanks guys for a great rescue!
Danke💖
Dios los bendiga por el bien que hacen a sus creaturas y a la naturaleza que Él creó para todos.
Did the duck pay cash for the medication or did you put it on his bill?
Nice one 😆.
Haven’t heard that joke since grade school. Good one 👏
Fantastic rescue and release ❤
All team god bless 🙏❤
AbDUCKted 2:05 😁
Give a donation in memory of Simon who founded Wildlife Aid❤️
💪 awesome job and video guy's, well done.💖😁
The ducks should return their bottles once they are done . Why leave the deposits for the government.
Great job as always
Nicely done!!
