Thanks Jack. I watch and you have help to get my truck in the 2s. My Traxxas just need more traction. I just need to leave lighter on trans brake . I follow you and like watching your progression.
You're gonna need a different wheelie bar. The traxxas ones flex too much and cause that pull to the left. Throw a metal one on there and let the stability management do it's job and it'll go straight even on a bad surface
Nice buddy. Yes there is a vxl class starting. If I was you brother. Grab a $200 Losi roller for your drk and trinity. And keep working your drag slash for that vxl class. Supposed guys running 2.4 with vxl electronics
That body looks so good man. Really loving this build. I'm not into the racing, just bashing and having fun. But, man are you making me want to get a Losi drag chassis! lol
Hey Jack, just curious cause I saw you hearted/read the comment. Is this something you may try. I use to run an Associated TC3 Factory/Team Edition (Fully carbon), and I did indoor carpet track touring AND outdoor touring on asphalt, and I used foam tires outside, the grip compared to rubber was phenomenal.
@@dylanh4657The hobby shop that I went to back in the day would spray soda syrup on the course out back and the foam would grip like the car was on rails. Rubber, not so much, smashed a few bodies and front ends trying to push the rubber to match the foam grip.
Man, that Malibu body reminds me of my first G body. An 80 white Malibu coupe, red interior, 305 with a 4 speed and the F-41 suspension. I beat the ball bag off it bc I was young and didn't realize it was kinda rare.
For your drag slash, running TSM off and do you use the trans brake or just pull yourself? also love the way your are keeping stock electronics and getting the most out of them first. That's my plan don't really want to replace them myself. Thank you
@jack Cecil Hey Jack, I just bought a Yamaha XTZ 125 in Colombia. I was wondering if you knew where I could find some performance mods for it? The labor here is cheap and I was considering making some videos on how to shave the head or do a big bore kit. What do you think?
I just bought a drag slash, tested everything on a stand first. I took it to the street and I launched it 3 times and on the 3rd time, the spur gear was shredded. I am not very happy about it but now I am not sure if I go metal or plastic. any help is appreciated.
I got to build me a drag car now... I have many scale crawlers and want something else... When I started high school in ....1994...loll... that was the first car I bought... 1981 Malibu with a 305
After watching the 1320 video episode where the guys are running 1.7 at 85mph with a 20k$ pot and 400 car entries I want to sell my nitro trucks and get into this now lol. The guy that won was running consistent 1.9s
Dammit Jack... you are single-handedly going to be the reason I buy one of these.
Someone tag traxxas to let them know!
Stop fighting it SDSBBQS and join the force haha!
I've got a Traxxas truck, I can never keep that thing running and in one piece. Fun hobby, so expensive
They do get expensive, I use to race the short course trucks. Adds up quick
Heck ya!!! Love the paint and decals.
Making me so keen to buy a drag slash in a few weeks keep up the killer content
Jacks videos are always so relaxing.

Dude I’m so happy I can watch rc stufff on your channel. You can make anything go fast
Like a bunch of other people said already. That's a badass body man. Looks so good.
Thank you!

It’s really fun just making hits on the street!
@@JackCecil maybe I'll get one just for fun. I have the Skyrc gnss unit already...why the hell not?
Great videos and information. Still being enjoyed, great content!
Put a little preload on the left shock
New body looks awesome!!!
Nice new body what s good about that easy body change its allmost like you have a different car now not a truck
Just an idea. Try some foams with tire compound. Foams love to grip on warm asphalt, even though they get eaten up quickly on such surfaces.

@@canadianracer83 Normal tire compound they have for foams works great. It comes in a can with a ball shaped brush, like a can of PVC plumbers cement.
Belted rubber tires are used to stop the tires from ballooning, like what would happen if you used foam tires.
@@adamwetzel6547 I've never seen foams balloon really. They are solid and glued to the rim.
Need to try and get your hands on some voodoo tires.
My fastest time on even a stock 50c burst 2s traxxas battery was a 2.65 with no prep and stock body and have a time slip to prove it

I had a 79 Monte Carlo.
Great video. Stock with 29T I got a 2.95 @ 47mph
Same exact here also
Ive been watching mark Santa Maria lately. Good rc content
Dusty wrap for the Malibu? Just a thought..... ;)
The new body is slick af.
Use the proline 2wd body mount system so you can delete the body clips

Tsm turned down, no trans brake.
Bring back the drag slash and max out the chassis with the new tech “ r1 , ghost motor or 4 pole 6600kv , and voodoo or something similar .🔥

Can you please show how you changed the bodies? Just learning this rc thing and I love that body!!!
Also I run a fan on my esc made a huge difference
Nice do you run a fan on the esc?..i think they go for like 20 bucks for a hot racing at local hobby shop...
No fan. I just make one pass at a time.
I know some guys heat their batteries to get them to flow electrons a little faster.
Take it you’re running 3S. Great job
The ‘Bu is SICK

hello sir, please let me know what size spur and pinion T, for the original traxxas drag slash combo, please answer
Love the Malibu body
Are those the Big Daddy tires from proline
looks like you like old chevys. when are you building your 383 malibu
Are you using the Traxxas Bluetooth module?
What gearing are you running? I’ve changed shock oil, ran 29t pinion, reactionwide tires, redline batter. And best run is 2.83
With the low turn motors
Love the drag car (I work at aAmain hobbies so I know how addicting they can be) but I did not hear that 2 gear from your rx7 😄
I’ll put the intro in the next one lol
What items are needed to see how fast the truck is using your cell?
Few hours before you run wipe rear tires down with wd40 and put in a zip lock bag until use.
Sunscreen
Did you use the stock drag slash body mounts for that body?

Jack you should get a Tesla body if they have them 😂👌
Keep up the good work tho buddy!
Did we miss the updates on the MR2?
No it’s needing a new turbo and leaking oil so there’s stuff we are waiting on
@@JackCecil ok, thanks.
What shock oil you running in the rear and what gearing
Cut the rear end out of the Malibu and put a different wing on it I have few rc drag cars I built
Always having fun lol 🔥🔥🔥 ❤️
R u running foam in those
I like rc cars!!!
with the scale and speed conversion how fast would that be in full scale
no prep king
What app are you using to track your GPS and time.
GNSS
What app is that?
Is this with a 2s battery?
Stock esc and motor?
Sick 🤘
Super
- 👍 👍 🔧 -
Use a cap pack
Snake content please
If this was a full size car it would run 27.5 seconds at 480 mph
Its literally very fast
Look for a concrete road
pimp juice an it wont spin lol
