It's the new year and I've got a new car for my wife, a BMW X6. After 7 months of driving her Defender she's decided to change to something just as powerful but slightly more understated.

I liked how all security features, including Uzi, were listed to let the bad guys know this is not one for them to try.. I like the new X6, too.
Very interesting transition considering these are two completely different cars to each other. The Defender V8 is an absolutely amazing car and I love what you’ve done to it with the full urban kit because it looked wicked 😍. Sounds good too with the 5.0 SC V8 from the SVR. But considering your wife wanted something a bit more refined, I’d say the X6 Diesel was a really good choice. The diesel X6s are very efficient on fuel, reliable, very comfortable, safe and practical too. I would say it’s a very good daily and it does the job too. The defender V8 on the other hand is a car that’s in your face, especially if it’s fully kitted out. Like I said, these two are completely different to one another and it all comes down to what a person prefers and what their needs and requirements would be. For me, I think the X6 is good enough, but I also do prefer having a lot of power and aggression, which would make me opt for the top of the range X6M Competition over the diesel model.

Mate I love your videos and have since day 1 , I've also just bought an X6 but the X6m comp, why I cane to the comments was because your protection dog doesn't seem as highly trained as it could be, I'm a protection dog trainer and when you say stay he should stay not wander around etc ... keep up the good work pal and stay safe

Yes the defender is bigger but you have made it more noticeable than it needs to be , by having it altered by urban and by having a louder exhaust on it , the standard V8 although big goes around quite unnoticed!!!!
Exactly what I was thinking, I personally am not a fan of the urban body kits and think the standard defender looks a lot better.

X6 all the way, I have a 70 reg too new shape, it has solid power, extremely comfortable to drive and the infotainment system is a huge upgrade from the previous shape

Defender. Road presence is out of this world.
The defenders nice but I love the X6! Especially the X6 M and X6 M50d. Fast, comfortable, looks gawjus and much more fuel efficient compared to alot of other SUV/4x4s out there.
WOW! I actually traded in my X6 to switch to a RR Sport and recently traded the RR Sport for a brand new Defender and I’m never getting rid of it!!! I loved my X6 but I’d never trade my Defender for one! Good luck though!

Personally, I'd much prefer the X6. I prefer the car as a whole. I'm not bothered about the V8, I prefer to cruise around not be heard before I'm seen. That's just me, though. Currently have a Diesel Mercedes GLC Coupe and love it. My next car may be an X6 so nice to see this video. Happy wife, happy life they say 🤣
Bmw all the way here!! On my 4th X5 30d latest one just amazing car, probably too good really. But now children (×3)are almost out of child seats am thinking about a M3 com ,what do you think?? Also got a truck for running around in!!

X6 is great no doubt, but I would have gone for an X5 M. It'll have some more sportiness, space, and luxury. Blacked out too :)
Obviously I would choose the urban no doubt but the x6 if you guys got the x6m compitition then it would be betrr
I would probably go for the BMW as its more luxury inside like you pointed out
as much as people go on about the looks on the outside the inside its where your spending the most time inso you should like it more
The defender is only nice when it has a Urban kit otherwise it looks boring.

The defender is cool, but not sure as a daily runner it’s what you’d want to live with. I’m a BMW man, but Id pick an X5 (with pan roof) over the X6. Never been a fan of the coupe like shapes in a big 4x4 👌

Once you get on BMW , will never be able to get on another ride. However, I think the transition from the defender would be better to X5 50i
For sure the BMW, simply because of the quality of the ride. Could you explain to me why you did not go for one of the hybrid or electrical propositions of BMW? A diesel seems a bit peculiar choice in this day and age.
What percentage are those tints on the front windows ?
love the defender but I get it can attract a lot of attention with looks and that v8 and maybe it's not the right type of attention you want hence I respect the choice of the X6. Sporty while remaining classy.
Between those two, Defender all day. If that X6 was a fully specced X5 however, I’d take that.

I’ve owned and driven many a BMW since 1987. Driven most brands. There’s some amazing cars available but I’m a BMW driver. It’s in my blood. So, the X6 is my choice. The BMW 3 litre straight 6 diesel engine has to be one of the best engines available.
