A few tips! To bump up the color and flavor you can add a tsp of ube extract. A safer way to pour the batter is with a Pyrex with a spout. Finally, another topping idea is condensed milk!
Jen~you are simply the cutest person on YT! I do hope that's not insulting. Plus you make everything so easy! Huzzahs for you! Jenn (with two n's) 💖 in Canada 🍁
Girl that would be perfect for a Halloween Party!! When they were frying all I thought was how much it looked like a brain 🧠!! I think you need to be on Next Food Network Star! #iseeyouseeme
Jen, you’re hilarious! I love watching your videos. Definitely gonna try this out. I have some ube extract that might give the batter a more purple color.
sorry to break this to you, but that's not ube. rather, just a purple sweet potato. ube may be shapes like that, but it's rough outside and not completely purple, oftentimes.
Actually it is derived from Tagalog word "Ube" that is a part of Austronesian languages, same like Indonesian. But Indonesian word "Ubi" tends to "yam" in general, but for "Ube" tends to "purple yam" and for general, we use "yam". Ube in Indonesian is equivalent to "Ubi ungu".
That ube looks weird to me. The skin is smoother and cleaner looking than the ones I am used to. It looks more like kamote(sweet potato) which happens to be purple inside.
Barney was turned into puree 😫😭🤣🤣
Ube + Funnel Cakes + Science talk = ❤️😍 Looks Delicious! 😋

This is Thanos' favorite dessert.
My Filipino self always wants ube and this tops one of the things ube goes well with😩!
sorry to break this to you, but that's not ube. rather, just a purple sweet potato. ube may be shapes like that, but it's rough outside and not completely purple, oftentimes.
When you fry it, reminds me of Jalebi (Indian food) 😅

“A puree of everyone’s favorite purple dinosaur”
I just... I...
I knew that you could bust open that darned spud! Waray waray!

I imagine if she said it's like it.
My favorite is ube biko!
Drizzle this with coconut caramel and boom!
That color is a lipstick 💜😊👌

💗 lovessss!!!!
That looks so good! 😋 I wish I could find those purple yams! 😀
You may find them frozen in some Asian grocery stores. I live in Toronto, and that's the only way I've procured them here so far.
she should have rolled the ice cream in the coconut for her sandwich lol
jen Iove you. you should also make ube iCe cream. it's to die for.:-)
Omggg yum!!!
That’s purple sweet potato. Real ube is different.
Were you referring to Barney the dinasour? haha
A purée of Barney 😭😭😭😭 I died 😂😂😂
"Purple Dinosaur"
Me: uhm. Barney is that you?
In Indonesia, we call those Ubi
Actually it is derived from Tagalog word "Ube" that is a part of Austronesian languages, same like Indonesian. But Indonesian word "Ubi" tends to "yam" in general, but for "Ube" tends to "purple yam" and for general, we use "yam". Ube in Indonesian is equivalent to "Ubi ungu".
Well, there goes my diet.. THANKS JEN.. :P (*grabs car keys*)
please. more jen videos
But... but... What if I don't remember to just eat life?!?!?!
That ube looks weird to me. The skin is smoother and cleaner looking than the ones I am used to. It looks more like kamote(sweet potato) which happens to be purple inside.
It is. Real ube are whiter inside with just blotches of purple and if I remember correctly has tougher outer skin.
You're right. Looks like she got a Japanese purple sweet potato instead.
The same! I was like "ehh kamote ata yan eh."
Kamote nga yan na purple. Marami nyan sa bicol. Hindi yan ube.
Thats just okinawan sweet potato.
3:32 it looks like intestines 😂😂😂😂
Why does the "Ube" look more like a variety of sweet potato?
JENNNNNN 💙
i c o n i c
Hey Jen and Leo.
*uuuu bebé i 💜your way... everyday... yeah*
Girl 😭 I thought it was ground beef at first glance..
Girlfriend!!!! 😎😋😋💜
Barney funnel cake
Sorry, but I'm only subbed to this channel to see Jen's vids

Yay it's ube! Feel free to check my ube cake polymer clay up in my channel.
It may be purple but thats kamote or sweet potato definitely not ube
I agree, that's not ube 😁 definitely a purple sweet potato.
But that's not a real Ube, just a purple sweet potato
It looks like raw ground beef.
