Our closest Trader Joe's is about 80 miles away and TJ and Aldi do NOT sell liquor in the Myrtle Beach, SC area. Buh Bye Dillon. Some very good $15 bourbons = EW BiB white label, the new JB Repeal Batch and the discontinued Old Ezra 101 proof. Wow, even Dutch's "stone" nose had trouble with this one. The big question: Is "Die Hard" a hot dog? The next big question: Is that 3.25 the lowest score you have ever given??
Cheers guys, thanks for saving me from having to review another wheated bourbon. Dang, this sounds horrible! Also you should be make a Manhattan with Rye Whiskey not crappy wheated bourbon, lol
Thanks Guys for another entertaining Friday Night! Not all can be good or great. I did notice the Jules was not "bringing balance" tonight. When is Mr Dillion making another appearance?
Trader Joe's is mostly everywhere in the U.S., but you won't find liquor in grocery stores with state-wide alcohol statutes. So Trader Joe's, Total Wine, and Kirkland liquor brands aren't available in their stores in quite a few states.
Minnesota is known for lots of things, making bourbon is not even on the list, should have been the first clue as to why 3.25 score was probably to high.⚠️
When Dillion enunciates his name with two syllables that is never a good. Too bad the Trader Joe's Winter Wheat was a no go, and hope there isn't lower scoring bourbon out there. Cheers to great Bourbon!
Haha..this is the bottle I thought of when I first heard the term "Wheater Funk". IMO, other than the Wheater Funk, this is less objectionable than most other recommended value bourbons. Better that it taste near nothing than nasty, I suppose
If you want a wheater going in you think is going to be bad but is actually pretty good, find a Rebel Yell Single Barrel 10 Year. Most people really shit on Rebel Yell, and yes the 80 Proof base Rebel is pretty terrible, the small batch reserve is terribly mediocre, but step up to the 10 Year Single Barrel 100 proof and there's something there.
This is the worst liquor I have ever come across in my life. I bought a bottle months ago and I was super excited when I saw it. I went straight home popped it open in the afternoon to try it and it was awful. I don't think it is safe for human consumption. It taste like either they forgot to discard the heads which is very dangerous or they used a new still that wasn't cleaned out from the chemicals from manufacturing also very dangerous. I immediately poured it down the drain. I wouldn't advise anyone to drink this. It isn't just a bad tasting Whiskey it must be tainted with some chemicals.
I hope the discarding of the heads or chemical component is not true! Guys......let us know if you go blind or vomit by the end of the weekend! Too bad that a cheap, readily available bourbon is this TERRIBLE!
Thanks guys, you save me 12 bucks for not buying this. But you also cost me $120 for a Woodford Batch Proof, so I guess we are even.

There are two separate Aldi chains in Germany and Aldi Nord owns Trader Joe's and Aldi Süd owns Aldi USA, so not the same company.
Mr Dillion!!!!!!!! You need to try the Pabst blue ribbon whiskey when it drops.
Eddie was a super-underrated movie. Trading Places is the best Christmas movie of all time though.
Cut my teeth on Beam White Label. Still kinda fond in my heart. Especially in mixers.
Don’t forget Lethal Weapon for great Christmas movies! Great and funny review! Sounds like a bottle nobody wants. Cheers!🥃👍

Not all Trader Joe's sell spirits. It depends on what the state laws say.

Thanks guys, almost pick this up yesterday, :))
will you be doing the OF whiskey row 1920,1910 and such... would love to see what you all think.
Rich L = the guys did review the OF 1920 and gave it a great score.
@@djbeacon6895 you are correct... I found it after I posted this.... I would love to see what the guy's think of 1910.
Philips Distilling Co is in Princeton MN

Never tried it, but definitely agree on value. You can not only buy Jim Beam White but also EW Black, 1783. and BiB for about the same price.

While we have Trader Joe's, in North Carolina, no liquor on the shelves. The joys of living in an ABC state.
100% spot on. I bought it on a whom and tried to drink it neat: No Go! Not bad for whiskey ginger. I wish I had my money back though.
You guys are awesome. Great review 👍🏼🥃
Thanks Guys!
Die Hard is an action movie set at christmastime. It's not a christmas movie. There is a difference.
I sipped a big ol glass of this watching this review and I have to say I think it's a 5.
We have a Trader Joes - But Oklahoma laws prohibit any chain from bringing in their own.
Where does Trader Joe's have liquor stores?

Might make a decent old fashion.
first! almost 2k!
RIP Trader Joe
This review reminds me of Copper Fox Rye.
Don't dismiss Trader Joe's whisky. I have a TJ label 10 yr Ardmore that drinks great and it was only $30.00. Just gotta keep trying it.

Yup! (We've got a review of the 10yr SB coming really soon. Don't tell anyone)

Can't you filter or strain through bread? That seems to work for sterno. Maybe they left that step out??
Horrible bottle great review!
John wick, all the way.
Trader Joe’s is not a subsidiary of Aldi
Maybe you could use the remaining bottle to ....ummmmm Sterilize your hands for surgery.
I need to go to Trader Joe's here in Indy, but when I do I will not buy that shitshow of bourbon.
I don’t really like your Uniqueness category...it smells bad and tastes bad I don’t care if it’s a one of a kind in multiple categories...it’s bad.
Is this the worst scored bourbon reviewed so far?
Your scores are too high. Dillon is probably the closest to my personal score, which is garbage/10.
