I cannot believe this doesn't have more views on UA-cam, especially considering how big a cult following Boris has. This song is unbelievable..even by Boris standards
That second half might be the best drone track ever made. It's like ripping back the fabric of the universe and taking a look at what powers it all - the slow, unstoppable clock of time, ticking together with the bass.
The original release version of this song was the shortened ten minute version, with this extended cut only on deluxe editions released later. However, the fact the 18 minute version didn’t make it onto the album is mindblowing since the noisy outro is so good! It’s probably in my top 5 Boris songs.
i totally understand why they cut the long noise outro from pseudo bread but the extended version of this song is superior and the best song on the album imo i love how the drums ease up and finally fall away leaving you awash in a sea of distortion and howling feedback
I had such an intense experience with this song. I was sobbing my soul out from heartbreak. I looked up and saw myself in the corner of my ceiling. I looked down and saw myself, on the floor, crying with my head on my bed. I witnessed this as a third. The pain started to dissipate and I felt empty. I was no longer mad or hurt. I ended up getting over it quickly because I had gained another perspective. Boris heals. Boris 💗 Heals.
This song is basically a minor 7 and major 7 shell voicing (basically, stripped down versions of those chords) and some power chords here and there (obviously). Bands like Float Down the Liffey (try ソレイユ and He Stabs for Her Vast Majority) and Coaltar of the Deepers (My Speedy Sarah and C/O/T/D) use those shell voicings really often in their compositions and it has a really interesting vibe you can't really get anywhere else.
holy shit. I was obsessed with this band back in middle school. Got to see them during their Dear tour. I haven't listened to them for like 5 years until now, and it's so nostalgic. Absolutely beautiful coming back to this masterpiece after years of forgetting about it.
they uploaded the original version to spotify, the one that is cut off. what you are listening to right now is the extended version only found in the deluxe version.

Powerful
Perfect description. I have no idea what they tapped into but it was divine.
can't believe they removed the full song from spotify and uploaded a cropped 10 minute version
Had to come here to make sure I wasn't crazy for remembering it being closer to 18 minutes long

Simply one of the best rock songs of all time. Mind Blowing.
I felt truly wronged the day this 18 minute version was removed from streaming
One of the best songs ever made. Objectively speaking
I swear to god the end of this feels like you're staring into the void
The suicide noise for abandoning yourself
Blow my fucking ears up. My Machine, Farewell, and Just Abandoned Myself makes for one hell of a suite.

Wish the last ten minutes of this song could just wash over me endless
I love this song especially on the highway😮🎉
Sounds like something my vacuum cleaner would do.
Is that a compliment?
I go back and forth on if Farewell or this are better, but they share very similar vibes. Boris are an 11/10 band to me.
"Do you see now how truly infinite you are?"
Hail Boris. Japanese indie music goes HARD. 🤘
could you suggest me other similar japanese indie bands?

There have been two occasions where I've put this on and my elementary schooler has fallen asleep to it.
my toddler falls asleep to the hiss of a cranked 50 watt tube amp
This is an excellent song for guided meditation. I feel so good afterwards.
boris might be one of my new favorite bands at the moment. spectacular shit.
welcome aboard. buckle up.
this song contributed to my hearing loss from when I was in high school xD I used to blast it in my earbuds all the time!

hey I'll check 'em out, thanks!
❤️🔥
i suppose it's good to note as opposed to more traditional jazz guitar shell voicings i don't think these actually use the third!
To live is to fight. to fight is to live
insanely underrated
We who know Boris, give 2 them. See this uncompromising band NOW!
Doctor: You have 18 minutes to live

At first I was like: such a bad sound quality.
But then I: that punk is actually good.
And At the end I: daaaaaamn, that's awesome
drone masters
Perfect song for my existensial anxiety
Gnarliest ever.
guitar fucking dies
5:28 -> turning point of the song
i'd say 5:12 but same idea really
That transition is absolute perfection!
And Motorhead thought they had a wall of sound :P
Motörhead wasn't about a wall of sound, they were about being fast and loud.
Amazing
Does anyone know why the extended version got removed from Spotify? :/

You guys should check out All Too Well by Taylor Swift if you like 10 minute songs.
anyone know any similar songs? need more intense songs like this
check out Sunn, and the album boris and Sunn did together. Look up "drone" music
The Japanese version of untitled from boris' smile album is similar
I wish it would end at 5 minutes.
But that's where it goes from great to completely awesome...
youll miss the best part then
no, poser
