I'm a DJ on Ozcat Radio 89.5 FM. KZCT in Vallejo, California. I play this on my show pretty regularly. It is sonic perfection. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
2024 and STILL find myself coming back to this album. Found it about 6 years ago while I enjoyed a few grams of caps. Those days are few and far in between now, but the music remains constant. Thanks for sharing ♥️
Some of the best songs are the ones in which you could just sit back and listen to them. Where they could be endless and it wouldn't matter. This is one of those songs.
This song is like a journey. It starts slowly like the dawn in the morning, you pack your things and your bag, find your friends and fly together to some place. And the experience begins. At the same time the song starts to rock and it goes slowly to heavy psychedelic as your journey too, cause you are in the Hostel right now and you are meeting new guys from all over the world, drinking alcohol and drugs. And somehow 4 days later you are in an underground techno party kissing a girl from Italy drunk as fuck not knowing what's happening. The song is at its peak. Now you are in the hostel drinking coffee sharing your yesterday's stories with some new guys that you met there and you end up jamming with them with some music instruments at the square of the town to earn some money. The days have passed so quickly and you have to go.. you make a promise to everyone that you are going to see them again maybe soon. The plane flies away and you are in your home remembering all that shit and smiling like an idiot.
I'm turning 65 this year and can't be bothered with much of the music of the last few decades until i came across this.It really cuts the mustard for me .Play it loud at the and of the day with a few beers[in my case] truly a master piece.
When I first heard this song, I thought to myself, and I've said it to my boyfriend: this is the song I want to wake up every day. We sometimes forget about it, but it always comes as a beautiful surprise. Love it and thank you so much for it.
i was blessed enough to be there on the 19th of november 2017 when The Machine played this masterpiece live for the last time. it was one of the best nights of my life, and the kindness of strangers made it all the better. pouring my half-drunk heart out to a woman who frequented café Elektra, and she managed to get me one of the drum sticks from The Machine. And the barkeeper inviting me to sleep at his house because i had no place to stay. overall it was an amazing night and a genuine mark on my life
It’s kinda like taking the drug itself cause u discover a world nobody else seems to know about lol. Revisiting this song for the first time in a couple years. Sounds brand new every time
For every guitarists record, he was using a Russian Big Muff, a Danelectro Chicken Salad, a London City amp and matching 412, and an Epiphone Dot. Rock on!
Through the first half you are just confused where this is all going. Then all the sudden it hits you like a brick. This song is amazing. This song is an experience.
This is hands down, my all time favourite jam... as others have commented, it just gets me in all the places I want! Has a pure and righteous jamming vibe... If I was going to cry in the presence of a beautiful riff this would be it.
1 Million views in 5 years... good music is still appreciated guys! I read alot 'bout people discussing/complaining about how retarded radio or pop-chart music is... Just wanna say: better the mass is listening to mainstream, so we can develope and love this kinda "underground" stoner/psychedelic/bluesrock/whatever genre!! :) Art will never stop taking place, this band and a lot of others send out pure inspiration and vibes. keep goin' on everyone! Just take the day and make it your day! some of you will just sit, chill and maybe have a drink with friends to this song, others may get creative theirselves... but you honor this piece of art in any way, folks ...
Nothing like stoner blues music! I'm actually studying for my summer finals with this. One of the few rock tunes i can actually listen too without distraction.
The timelines of the multiverse spiral through our perception, revealing traditional concepts of time to be nothing more but a measurement of vibrations between universes... i'm too high for my own good >.
TheNikkuu exactly. I sorta enjoy the deep connection to things I've never seen or will never see. It's quite pessimistic.. The whole concept has changed my life though. I'm able to accomplish things I wouldn't be able to accomplish without having realised that nothing in this life actually matters. It definitely helps in the confidence department, would you agree?
I have never heard such expressive, powerful guitar playing in my life. This is some real shredding. I love The Machine but also this song is something special on its own. Incredible sound and feel. Beautifully mixed and played music.
So many great memories seeing the band. In Yellowstock, Sojo, Up in Smoke 3 in Trix, Duna Jam. In Trix together with Sungrazer. Somewhere in Antwerp opening up for KADAVAR
After a borinng day I finally got home. I put this song on play, opened myself a beer, leand back and just enjoyed the epicnes. Its just those little things in life that make me feel alive!
i saw this amazing band 2010 on the psychedelic network festival at the cairo - siince this day, i absolutely can't forget this band! the best stoner band i've EVER heard! and live you are even more better than the studio things!
Escuche esta canción hace unos 8 años y desde entonces no la dejo de escuchar. Se siente bien en cualquier estado mental, siempre tiene algo nuevo para sorprender. Saludos para todos desde Guatemala. Keep it blaze

I drove to my 12 hour shift today with this cranking and it hung with me all day, and my day was that much better for it :)
These are some of the best invested 16 minutes and 52 seconds of my life.
No matter how much time passes I always come back to this song, and still appreciate how good it is. Such an amazing piece of art
i was blessed enough to be there on the 19th of november 2017 when The Machine played this masterpiece live for the last time. it was one of the best nights of my life, and the kindness of strangers made it all the better. pouring my half-drunk heart out to a woman who frequented café Elektra, and she managed to get me one of the drum sticks from The Machine. Giljon sounds like an absolute blast!! Excellent, never plan a night out... just go for it and stay positive, my kinda style there.
It's so hypnotizing. Every time I start listening I think I won't make it thru, but it just flies by.
From the first drum beat you know this is gonna be great, then the guitar kicks in and you just know it's going to be an awesome 17 minutes.
lol, that's exactly what i thought when i heard the drums
Shame I can’t find this on Spotify. This was my gateway drug to the whole psychedelic/stoner genre....
Bandcamp is your friend.
same.
It’s kinda like taking the drug itself cause u discover a world nobody else seems to know about lol. Revisiting this song for the first time in a couple years. Sounds brand new every time
Yeah that’s why I got rid on Spotify because they don’t have any live or obscure bands or songs.
extremely sad for the same reason. I would love to ear it all over again and again. this is simply mesmerizing!!
I'm in THAT part of UA-cam again. Good to be here.
This jam was nothing short of incredible. It encouraged me to just sit and think for awhile.
Stop complaining about eras and genre's, just appreciate the musician ship and hard drugs that were put into this song.
Hahaha great comment
Well given that the band is Dutch this makes perfect sense.
I swear to u that I fucking wrote it on a paper and then put it on my wardrobe
Tis is verry psychedelic rock music
STP , airplane glue , and PCP . The social drugs all the beautiful enjoy
I feel like I'm so lucky to be the only one to appreciate this in my realm.

For every guitarists record, he was using a Russian Big Muff, a Danelectro Chicken Salad, a London City amp and matching 412, and an Epiphone Dot. Rock on!
Dan electro chicken salad?
@ebbentree yah its a pretty popular vibrato pedal.
Its jargon for schmancy guitar accessories. But it does sound like someone just ordered lunch 😅
I was jamming out to Tool and then this majestic magical melody just starting playing and now im hooked.
I can safely say Tool brought me here also, though it took me some yrs. Glad to enjoy this fine peace of artwork!!

Yes, if you're talking about existential crisis as being kinda the same thing. I try to mindfuck myself once a day, because it'd seem rude not to.

"When I listen to a really good song, I start nodding my head like I'm saying yes to every beat. YES! YES! YES!"
I have never heard such expressive, powerful guitar playing in my life. This is some real shredding. I love The Machine but also this song is something special on its own. Incredible sound and feel. Beautifully mixed and played music.

I prefer music with no lyrics a lot of the time so you can just rest and have your own enterpretations of it.

Same here. I usually just tune out lyrics from regular songs. To this day, I don't know the lyrics of an entire song.
