Kimi was being serious about saying that he hadn't changed, he was and still the same Raikkonen today his personality might've changed slightly because of him being a parent now, but the speed is there all this time it just got overshadowed by a lot of things *cough* ferrari's strategy *cough*
That was fun to watch! Brought back so many memories. Some of them bitter sweet like Mika retiring. But then to have this new super talented guy appear and Mika figuratively passing the torch to the rookie. It is clear to see with videos of him as a young lad that he has never changed as a person. He just became more reserved because of the media always being after him (and all the drivers) and he clearly does not like that. In many of his now iconic out bursts you can hear the frustration and pressure that is formula 1. I really hope they can pull a rabbit out of the bag at Sauber so he gets to show everyone that the speed and talent are still there, good as ever. Now it is a bitter sweet feeling again as the end of his career comes inevitably closer and there is no rookie to hand the torch to :-(
Kiitos, Kimi. We will really miss him so much. But at least now he could get his drincc, and not have to worry about the steering wheel and the gloves.
Another great video with some pretty rare video clips. As much as I like their livery for this year, with the white car and burgundy tail-fin, I'm wondering if Sauber will return to the blue/green paint job to welcome Kimi back! I can just imagine how much extra money Sauber will make in merchandizing now that Kimi is part of the team again.
Thank you again! Well im sure that Kimi gains way more sponsors to Sauber next year. Cant wait for next season to start. Lets hope for a great final drive for Kimi in Abu Dhabi and even better next season!
Although I would like a livery like that, I doubt it´s going to happen. The green and blue was because of sponsorship by Red Bull and Petronas. The white and burgundy are pretty much the house-colours of Alfa Romeo, and Ferrari won´t allow Sauber to paint their car in the colours of the two main competitors.
When I talk about Kimi : My Uncle (43) : "I grew up with him. And I was very happy when he came back to F1." My Dad (48) : "I watched him grow up. He really hasn't changed since I started watching him."
@@MRTJKTJK86 With that logic, you shouldn't even put Räikkönen on the same level as Alonso; Alonso, along with Hamilton and Vettel are on a higher level than Kimi (that doesn't take away from being a legend tho). But come on, Montoya could have been world champion, sadly for him, he had to be in the time of Schumacher and Ferrari at its prime; but in those distant 2001/2002, he (Montoya) was much better than both Alonso and Kimi, the guy could have won his first GP in just his 3rd F1 race if it wasn't for Verstappen's (Jos) stupidity.
I still believe that Heidfeld proved to be a better driver than Kimi, and yes, I know he had one more season in F1 than Kimi, but come on, that's basically still almost rookie. The difference that it makes having a good manager and being sponsored by a two-time world champion.
Too much technical problems in his career. Without them 🥇🥇🥇
"He's got many many more years in F1." He's still there in 2020. Still great!

Hi, I'm sure that you already know that if Kimi finishes on the podium at Abu Dhabi, it will be his 13th of the year, the most podiums of his career.

Who is here after the retirement?
Juan Montoya was a rokie too
Who? Just kidding, but cant really talk about Montoya when you are talking about Alonso and Räikkönen.
we cant exactly say he was a rookie as he had been racing in indycar series already.

Hopefully he will use 2001 throwback for his last race if he never comes back to F1 and McLaren again.

Wait, kimi drove in a ''red_bull''?
P.S i know it's a sauber with red bull sponsor
yep, and was also sponsored by petronas lol, i never thought i would see both petronas and red bull at the same uniform.
