Really loved this! I’ve been watching for 10 years and it’s so lovely to see the growth and success of TSG! Also love that you’re still Toronto based. Will there be any smaller DIY videos this year (DIYs people can do without the fancy equipment)?

good for you, that the channel has grown and you're more ambitious with projects and willing to challenge yourself, but i honestly miss the easy to do stuff which need minimal tools and minimal budget.
Me too. I used to watch this channel to get inspo for things I could actually do myself. But there’s no way I can go out and buy a ton of expensive (and difficult to store) power tools to replicate the things they make on this channel now. I obviously still watch their videos occasionally, but it is much less enjoyable now 😢
I'd love for them to see this and maybe start a back to basics series for us "oldies"!

I love Becky! I have always identified with her vibe, I love her fashion style and she keeps getting more confident and beautiful (as do all the girls, but this is her video ha!). This was a great idea for a video!

I love watching Hannah too! She seems super nice and I have a problem with watching anything DIY and reno related. Idefinitely have icks for some channels when they don't use proper safety equipment tho (no shade on anyone specific). SAFETY IS IMPORTANT

I thought this was a good rendition of the vouge 73 questions. It is meant to be quick and fun. But even with celebrities it comes off like they are kind of bothered and rushed. It's definitely opposite of a warm and cozy interview, but that's the point. Y'all nailed it. 😎

You don't have to be a fan of this format...but her doing a "take on 73 Questions with Vogue" doesn't mean she's suddenly unrelatable. It was a nice way to hear answers to questions in a format that is no nonsense. I didnt the feeling that her answers were at all scripted...not sure where anyone got that vibe from. It was fun and I enjoyed it! I enjoy this channel very much! Thank You for all you share with us!

I love qnas but I’m not a big fan of this format. Feels very very scripted and not geniune. I’d rather have a sit down video with questions from your subscribers
She asked for questions from subscribers via Instagram. I submitted one but it didn’t make the cut. 😊 I think a fun format would be if the questions were a surprise to her.

Cringy. I hate the interviewer conversational style. I had to speed up the video to get through it. I prefer it when Becky reads the questions and answers. The interviewer feels like a pestering in-law trying too hard

So I hate both mid century modern and 70s with a passion and yet, Becky is my absolute favourite youtube interior designer to watch, I like her bubbly personality and her creativity even if I dislike her preferred design styles. I’m glad to hear she doesn”t mind that not everyone loves mid century modern😁
PS Her dynamic with Austin is always good mood inducing for me, the guy is funny indeed. I wish he’d make more special appearances with Becky

same! used to like mid century a bit but grew out of that a while ago and now hate it 😂 but I still watch because they seem like good people and her and Austin are a great team
I lived through both and don't want to go back there again. Same as I don't want to wear bellbottoms ever again.
I'm happy it's not just me. I don't really like MCM either, and I have a "beautiful" dresser set that was handed down from my grandmother that is straight from the 50s. Due to the popularity I could probably get a small fortune for it, but I'll keep it because it was hers (even if I don't really like it. LOL)

When you said “vintage ikea” i did such a double take. I had no idea they have been around so long, or that they originally made furniture that’s built to last! Even if flat pack particle board furniture has existed in the 80s which… maybe it did? I doubt it would have survived 40 years. Cool find!
I have an Ikea dresser and a desk from the 70s. It will need a hurricane to destroy those.
My parents have ikea stuff from the 80s and it will not break. They’re not in style any more, but they last. The cheapest pieces probably won’t last, but the pricier and made of better materials pieces will exist long enough to be vintage.
Ikea used to be solid furniture! But in the past 10 years even the floating bookshelves have become terrible quality.
