Great video as always and very good point about spot burning and Fishbrain. I used to be very active on there with my catches until I started receiving private messages asking how I accessed certain fisheries and what bait I was using. It really does go against one of the cornerstones of angling: research and seek out your own spots and don't rely on having information so readily available. It completely takes the joy out of fishing. Rant over. These hooks are insane!!!
Im using the Titan 2/0 and 3/0 for barramundi fishing and the hook-up ratio is almost 100%. Landed 16lbs barra with ease. I once catched a 14lbs one with the Owner Flashy Swimmer but the hook bent more than just a bit after landing that fish.
BKK are very big down here in Australia !! Watched Monsters landed with no barb and no treble bending via Brooksy aka Frothcafe2 , he swears by BKK ..... Great Hooks !!
I’m on fishbrain and I genuinly enjoy the app, but I agree with you that it’s a crazy amount of spot burning there. Thankfully there is an option to remove your position which I always use. I am extreamely cautious with showing people where I fish due to me living in a pretty populated area. I’ve spent years trying out spots and coming up with what’s worth fishing and not. What I enjoy about the app is the awesome community and the friends you make on there. I do keep my fishingspots a secret though!
Man those screw lock worm hooks are massive. I thought my 10/0 from Decoy was huge. But after looking at yours I'm lost for words. I've used BKK Raptor hooks before. They are very strong but personally I prefer their treble with straight tip. The hookset is much better.
UK here man! I've been watching your vids for about a year now and I bought the okuma epixor after your review. It's holding up really well, and my dad went our and bought two because he was so impressed. @@TackleAdvisors I've honestly not had a real test for the drag. Those look nice I use the 8/0, 10/0, and 12/0 weightless owner beast hooks with 7 and 10 inch bustem baits and 10 inch BKD'S when fishing for Striped Bass. One thing I like about the beast hooks is the centering pin on the screw lock. One thing I have learned is with fish big enough to eat a 10 inch or larger soft plastic unless the plastic has a really deep profile you dont really need a humungous hook because those stripers eat the whole f-ing thing.
