Just about 5 minutes ago I bought the Gmax Ultra and then watched your review. Probably should have done it the other way around. But hey it was on sale and I only paid $615 for it. When I get it I will give it a ride and let you know my experience. Thank you for your very helpful review!
that doesnt only look like a "soflow" scooter (swiss manufacturer, scooters are well known in germany) with visuals, display, buttons on the left, and folding mechanism including hook system... but the SoFlow scooters also have the same issue with not accepting the throttle on kickoff.
As a owner of both the G4 and GMax Ultra, your review was *spot on*, and quite frankly, the most “insightful” of the many reviews online, if a bit lacking in the true measures specs. Can you do a review of the Emove Cruiser, as this is the model most will be looking to buy once they discover Gotrax’s lies about the range.. (And for all of you, one thing not covered in this review is the quality of Gotrax Customer Service, which by far is the WORSE in the entire industry, period.
I'm still hoping to see you try out Gyrocopter brand products, like Flash 3.0 scooter, their hoverboards, ebikes etc. This Gotrax Gmax Ultra doesn't seem to be worth the money though. Too many lies and easily damaged parts to be worthy of the price. Entry level scooters should be under $1K, simple as dirt to use, and require the most minimal of repairs and upkeep. So in my opinion, anything bereft of a solid honeycomb tire is an investment in future misery. Please review the Flash 3.0? It's honestly the best choice for an entry-level e-scooter, and it matches all of qualifications I mentioned above: It costs less than a grand (bought mine for $400 at Best Buy), is insanely simple to use, and the only maintenance I've ever had to do on it was tighten the brake cable and occasionally oil a couple squeaking parts.
Pretty nice videos, buddy! I’ve watched a few review videos of yours and even though there is a plenty of relevant information, it got me confused on which model I should get. Would you mind suggesting the best scooter at $800 (around that) amongst all the ones you evaluated? Thanks in advance.
Good scooter I got this for my first one now have G4 as well and the x9 with double battery making over 100 km range and 42 km hr speed.....and getting new MANTIS pro V2 this summer as much needed for my city with many hills and small pot holes etc...also I use SLIME IN ALLLL my tires and NEVER had issues since !!! Best 20 bucks ever and works on all air tires etc !! ✌god bless be safe ride safe and #awareness #xtremesportstherpy keep up great work bro
Thank you for the great video I had a Gotrax before and the range was also way less then advertised, it did very bad uphill and very bad breaks looks like they did not really fix any of these issues and I brought my last Gotrax about 4 years ago. Bad breaks are just such a big no no I am getting a new one and was debating Niu K310 pro and this one. This made my decision a lot easier Thank you
ok but its advertised at that range on level 1 speeds, not level 2. also they test it on mostly flat roads not hills. also if you weigh more it will decrease the range. if you want more power to go up hil then consider buying a gmax or g4 bc of the 350w motor.
Brother man it's wild I bought a scoot today with slow cruising you get advertised miles full throttle ain't getting you max mpg like any gas or electric stop spreading misinformation. Also brakes on tiny things like this use your weight and lean back bud bud gotta think smarter or just go blow 5k on a scoot idk
Love your videos man! Would love to see you do a review on the Fluid Mosquito scooter if you could get your hands on one. I've had my eye on it since it came out because it's so light with a pretty high top speed for its weight. There isn't too many reviews on it and I trust your reviews a lot. Anyways, I wish you safe and fun riding!
Err 13 miles... Interesting, I can get 30 miles pretty easily on my gmax weighing around 150 if I'm going like 13mph on average. Were you going max speed the whole time? Hate for people to think they're really only going to get 13 miles on a 630wh battery.... Of course if you go max speed it's going to be dramatically lower though
Ps. With commuter scooters like these with a max speed of 20mph, they are kinda designed to be taken easy and go for a nice chill safe ride, I get it, people like to ride fast but there's scooters designed for that and this ain't it. Just saying if you're not looking to go max speed all the time, this is a pretty solid choice IMO, almost 600 miles on mine with no flats or any problems yet, I'm sure they'll come but eh not bad!
Also makes sense that you kinda talked down about the scooter and said to look at the NIU scooters instead... Sponsorships are a hell of an influence lol
Yeah, I have an S2 Pro that has a 417wh battery and I’d have to try REALLY hard to only get 13 miles on a full charge. Something is definitely not right with his stat.
You should test out the e-wheels e2s v2, there are standard, pro an max version, you can also choose from tube or tubeless tires, its a solid scooter and ia one of the best scooters for its price, really good hill climbing and good range.
Nice review. Interesting on your comparison there that something like the kaboo mantis 10 lite wasnt included as a price for price substitute though. That was pleasantly surprising!
Hello, I'm new to the channel and electric scootering i order my first one today and it arrives Saturday. anyways, do you have a main scooter that you use if your just want a joyride or are going to the gas station to pick up candy or something? the scooter i got is a Gotrax GXL V2
Hey quick question, If you where to buy an Electric scooter would you rather buy the NIU KQi3 MAX/PRO or would you buy Gotrax G4/ ultra Series Electric Scooter (AKA this scooter in the video? Just wondering which one to buy?
Hey! Do you have any opinions on the Bogist C1 Pro? Ive looked into it for quite a while now and actually am getting mine in the mail tomorrow. I just have 0 idea if its a good scooter because the reviews on ALL scooters are so side to side. they are either amazing or trash. Originally the bogist cost a little over 1k, but now it is only 699$ or even cheaper at places.
@@bozmeg6918 thanks alot, aswell with asking if you dont mind knowing which charger its for because i got another one of these for my siblings but didnt come with the charger?
Looks like a nice scooter. I wonder, I'm searching for a hybrid between a scooter and a skateboard. Om that corners like a scooter and has that suspension a lot of skateboards don't have but which does have that portability and smaller footprint. Any Idea what I could have a look at? I mean, something like a Onewheel with suspension and if possible something to hold onto that folds down very easily. Any idea?
i had this scooter before buying my m4 pro that i now use on a day to day basis. the folding latch snapped on me twice and have had many issues with the mudguard also snapping off. the push to start was horrible and genuinely made me question the manufacturering quality. overall i don’t recommend this scooter as at this price point as it should have dual suspension and trigger start from 0mph
I hate to break the news, and I am surprised no one else caught this considering a comment even explained that they have a G4 and a Gmax ultra. YOU ESSENTAILLY GOT SCAMMED ABOUT 400$. I have the G4 and it is IDENTICAL in hardware. They market the Gmax Ultra as simply having much more range, as everything about the scooters are IDENTICAL. The reason it is technically a partial scam is because the Gmax Ultra and the G4 in reality have the same range and thus the same battery. I confirmed this by taking apart my battery and I found there is no room to spare in the G4. Therefore there is no way that the Gmax Ultra can have any more range than the G4. This is unfortunate because the G4 goes for 450-500$ roughly and the Gmax Ultra is about double at 900$. This is quite deceptive marketing. I hope I can inform at least 1 person that will be helped by this info.
I am so sick of seeing expensive scooters like this with only a 350 watt motor. Will you do a review on the Yadea KS5 Pro? It's cheaper than this, however it has suspension, 500w motor and solid tires. There aren't many videos on it, but from what I can tell it's one of the best in this price range for someone looking for reliability, range, and a faster top speed.
The bad thing about this E scooter is the tires. Airless tires always better because u don't get flats. Those tires costs more than 30$ per one. If u unlucky flatted two that 60$+ dang.
Bro, On your range test, going 25+ mph on the Kaabo Mantis 8 got your 17-18 miles and this getting 13.7 is very disappointing. That is Xiaomi m365 range on a scooter that's about $200 cheaper than a Kaabo Mantis 8. Very disappointing and 45 miles range advertisement is just unfathomable for this product. Honestly, I would skip this category of scooter when buying one because for just another 200-300 bucks more, you can get something dual motor, bigger battery, better quality, easier maintenance, faster speed, better ride quality and overall more fun. That's why I bought a Kaabo Mantis 8. I tried my friend's es4 which is $767 and I can say that my scooter is miles better in every way. My father has a ninebot max which is a pretty good entry level scooter because of the best build quality and range but I wanted a faster, more quality product so I got Mantis 8.
why aren't dual 350 watt motors a thing, so scooters like this can at least get up hills? I would buy a scooter with two 350 watt (but how much torque?) motors and a massive battery, it would be guaranteed to top out at 25 miles per hour. the range advertising is far and away the most egregious example of outright lying and false advertising by companies. I swear to god, eco mode only exists to give the companies an inflated number to put on their posters. I only use eco mode for parking lots if that, because it's too slow to ride in any other capacity
The kick off not that bad but you do sometimes gotta double pump the throttle to get started

When u first get the scooter will it be unlocked or will u have to type a code yo turn it on
For me I sometimes put that in self walk mode, hold the throttle so the scooter knows it’s going 3mph which will then start the scooter

I think something wrong with your kick off mode, because in my case I have to barely move it and it works right away flawlessly 🤷🏼♂️
