Drift tutorial by Baron on Gran Turismo 6 1080HD. Lesson #1 beginners class start the road to becoming a better drifter. With Nissan Silvia drift set-up included.
The sound will be fixed by Lesson #2 and for the more experienced drifters the upcoming Lessons will hopefully be more helpful with more advanced tips and techniques. Btw the next Lesson is in a Nissan 350Z !
Ott-Gamerz, Did you by any chance notice anything different about how the cars handle or feel after the 1.14 update? Obviously the car sounds were different after the update, but i really did feel like the cars actually felt better to drive too. Its kinda like they feel a bit more planted or stable when you counter any over-steer and the car comes back straight. It feels like the cars don't snap back on you quite so aggressively after you counter any over steer. And it feels like you can kinda stay on the power more, instead of always having to lift off every time you catch a slide and the car snaps back straight. I am using a DS3.
lol forza you are my father! :O No although I would love to play forza horizon 2 I have a ps4 so for the time being im waiting for project cars or the new nfs so many driving games coming in 2015. I play nfs shift2 for my driving thrills atm
oTT-Gamerz Ha ha ha, yeah!. No....no.....nooooooooo!!!!... thats not true!...thats impossible!!! (then jumps of the gantry ledge) I did played forza 4 ages back, and then at the time decided GT5 Prologue was more realistic. so sold the x-box and went with ps3. Glad i did now though. love gt6. They polished the physics in update 1.14. cars are more planted now, not so toy like. Same here mate, waiting for p-cars. Just worried about why no one seems to be able to drift any of the RUF or BMW's in the game? Doesn't that indicate a large physics flaw? You play NFS Shift 2 now? cool! I am addicted to Shift 1. Its all forgotten about now but damn! what a great little game. The Porsches in shift 1 handle great, I love how they over-steer and how if you're quick enough you can catch the slides. Hard to believe its so old now as it really holds up well next to games that are being released now. I love the rough around the edges feel of the game. Gnarly i think the word is.
Thanks for the advice. Even someone like me who has experience can get some pointers, cheers man. Just getting the hang of the pontiac gto for the 360 entry.
The game sound is too loud. I can't follow the guy's commentary during tire screeches. Also, the guy plays Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyrie" and Mozart's "A Little Night Music" in the background, which makes his commentary even less listenable. I wish this guy would do a complete sound check before proceeding with recording a video of a bunch of noise. If I'm complaining, it's only because I'd like to hear the information this guy is offering.
+Arthur Blenheim this tutorial was made in the early days when I just started getting into making videos for UA-cam, this videos audio has always annoyed me but it is what it is. This video kick started my love of making videos and even tho it isn't perfect it payed for a decent microphone, which all my newer videos benefit from. If you watch a newer tutorial of mine you can see a big difference in audio quality. Just so people know... I first started making picture montages then moved on to making videos but in those early days my equipment really sucked, I still apologize about that but I had to start somewhere.
Hello, I've got a question: do i need to change controller sensitivity for drifting? For now if i make a longer counter-steer the car just gets out of drift and slams into the barrier :/
as far as i can remember i never changed my controller setup for this game or even if this game had controller options except the basics. If there are options to play with then find what settings works best for you.
I did everything you told me to do but no matter what i do it keeps spinning out even when i let off the gas and most of the time no matter how much i try to turn it keeps driving off the track even tho its going like 10 mph what do i do?
Frank Zisa sorry I haven't played that game for a long time, normally its down to what order you input the gearbox settings ie. top speed followed by final gear ratio then the individual gears 1st to top gear. If you still have problems just do a short ratio with a top speed around 120mph with 1st at 40mph then going up in 20-30mph per gear.
ThrowBack Gaming I have already answered this, if you look in the comment section you will find it. It simply comes down to the order you input the settings.
AESCULAPTORmark3 Cheers mate. Yeah i see some guys drifting with full rotation setting and that looks damned difficult. Does it help to turn force feedback up. Obviously you need the wheel to spin by its self a lot when the back end of the car comes out. Seems far to snappy to me when the car straightens back up. Like you gotta be over precise with straightening wheels back up when the car regains grip. I know you gotta be quick to straighten up the steering in real life when ending the drift but it seems far to unforgiving in gt6.
+Łukasz Sadowski practice bro practice ive pretty much mastered drifting with a old ass beat up dfgt with sluggish ffb so its possible i can chain drift 600 hp cars with stock suspension setup on comfort hards for laps on laps on laps without messing up...its all about practice bro
this game is just stupid i can drift all time without spin in proper sim game live for speed but in gran turismo i can drift one corner sometimes 2 haha i hate arcade games
Your voice is the kind of voice I can binge watch to, so consider yourself +1 subscriber :)
this video is a great learning tool, thanks man, it will deffinately help me gauge the setup for my '13 shelby gt500!
This was a great tutorial, thanks! If anyone still thinks they have troubles, check out his other videos or practice on the track "Autumn Ring".
+Isaiah Klockman Thanks and sorry about the audio quality, didn't have a good microphone when I made this tutorial :/
It's ok, I still found it useful.
wow thx! you helped me getting 5,563 points at a seasonal drift event

i no longer play GT6 so I wouldn't know, but all the things I said in that tutorial were correct at the time on that version of the game.
oTT-Gamerz What you play now? DON'T SAY FORZA! have you turned to the dark side?
lol forza you are my father! :O No although I would love to play forza horizon 2 I have a ps4 so for the time being im waiting for project cars or the new nfs so many driving games coming in 2015. I play nfs shift2 for my driving thrills atm

So I've been trying for about an hour now, with no progress at all. Either my drift ends very quick or I spin out. There's no spot in between :(
+PaperMonkeyBoy and or tune more
Can u put a rear wing on the car?
I did everything you told me to do but no matter what i do it keeps spinning out even when i let off the gas and most of the time no matter how much i try to turn it keeps driving off the track even tho its going like 10 mph what do i do?
well clearly you are either doing somethong wrong or you have left some aids on.
Is it the same wiv a skyline r33 drift car
"You can be a good noob" lmao!!
Jahangir Hussain "You can be the best noob in the world" :)
oTT-Gamerz mate that made me laugh so hard haha
these settings for g27 wheel or controller?
Do you use a controller or a wheel?
+jordan fields controller
im doing this in 1.15 and the gears cant be set exactly and its almost impossible for me to drift. do you know why
Frank Zisa sorry I haven't played that game for a long time, normally its down to what order you input the gearbox settings ie. top speed followed by final gear ratio then the individual gears 1st to top gear. will any of this work for silvia spec r 99
Are you online today?
How do you get that color?
De que auto es el color
my stats for transmission are different from yours? for ex. gear 5 yours says 1241 mine only goes to 1124 why is this?
ThrowBack Gaming I have already answered this, if you look in the comment section you will find it. It simply comes down to the order you input the settings.
oh ok i see now thanks very much man!
no problem, have fun sideways! :)
steering wheels are smoother and need more skill lol
How did you get that blue colour?
+Lukas 16 dlc paint pack if I remember correctly
oTT-Gamerz okey, Thanks for the quick awnser m8 ;)
Yo dude do you got a new PS3? Or still none? Or next gen?! :$
Ralf Pawlowski ps2 n ps4
Demn dude. Wanted to drift with you. We will meet up anytime if i get a PS4 is that a good idea? :D
maybe I myt see you in Project Cars.
I hope so!
Ps oTT-Gamerz what is the car on the thumbnail?
Do u uses a Controller or a wheel
he uses the controller you see by the way the front tires turn
i use a controller :p don't forget Lesson #2 is already available and Lesson #3 is just around the corner!
Daniel Stokker Do the cars move more smoothly when drifting with a wheel such as the g27 ?
yea you can move more smoothly but it takes a whole lot off practice with a wheel
I know you gotta be quick to straighten up the steering in real life when ending the drift but it seems far to unforgiving in gt6.
a setup for more grip
Tobias carrillo soften rear springs a tiny bit
You are WRONG ! Im born to LIVE !
SpeedyPie FromNorway okaay no idea what your talking about
oTT-Gamerz In the video he says nobody was born to do anything, but i were born to live !
okaay then, kinda taken out of context
Wat paint is that
its florescent blue
wat rims
I'm still noob... :( i'll try it a lot ... can't do it men.
it's impossible... i can't stop spin... i have DFGT and car set like you
+Łukasz Sadowski practice bro practice ive pretty much mastered drifting with a old ass beat up dfgt with sluggish ffb so its possible i can chain drift 600 hp cars with stock suspension setup on comfort hards for laps on laps on laps without messing up...its all about practice bro
+Łukasz Sadowski its also wheel setting too though you might wanna change your settings
this game is just stupid i can drift all time without spin in proper sim game live for speed but in gran turismo i can drift one corner sometimes 2 haha i hate arcade games
i can't go as low as u in the drivetrain on the gears
Kristian Andreassen I have answered this a couple of times before you can find the solution in the comment section.
