    Welcome to the Pilates Beginners Series. The 4 workouts in this series are easy to follow with lots of form pointers so that you can familiarize yourself with Pilates without having to get too technical. The exercises are designed to lengthen and define your body in a joint friendly, low impact way that is suitable for all ages and exercise levels.
    In Pilates Beginners Core and Glutes you will start with a plank series that gets the whole body warmed up, move to a long lever lower abs series, then a c-curve upper abs series, a table top glute series, a back extensions series and finish with a lying glute series.
    Fitness level: Beginner/Intermediate (Add ankle weights or a resistance loop to make it intermediate!)
    Equipment: mat

    Omg beginners? Wow, was able to keep up for a 70 yr young lady, but I’ve done many of your other Barre videos so I felt good!

    Today was one of those days when I didn't feel like doing lots of reps but still wanted to feel it in my muscles so I chose this workout. I used my ankle weights to make it intermediate. That's exactly what I needed. Thank you, Linda! You are my favourite instructor! Dear, O.A if you are reading this, I'm sorry but Linda is my number 1 now 😁!

    Oh my God, how is this a beginners exercise? I've been doing pilates for years and I felt this so much! I have a herniated disc between S1 and L5 so and crunches are really painful so I've not done any in at least 2 years. The part of this video that is for the front of the core involved no crunches so my lower back didn't hurt but now I know my abs are really really weak from neglecting them for so long! I've focused on strengthening my lower back and glutes area which has really been helpful to manage the pain but forgot the front of my core still exists! This is the kind of workout where I had to stop a few times, curse loudly, and then get back to it.

      haha, it's Barlates beginners not beginner beginner as such. I don't really know how to do real beginner workouts I would be bored to treas.😁

    I don’t know why exactly but for me mat workouts always feel much tougher than standing workouts. This was great though! Thanks!

    I did this today. The ‘tuck’ cue takes the intensity to a whole ‘nother level. It’s the end of the day and I’m reeeally feeling my glutes already! Thank u!!

      yep, tucking the hips in opposition to the squeeze is the answer to quicker burn! 😊

    I love love your workouts! Yes I had to have a few weeks to be able to do the beginner once but the results are amazing!!! And I don’t have to jump or run around! And I hurt my ankle with a bit of modifications I was able to complete this anyway!!! Thank you so much!!!
