This was wonderfully done
What's hard to believe is that she was only introduced this expansion and she feels like she was part of the game the whole time... She was a very impactful character and I hope she has a presence in the content to come. I've been thinking about some of the comments from some of the people who played WoW and of their new villain and how it just doesn't make sense, whereas FFXIV we just introduce new characters every expansion, and they just seemingly fit in like a piece of the puzzle you never realized was missing.
I was and still am disappointed that the answer to the Sound was "depressed ascian space probe" but as a character Meteion is quite well done.
@@specialnewb9821 well the answer to the sound is better than what I was fearing, which was a destabilizing core of the Star, and push some kind of environmental agenda into the story
@@spaceyzane9275small risk of that imo. FF7R should have that covered unless Nomura goes completely off the rails in part 2.
The way I see it, Endsinger may be the villain, but she's not the enemy.
The enemy is despair, sorrow and, in a word, human suffering, things that we've been battling nonstop since ARR.
In fact, it makes far more sense that the final enemy is a personification of these themes than an evil mastermind or other more traditional villain.

I swear, Zenos thinks to the very end that he's the main character, and the WoL is the rival. Everything else is trivial XDD
When all the scions shouted "Light the way!" in my first run of this I fucking screamed
While you probably have been informed by this point, the Scions praying during the fight was what the Scions did for Loisouix by summoning the Twelve in 1.0/ARR Trailer. (Still anime though)
It also seems to be a homage to FF4's final boss Zeromus and how all the people on earth that you met along the way pray to revive the party after Cecil is the only one still conscious at 1hp

That was the best part of the fight imo, I loved the throwback to the ARR trailer and how the music swaps to you being the boss now. I dont watch anime often but it didnt seem that "anime" to me at all
@@travisk5046 the anime part is getting your second wind from the power of friendship, which is a common trope in shonen battle anime, even though it's kind of justified due to how Dynamis works.
Hello! how are you enjoying bard at 90? I have mine at 60 currently and was wondering how you feel the gameplay compares? I like it but I prefer machinist right now but if it gets busier at later levels i might switch over
IMO Bard start to feel much better from 70 onward, same for most if not all other job, since it buffs the proc chance and make it slightly more busy + satisfying. Still desperately need to be able to spread the dots tho.
Machinist pretty much stay the same throughout tho, just simple 1 2 3 until your heat gage up, then burst it down, weaving assembly + drill.
I really wonder how all the former WoW players will react to the Light the Way segment. Particularly Preach, Rich and Asmongold, although we probably won't see him get this far for a while

I still can't believe they gave Zenos a Sasuke moment, even the last fight punches are similar to their final fight. Someone on the writers team really likes Naruto lol.

the endsinger was a great last trial but i thought it was a little too easy
Extremes are for difficulty, the story trials are always meant to be spectular before being difficult since every "normal" player should be able to beat them.
@@Supersenkel2 people usually have trouble with the last one. Lots of people complained about normal shinryu
@@insertcognomen People even had trouble with the 1st EW trial. So much so that they needed a dorito (triangle marker for a player who knows all mechanics, fyi) to follow.

XIV player skill gap is big. Aside easy or not is also the job you play and how you optimize it.
Though, I don’t think the last trial will have EX. For a story standpoint, you just gonna die for sure.
They make it easy to progress since you also has handicap and cross platform. 14 has never overtune bosses outside of Bozja. Otherwise, you would hear a lot more complains. Again, if you do not have all the kits, it would make that harder to complete in the same way the Garlemand be.
I will never understand why people use arms length/surecast only to position themselves in accordance with the knockback mechanic... like, I use them to ignore the respective mechanic. And in this fight you even get punished for that xD 17:03, perfect example
as a Gunbreaker main, i use it with Reprisal, it is a VERY powerful combo, enemies hit you 20% slower and for 10% less damage (cos Reprisal)
Its not good on bosses but dungeon packs its a must if you wall to wall pull, really hate seeing other tanks not use it.
I know I'm super late but if you don't know the fight you might think that the knockback is pushing you away from where you are supposed to be. In that case, arm's length is a great ability there. That wasn't the case here though obviously.
When the scions Save your ass isn't fun for you because you can't understand the weight of the moment for you is only a game for fun. You are emotionless
I see your still talking through the storyline while its playing, why do people think they can add to an already good storyline. none are actual sages of insight or information.
