You know the vocals are low when your friend thinks the breakdown is pitch shifted and you have to show him a live version of the song for him to believe it's real
I'm not saying it is pitch shifted cause Alex is very talented, but to play devil's advocate, a live concert video is not really a testament to a lack of pitch shifting. I think until he does one of his completely raw insta videos, just iphone video and him in a room, then people will continue to believe it is pitch shifted.
@@littlebighead15 I'm sure he'll do it if it gets enough attention. Even so the live videos he does on his UA-cam channel still have some of the lowest vocals I've ever heard lol. @Robert Peck I was unaware there were several raw iphone videos of him doing the demolisher breakdown on his insta. Unfortunately I was only able to find one from a day ago. So hopefully that video will put the topic to rest.

As the hours of UA-cam I’ve watched become days and weeks, I’ve never commented on a video until now. Just never felt so compelled. This is by far the most incredible deathcore song I have ever experienced. And to be frank, within my top 3 greatest overall metal songs in existence. It has been so long since a song gave me legitimate goosebumps, more than once within the composition. Intro, vocals, guitar, that brutal bass drum, the breakdown, Alex’s uncanny ability to channel demons in Russian, all of it. Seriously everyone, slow down and comprehend this. Demolisher is a masterpiece. Slaughter to Prevail has won me over as a diehard fan. Now, let me catch my breath.

@@TheCulturedCapy triggers don't really mean anything. They're just little electronic sensors that go on the drum. Alot of people call them cheating but they really aren't.
@@TylerCritti It can't be cheating because no human is physically able to sustain a high kick volume at such extreme speeds. They'd basically have to stamp their legs every half-millisecond for a high volume.
That's why I feel like he wouldn't be the type to use vocal pitch shifting cause I feel like it would insult his talent and all his fans would be a lose lose situation. (Tbh though it still sounds cool vocal shifted or not haha)
hellooomotto He already did an Instagram video on it!
@Robert Peck I was unaware there were several raw iphone videos of him doing the demolisher breakdown on his insta. Unfortunately I was only able to find one from a day ago. So hopefully that video will put the topic to rest.
For the longest time I thought the drums in this was a drum program, thinking there's NO WAY someone could play double bass that fast..
But after a few YT searches, I was totally wrong. This drummer is legit
Evgeny Novikov, homie. Dude is an absolute monster. Watch his drum playthrough of this, it’s unreal.
Crazy thing is there are plenty of drummers who can play double bass significantly faster
@@papasauce234 Francesco Paoli comes to mind
Welcome. I’m assuming you are new to metal…
U ever heard of Joey Jordison?
I listened to this over 10 times and I still can’t figure out how this man can growl like an actual demon
"Hey Grandma wanna hear a song?"
Careful, her oxygen tank might explode if you hit play too close to her
Thank you for this idea. My grandma won’t know what hit her.
I think my grandma just died

The bells on the drums during that breakdown are fucking amazing.
Dong ding dong psh
I actually thought that was the best part was the 3rd timing bells, was musically the most intense
When's this going to be on spotify? I need to add this to my deathcore playlist. This song slaps harder than my mother.
I've been wondering this too
It got removed from spotify. Apparently they have problems with their record company.
Probably never
Link your playlist bro?
Yeah man link the playlist
That double stick spin @1:12 is killer! Evgeny is an absolute monster. Mario of gojira used to be my fave drummer until i discovered this dude. Never thought mario would be topped in my world but here we are!
I really want Alex to make it, the guy deserves it and production seems to be getting better and better. Him and CJ are probably the best in the business right now.
Don't forget Ben duerr. That guy's a god.
Also Dickie Allen and the guy from Shrine of Malice. Also Dave Simonich is nuts
Darius of Spite, and Dane from To The Grave are extremely good too. Big ups to To The Grave, that guy sounds like a fucking band saw.
Tom Barber is insane too
@@boomshlang32 Darius sounds just as perfect live as the albums. I was blackout drunk at both concerts and I remember his vocals.
The only bad thing about this is the fact that it’s not on Spotify 😔
So true :/
it will be out with their new album
Just wait a bit
Yeah.. :(
Agreed. At least the filthy breakdown from Agony is on there.

Everyone always talks about Alex's vocals at the breakdown and they completely miss the drummer fuggin gettin it at 2:05 🔥🔥🔥

The drummer brings me to tears everytime
Man could get water out of a rock

This is the kind of song that makes you want to blast it in public so you can look at peoples disgusted faces from the sheer brutality of the music

His vocals are truly insane , including the drummer and guitarist. It is not often I get goosebumps from deathcore/death metal o.o
Basist 🙁
@@eVGEGENY_AF That, too!
his raised cleans in the chorus sound so good. glad to hear him doing more of those gnarly gutturals too and experimenting with his highs. this song ripped me a new hole to breathe out of.
As an old metalhead I can tell you something is happening here . Something I havent felt since Pantera . Something in the attitude , the feel of the music .
Do you still headbang
@@Jon-lr8nx Not so much anymore since I buzzed off all my hair and being older means headbanging hurts the next day . LOL .
i am also an old guy with a buzzed head (NU METAL) and i tell you fucking metal never dies (only rusts) 😝😝😝😝
This genre is called Deathcore. It's been around for a while, I suggest checking it out, you might like Suicide Silence. Their vocals get pretty high but also very low
It's the pauses it adds so much to a song. And so many artists forget to utilize the pause. Silence is a voice that speaks louder then a scream.
Dude the drummer legit has v12 engines in his legs. Even playing the same technique I literally cannot get the speed at 2:06. To be honest I thought maybe it was a drum machine but it’s not. Honestly one of the best metal songs ever in my opinion
@@Kieranh4424 Seriously I am not a drummer (guitarist here) but that super sonic fast speed part stood out to me as well.
Robert John Dela Rosa if you wanna see how he does it there is a drum play through. Even after reading watching it I still don’t understand how he can do that
@@Kieranh4424I am currently trying to learn how to shred and as of present time, on my part the equivalent of what you're saying is me seeing that crazy tapping in the solo of Sea of Lies by Symphony X. Haha. Like, I think I get what Michael Romeo is doing but then I hear the notes and I'm like "what's happening??"
This is death metal. They graduated from deathcore. Surprised Putin hasn't silenced them, that bloated piece of shit. Lmfao

Can we talk about that drummer? Mans out here creating earthquakes with his feet
TheJaxalProject for real tho!!! That’s Evgeny Novikov , he’s a damn monster
apparently he uses triggers, but that´s what literally anyone says about fast drummers now so idk if it´s true or not
@@TheCulturedCapy if you play fast, your strokes get less powerful. triggers bring the strokes to all the same volume, so you can play fast, and still hear every stroke clearly. normal for every extreme metal drummer
So yeah, it makes complete sense to use triggers so that the extreme speeds can be pulled off but the volume maintained at a high and clear level.
And in this video, you can see supreme Slav Squat technique being displayed.
Life Of Boris would be proud of that squat
Always ready to get back into action, if situation requires...
I've heard this song a thousand times, no matter if i'm at work at a party or sitting by myself... The breakdown every single time I bang my head like I'm at a concert. I think pantera is the only band that has ever come even close to that.🤘 Thank you!
