I have a possible explanation about the Wintersand Manor: Nazeem wanted to build the manor in his beloved cloud district but being bankrupt the only thing he could afford was the key and he use It to boast and say that the manor it's almost done (he know nobody goes in the Clouds district to verify it), probably the jarl himself never gave him permission to build it
Great Video, and the bit at the end about nazeem having so much potential as a character really encapsulates how I feel, not just towards Nazeem, but towards many characters in skyrim. There were so many opportunities for little quests, and even a few more fleshed out ones. I fondly recall quests from the witcher 3, such as the pan woman in white orchard. So much intrigue just from collecting a pan for a kindly old lady. Having something like that, something that would tie nazeem to the world of skyrim in a deeper way would have been perfect.
I would 100% agree, a lot of content here is missed. Skyrim is a massive game as is and I'm assuming the small team they had at the time was the main limitation, but it's interesting to see what remains of the cut content
Mean while in Fallout 4 Preston is the most hated NPC because he always bother us with "by the way... another settlement needs our help" even after having the most intense discussion with him. Mean while Nazeem earned that place because many players when they started the game they encountered him, and his first words to most of those players are always "do you get to the cloud district very often?"... So, we have this sequence in the vanilla Skyrim: after we got the help of either Hadvar's family or Ralof's family after scaping Helgen, most players just retrieved the Golden Claw for Lucan and Camilla, so they go to Whiterun and get their welcome from the companions after battling the Giant (either if you helped them or not, their attitude will change), and then we proceed to get that entrance guard to stop us from entering the city, so there we have multiple choices, so I suppose most people was forced to bribe rhe guard (and forgot that just telling him about the attack in Helgen or that Riverwood is indanger), so then we enter into the city and we start listening to Idolaf and Adrianne discussing about the weapons for the imperial legion, so the whole argument plot put the players into a change of mood, because... in Riverwood most people there is charm and gentle with the player, a warm welcome when starting a new gameplay, but then Whiterun is a change because the city is in tension due the on going war, and then Nazeem appear with its most classic quote... but in fact, the thing that pisses the players off the most is that, even after killing the first dragon and becoming the thane of Whiterun... Nazeem is just the same against the player, and even if the player defeats Alduin he is still the same (like most of the NPCs), but it's something that makes people feel offended by him, but they got this whole introduction to Whiterun with the companions, Idolaf and Adrianne discussion, even Braith being rude with us and then Nazeem appears. The whole plot in Whiterun puts Nazeem ina position of being annoying by the fact that he's the only character on the city that its whole role is being an arrogant character, and you can't interact with him outside the normal quotes: he doesn't give you a quest, his only participation in a quest is being the target for a brawl and... that's all, the rest of the NPCs had interaction related to gameplay, side quests, jobs and even marriage, but not Nazeem. His wife also doesn't have much participation but she talks with the player seeking someone to listen her about his marriage issues, and Nazeem in the other hand is just a random NPC without relevance that acts like if he is an important one.
Maybe its just me??? But i grew up playing Soul Calibur and they released probably one of the coolest characters in gaming called: Zasalamel (A bald black guy with a scythe) who then turns into Abyss who is just....👌👌👌 His Voice actor has the most perfect voice for a villain (or neutral god who doesnt intervene with mortals) But the Voice Actor of Zasalamel just so happens to also be the voice actor of Nazeem (Another Bald black character) The moment Nazeem walked up to me that first time and spoke to me i instantly burst out saying: THATS HIM!!!! THATS ZASALAMEL!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ever since that day, i use Mods to make Nazeem my follwer, as listening to him beat the crap out of everyone while talking down to everyone like the little ***** they are is hilarious 😂 I dont like Nazeem But i am UTTERLY IN LOVE with his Voice Actor He also has an Anime he voices in english dub called "Blade of The Immortal" which i specifically watched to listen to his voice
I remember when I was playing Fallout 4 the first time and I first got on board the Prydwen, and the guy in the hat started talking to me and I was like "Oh my fucking god, that's Tuvok from Star Trek Voyager!" .... and then he was never relevant to the plot again, and I was sad about that because I fuckin loved Tuvok. ... And the funniest thing is that is the second time that has happened. I had exactly the same reaction when playing a Dalish elf in Dragon Age Origins, talking to Zathrian... and "Oh my fucking god, that's Tuvok!" ... Tim Russ is a legend. This isn't really about Nazeem nor Zasalamel (I playing Soul Calibur 1,2,4 and 5, but never 3 because of format issues)... but I totally get the feeling of instantly recognising a voice actor from some other beloved franchise.
No offense, but for as long as I've ever watched your videos you have always had this double wr guard scaf thing going on over the well in Whiterun...why have you never installed a patch to fix it? Or just disabled it yourself? How does it not bug you lol?? Do you just honestly like the way it looks? I have to know lol..

Its possible that Nazeem is an investor in the Drunken Huntsman. Which unlike for the Dragonborn or other player characters, gives him the right to live there rather than just an extra amount of sales budget...
man i know this is very hi def but the colorful happy version of White Run does not work - does it? do you guys like this color? it just seems too pretty to be skyrim. (>'.')^
I honestly thought Nazeem could've had more of a better character development. I'm surpirsed they didn't give him side-quests. I would've thought if you've finish all of his quests he'll start acting nice to the dragonborn and that he's just a typical tsundere npc.
"I hunt the game myself everyday" Does he, though? Does he? He spends most his time at the stall, so how is he REALLY getting all that meat? And why are there so few orphans in this war-torn city? #woodelveseatpeople #skyrimbelongstothenords
I hate him so much he is arrogant rude and annoying but the one thing that scared the fuck out of me was when I was in the castle and he appeared behind me at first I found him looking at the maps and took a picture of it and was like "well clearly you do venture within the castle?" I even took a picture of him looking at the maps well when I was turning around again he was right behind me and scared the fucking shit out of me I was like "dude personal space is a thing!"

I just had a thought. Y'know how that Dawnguard/Vampire quest doesn't consider Nazeem an important person? Well, the Dawnguard DLC was released quite some time after the main game. And even back in 2012, people had ways of voicing their opinions in a way that developers could read or hear. So... Maybe the devs intentionally made Nazeem an 'unimportant person' according to the quest as a small jab back at players? Think about it. Because Nazeem is so easy to hate, most players who get assigned Whiterun for that quest would automatically pick out Nazeem. And while it technically does progress the quest, you just don't get the bonus you'd get if you picked someone less annoying to slaughter. That's just my two cents, anyway.
I have no issues with him, actually. Yes, he's an snooby asshole, but he's nothing special, he's pretty cookie cutter classic stuck up "noble" you see everywhere in movies and games. Delphine is way, waaay worse, literally unlikable, and on top of that, stupid AF. Imagine being part of a group that revolves a single special person (the dragonborn) and after hundreds of years you finally found them, the first thing you do is risk their lives sending them into an infiltration mission right into the lion's den. And Cicero? Cicero I like.
Great video Nariva! Thanks for having me in this video! :)

Nazeem lovers better watch out!
@CaptPanda there's room on the Nazeem Lover bandwagon 😉
Hope you guys collab more!!
Waddup Panda! 🍻

Why is Nazeem so hated? Well, to quote a Tumblr post about annoying vs evil characters: The war crimes are fictional, my annoyance is real.
Did you really just come here to advertise tumblr? For shame...
Nazeem owns the farm but he doesn't work it. That is by far his worst personality trait.

I don't hate him, I don't care about what he says
I sell Nazeem's produce to Sergio Pelagia, who sells it to Carlotta. So in my game Nazeem is insulting his own produce...
That dagger's position is very unsettling.😅
