Skipping the text at the end also skips the ending cutscene and goes straight to the credits. That's why Stephen missed it. It's a _really_ good cutscene so I hope he looks it up on UA-cam or something just to see it.
I really like how the modern Doom games adapted the series’s approach to story telling, in that the story is there if you the player want to find it but the player character absolutely does not care. He just wants to kill demons.
