I have been wanting to try this game out for a long time and this is the by far the most in depth and recent tutorial I could find so the effort put into this gem is much appreciated!
Thank you very much I managed to install it on ya switch, your work is really admirable. I'm 37 years old and I've never played this classic and I wanted to do it in the best way and I loved this port.
Awesome video and it's way easier than I thought. Do you also have a video or guide on how to do this for 2 ship TLOZ MM and maybe even the new Star Fox? As well as recommended mods and settings?
I don't have one for Starship yet, I still need to check it out. but lucky for you I just uploaded a video like this for 2Ship Majora's Mask yesterday. It is one of my recent uploads but I will also update the description here to include it. :)
Also as an aside. You cannot have both USE DPAD FOR PAUSE SCREEN and USE DPAD TO EQUIP items toggled at the same time. they clash and neither setting works
First of all, thank you for the detailed video. Very well explained. A thumbs up for that. I'm from Germany. Everything works. But the walls and forest wall textures don't work. What can I do? Please help.
I am glad the video was helpful :) Unfortunately I can't find anything on the texture loading issue or how to fix it. Sorry, wish I could be more helpful there :(
Should be the exact same process. Your file app will look slightly different, but the actual process is the exact same, Windows 11 is very similar to Windows 10.
I wouldn't say it is entirely better personally. If I am being honest I think the 3DS version still looks better than this texture pack, especially when playing on Citra. But the main pros to Ship of Harkinian to me is that it plays better on a TV since you don't have to mess with the touch screen at all and I am never completely satisfied with screen layouts on emulators. The other reasons would be the built in and easy to use randomizer features, the nice quality of life changes such as the bunny hood and faster block pushing, and avoiding the shader stutter that comes with emulating on Citra. However, I recently learned about this homebrew software called Arctic Base that lets you stream your 3DS on to Citra. The streaming works far better than I expected and it can still apply HD texture packs on the fly. This lets you run the game off 3ds hardware, meaning you can avoid the shader compilation stutters while enjoying the game on your tv/monitor with high res textures. You can use the 3DS as your controller and the touchscreen and gyro still works so the only downside I have left is that the bottom screen still has to sit in the corner of my tv. I might prefer playing this way until Ship of Harkinian can look exactly like the 3DS version, as I do prefer the 3D visuals over any of the texture packs available. Each version has its benefits, but which is better is up to you and I am glad you found the video helpful :)
the problem with the 3ds models is that they look out of place in the n64 environment. the 3ds remake got an overhaul on environmental graphics which lent itself to the 3ds models better. Here they just look flat

Earned my sub. You legitimately deserve so much more recognition. This guide was absolutely perfect and summed up everything in a great way.

As long as you're running a Windows OS, everything should be the same.
Hello Thx for this Video. Why do you think this Version is better then the 3DS game on Citra with HD Texture Pack?

the 3ds character pack is outdated, djipi's pack contains everything that pack has & more.
not true, djipi's pack only has the textures not the models
@@carteraseca bro, I’ve been in the discord since the pack was started 👍🏻
@@iiTzSamuraiSo what? Just shows that you haven't been paying attention or have poor reading comprehension. His mod does NOT include the 3DS models.
If you say so…. I’m not about to argue with randoms. My original statement still stands Djipi pack is better and the other one is outdated
@@iiTzSamuraiYou're spreading false information though.
