This guy gets it! ^^^ It captures the game so well. 1. News reports about crime and property damage. 2. "Days Like These" 3. Cop chatter. 4. Some guy presumably being threatened in the background. "Hold it. What do you wanna do with me." 5. The classic 60s vibe of the instrumental. I could go on!
@@dustinmalpass I think it's a commentary piece on the way American news is, from a business perspective, run as a form of entertainment rather than as a public service because spectacle makes money. Small crimes are sensationalized making us hyper-vigilant and paranoid while at the same time de-sensitizing us to the real big stories. It's like, the mentality has become "Deadly wars and mass shootings are A-OK as long as they're happening in someone else's country, in someone else's neighborhood far away in the big city, now I'm gonna' sit here in my fortified suburban compound with an alarm system and a camera at every door and a loaded gun in every room and listen to the man on TV tell me more about how poor people and minorities are planning to do an Oceans 11 on me specifically". IIRC there used to be laws attempting to prevent such things but I believe they were struck down in either the 1980s or the early 90s.
